My poor husband spent the last 16 hours of his life in this horrible place. He was transported there from the hospital, arrived at 4:00 PM and passed away the next day at 8:00 AM. He was given a bed and some morphine-he was never conscious, so no food or water. The charge for his "stay" was $1600-basically for 3 days. One day charge to "hold the bed" while he was still in the hospital and two days for his so-called care. The third day charge began at midnight on the night he was admitted, even though he was pronounced dead a few hours later. None of this was explained to me when I signed the paperwork to admit him-but I was asked upfront for a $3850 payment to cover a week's room and board. The deal is if the patient doesn't make the whole week, you get a refund. Not technically true. This so-called non-profit is a money grabbing, unscrupulous entity that employs bait & switch tactics and should be investigated, if not, shut down. I cannot speak to the quality of the actual care as I did not experience any of it. Beware of what you sign up for.

My mother is in Fr Hudson House. I'm satisfied with it. The staff is very nice and very attentive. The food is like a home-cooked meal, which they cook on the premises, and it's good. It's more of a hospice place, and it's clean.

I have had two different experiences with family members at Father Hudson House. It is never an easy choice to make when having a loved one terminally ill, but I will say it ended up being two of the most loving and kind choices for us. Both family members were treated kindly and compassionately and so were we as their family. The most special people work here everyday, and I can not imagine it is easy. But they are professional and made us all feel comfortable. I know my relatives were treated with the utmost respect and their journeys were made easier because of the care they received. our family cannot thank them enough.

Shame on Elizabeth Hospice for the horrible treatment we received. Our experience was nothing but lies, incompetence, substandard medical care and unacceptable attitude. My mother unnecessarily suffered for almost three weeks because of lack of treatment. It took the RN from the new hospice a brief exam (listening to ab section) and asking a few questions before she had a diagnosis and treatment plan that worked within 1 day giving great relief to my mother. My mother also suffer great pain caused by untrained aids sent by Elizabeth Hospice to transfer my mother into a hospital bed. They almost pulled her arms out of their sockets before I stopped them. We tried to work through the issues, but when one only received lies and lack of concern the situation becomes unacceptable. I could go on and on but there isn't enough space! WE WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS DISPICABLE ORGANIZATION.

My mother was at the Father Hudson House in Hospice Care for 3 weeks. It was a very touch decision to make. I can honestly say the staff was incredible there. My mother was very comfortable there and at peace in the last days of her life. I am forever grateful for the care she received there.
