They are responsive, and they do an outstanding job of scheduling. When you're not in a routine with a regular caregiver, though, some of the caregivers aren't the greatest. Once you get into a rhythm, everything is great. She had some really terrible caregivers when her regular caregiver couldn't make it, and they were just trying to fill the gap in time.

There are visual sheets created for him to do and if I don't push that it does not get done. If I'm not there initiating it and pushing it, then it does not get done. There are sheets to do in the morning and in the afternoon, and they are not being utilized. It's a struggle for both him and the caregivers because he doesn't always agree to do things. The office and all that is good, but I don't know about the caregivers. On the whole, they care for him, make sure he eats, and care for his safety, but they don't take him out or do the assignments. We have team meetings each month, and I have voiced my opinion to them so they know where I'm at with things. The lady who works with me is trying to get him into daycare to get him out of the house.

I think that the most important thing for us was Right at Home's flexibility and their ability to change the schedule weekly. It was a huge relief to know that we were able to flex the hours up and down as we needed coverage.

The first caregiver was good. I liked him a lot. He quit the company and quit working for me.The second caregiver took it upon himself to do his laundry in my laundry room without asking and when he was told not to do it again, he did it again. He violated my husband's HIPAA rights. I don't know if I'm going to have to tell the government about what happened. The third person was great, but I found someone to work full-time. They did come in and take care of my husband. I found out that it wasn't ideal care, but they stepped up when I asked them. They provided help for me for the hours.

So far, everything is going smooth, and the caregivers are getting along well with my mom. They have helped mostly with taking her to the doctor and driving her to places because she can't drive and has a hard time getting in and out of places. The amount of caregivers and quality of them isn't good. There's a poor quality of scheduling. We have so many new caregivers that I constantly have to be here to show them what to do and make them comfortable. It's not so much of the caregivers, but with scheduling.

A nurse does the assignment and I think that is very valuable. They have a joint commission, no minimum hours required, and all my needs are with the same caregiver. I have had the same caregiver for the last while. My loved one has been safe while I was away from the home. The caregiver prevented my loved one from falling one day.

They have different care options. One caregiver goes beyond and above to care for my loved one. They know how to care for them in every aspect as far as being patient, being understanding, and conversing with them.

At this point, I probably wouldn't recommend them because of communication, and one of the caregivers was supposed to come but she never came the very first time. Then the caregiver came two weeks later and all of a sudden I was told that this caregiver was let go. However, I was told she wasn't fired. But, now we have a new caregiver who we like. Unless we have something setup consistently, it's not going to work because of my uncle's condition. I need someone who is dependable. If they come, it will be a huge help to me. But, now I am disappointed with the services. They requested all the cleaning supplies I have, and their job is to help him bathe and do house cleaning if they come. If they don't come, these things are going to be backed up.

My caregiver right now is very devoted. She's part of our family. She fulfills every need that we currently have. My loved one's entire disease is progressing, and so therefore things constantly change. We have to be aware of that and the caregiver seems very familiar by signals or things that patients offer. She has to be in tune with that.

Right at Home is the only company in town that offers transportation. With Right at Home, I no longer have to take my mother to doctor appointments. They do that for me.
