At a time when you don't want to hire a caregiver but have no choice, Applause came through with amazing people to take care of my mother. I needed flexible hours and they accommodated. The caregivers that came were all caring and most importantly, skilled. And, they all said how much they love working for the company so that says a lot!

This agency went above and beyond for my mother. They started care quickly and were able to increase the care as it was needed. All the caregivers were kind and dedicated to helping the patient. The office was extremely responsive whenever there was a question. I would highly recommend this agency.

I hired Applause Home Care 6 months ago to take care of my 100 year old mother. My mother recently passed but she received excellent care from her aides. She was not mobile and they were gentle and patient with her. They fed her, dressed her, and kept her comfortable and clean. She was treated with such dignity and respect. I don't know how I would have coped without them, and am so grateful they were recommended to me.

My mom had been forgetful before a recent multi-week hospitalization, but the long stay in unfamiliar surroundings and all the noise and weirdness of hospitalization had resulted in “Hospital Dementia” which caused really scary cognitive issues. A friend told us about the companionship services from Applause Home Care and how – maybe – having a professional companion for more human interaction throughout the day might help to stabilize her mental state. Within a day of calling Applause we had a set of wonderful people who came in to keep Mom company for the rest of the hospital stay. This really helped a lot and gave us much needed relief as we couldn’t be there as much as she needed for her mental state. Jim, who is the owner and key point person at Applause was so knowledgeable and clear as he helped us to think through what we might need to help Mom get better. He was always there to answer questions and to hear our concerns. Upon discharge from the hospital, Jim and his team helped us with transferring Mom to a rehab (prolonged bed rest meant that she had lost her ability to walk). The rehab was a rough environment also, in terms of her mental state and Applause continued to provide really wonderful folks to come be with her to offset the disorientation. This really helped her to progress with PT and to tolerate the stay in the rehab. A few weeks later they helped us to get her back home, assessing what we would need to make the house as safe as possible for her and arranging for us to have a great 24-hour aid for the first 2 months of her recovery at home. Her needs are changing now as she is a whole lot better and we trust Jim and his team to help us figure out what sort of assistance will be optimal going forward. Everyone from Applause has been kind and capable. Great communication and wonderful patience, which is important for our peace of mind since all of this is so new to us. I cannot say enough good things about Applause. They have been a God-send.

Jim and his team were just what our Mom needed. Even though Mom could be challenging at times, they never gave up. They were great at getting "substitutes" when needed. They always answered our calls quickly. Our wonderful live-in aide took care of Mom till the bitter end and was part of the family as we said our goodbyes. Jim is a very hands on owner who truly cares about his clients and employees. It was so good to see Jim at Mom's wake. I highly recommend Applause Home Care!

I am now moving to assisted living being that my family decided I need more care. We have been using Applause for 2 years . I found them to be reliable and trustworthy. They found an aide for me ,Nancy, that went above and beyond to make my everyday living comfortable but now it is time to move to a 24 hr care facility.

We called Jim at Applause Home Care because we pulled my 86 year old mom out of rehab due to a Covid outbreak and needed a health aide same day. Not only did Jim come through for us, but he sent us a truly wonderful aide. She was compassionate, professional and treated my mom with such respect. This was our first experience with a health aide and Jim and company made the entire process painless. I would highly recommend this company. They are responsive, professional and your loved ones will be in great care.

Our experience with Jim and Applause were excellent. When I needed help for my Mom and after 2 other agencies could not help put due to lack of staffing, Jim stepped up and came to our rescue! He provided a couple of competent, caring and professional aides to attend to my Mom. I am in another state from my Mom but Jim made our initial conversation clear and always followed up on any questions I might have had! The 5 weeks went so smoothly! I would highly recommend Jim and Applause and I thank them for making what could have been a stressful time just the opposite!

I was very appreciative of and highly recommend Applause Home Care who helped with my dad who is eighty-seven and has Alzheimer’s. Applause was willing to start with a shift a week which was my mom’s comfort level. It was extremely helpful to find an agency willing to do this and who could reliably staff the shifts. When things suddenly changed and my parents needed more assistance, they were able to quickly add more shifts, including very last-minute overnight shifts. Jim, the owner, was very kind and responsive, putting my parents at ease, and so was the nurse who did the initial evaluation and with whom I spoke. The aides were all professional and reliable and the aide who staffed the afternoon shifts was very kind and helped my dad with showering which had been a challenge. My mom also really appreciated how thoroughly he cleaned up afterwards. It was a huge relief knowing we could rely on this agency!

I used the services of Applause Home Care for both of my elderly parents for over three years. Applause is a team of the most knowledgeable, dependable, and caring professionals I have ever worked with. As care partners, we were in daily contact about many health issues and several emergencies. I honestly don't know what we would have done without their expertise as dementia overtook both parents. We worked with superior caregivers through Applause, including one who was with my father for two years. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking support with health care issues. To me, they are family.

Applause Home Care has provided aides for my dad for 2 years. Some have been part time, most have been 24/7. The owner, Jim, hand selects aides that are a good match for my dad. We have been very happy with all the aides that have been provided. Long-term aides have become like family to us. They are able to physically handle my dad in all situations, as his mobility is limited. They provide companionship when he needs it. The agency is very responsive when I have questions, always getting back to me quickly. I am very comforted knowing I can count on Jim to provide excellent caregivers for my dad. They have been kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable - all the qualities you want in a caregiver.

Applause is a very professional company, and a- people oriented company.Mr Prussak personally interviewes with the gold selecting the right caregiver to match the client.The agency provides me a schedule of the caregivers and their duties. The staff always arrives on time and is very pleasant and professional. The interaction with the care giver is excellent and they are very helpful in all their duties.The agency is always receptive to my requests and is there anytime I need them. This wonderful agency provides home health care providers to care for my elderly father who has advanced dementia. They properly screen and match a provider to the needs of my dad making the interactions better. The staff arrives on time. Last, the agency is always responsive to our requests and needs. Applause provides aides for my 90 year old mother who has trouble walking and is therefore a serious fall risk. I have found them to be extremely reliable and easy to work with. The caregivers are excellent. Sometimes our schedule changes and we may require more or less time/days of care per week. This is never a problem. The agency has a large pool of qualified aides and we have never had an issue with coverage even when we have needed someone to stay overnight. Everyone at the agency from the caregivers to the office staff really cares about their clients and wants to provide the most personalized and compassionate care possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Applause Home Care for anyone needing care for their loved ones.

Applause has been taking care of my 97YO mother for the past several years with excellent and loving care! The aides have been on time and always attentive to my Moms wishes and needs! As far as the agency, Jim P. the owner is always involved in the care of my Mom - He is always stopping by to see that my care demands for my mother are not only met but to say hi and befriend my mom! My sister and I brought in the team from Applause Home Care when our mom began falling in her home. Our mom is very particular, and if she did not feel properly cared for she would not hesitate to let us know! We began with overnight care, to ensure safe transitions in and out of bed and to the bathroom. About 1.5 years ago we needed to add a daytime aide and the owner and team placed the perfect person with our mom. Mom's caregiver is kind, gentle, respectful, full of smiles, and takes pride in her work and caring for mom. My sister and I both work, so we need to be confident that we can go do our jobs knowing that mom's care needs are met. Applause has never let us down, and I believe that is 100% because of the team approach led the owner. From the care providers, to nurses, to office team, the Applause staff is happy to talk with me at any time. And communication happens fast if someone is running late (a rare occurrence!). This is not an easy time of life for any family, so I appreciate the attention given to mine when it's needed.
