The agency has been good with trying to keep the care consistent and willing to shuffle things around if it is not a good personality match. The agency is reliable, consistent, and easy to get in touch with. They help with schedule changes as well.

Marisol , our aid from Brightstar has been with us for several months. We actually don’t know how we did without her. She’s caring and gentle and very knowledgeable. My father has had a few experiences with Home Healthcare Aids and Crystal is fantastic. He has not always been that enthusiastic about others in the past. The history dates back many years. (as he had a not such a good agency for his late wife.) Additiionally, my wife and I check out the service being provided and we have found Brightstar to be top shelf. How do we know? It so happens that my wife is a home healthcare Aid (a CHHA) in another part of the state and she knows the difference! THANK YOU Crystal and Alana for all that you do. Could not be happier!!

I think one of the most critical factors for choosing Brightstar was the amenable nature of the directors to provide coverage when we needed it most. The coverage we receive from Andrea is extremely professional - she is not only highly skilled, she is also personable and caring to my husband. She takes here job seriously, always watching over her patient with care and concern since he is a fall risk. She arrives on time, reinforcing reliability. And when she works with my husband she does so with gentle kindness and genuine sensitivity. We interact regularly to discuss the best possible approaches to help my husband with a safe and comfortable environment. The agency has been very responsive to my requests and very flexible to meet our time requirements. When I asked for a change in dates, they immediately accommodated us. Andrea will always look over the area where my husband is walking so as to provide guidance. She has a high standard for movement safety, which is very important for the wellbeing of my husband who has balance issues. She never complains, rather she initiates, anticipates and follows up with corrective recommendations. Andrea is the type of caregiver that gives Brightstar a high rating from my husband and me.

Last minute I reached out to Brightstar and they responded immediately so he could be in his house. There was one aide in particular that went above and beyond. My dad passed away that morning before that person left. We didn't have them for very long. I wish there was a little more time.

It was excellent, across the board. It mostly helped my dad, because I live 45-minutes away. If someone was in the same situation as me, I would tell them to call BrightStar. We had gotten a recommendation from the social worker. I called BrightStar at 10:30pm, and the process was seamless. We got care the next day.

Our Dad is in need of assistance for 5 hours at home in the morning. Called BrightStar and within a day or 2 the staff was able to find a caregiver for our Dad during COVID. His caregiver is wonderful. She takes such good care of him with his needs, concerns, extremely pleasant to work with and can’t say enough! The staff at BrightStar are right there helping you find your needs for your loved one at any given time. I would definitely recommend BrightStar!

BrightStar provides part time care for my invalid mother. The staff provide quick responses to questions and concerns; they always meet our needs. My mother is provided with a caring, competent, considerate, and trustworthy caregiver who is delightful to be around. She arrives on time and if she is unable to come BrightStar staff inform us in a timely manner and provide a suitable substitutes. It give us great comfort knowing that our mother is in excellent hands with her BrightStar Caregiver and I am grateful for the service that we get from them. I think that BrightStar provides excellent value for the cost and I have recommended BrightStar to friends and will continue to highly recommend BrightStar to others who need a caregiver.

It depended on the caregivers at the time. The caregiver was there when he passed away, but she didn't noticed that he passed away, until she tried to wake him up for lunch. So I am not blaming her, and I don't know if there was anything more she could've done, but I am just surprised that she didn't notice. I would have thought that someone sitting with them, would have noticed that he stopped breathing. I thought it was important that he had a caregiver there for him while he was in rehab. I was really happy with the communication from the coordinator. She had very good communication with me.

The first caregiver Juan arrived on time. It was arranged by the staff for him to be there until the permanent caregiver arrived. Juan immediately went to work making sure the house was set up and ready for my fathers return from the hospital. Even minor things like wiping down the bedroom, bathroom and rewashing the silverware. My wife was very impressed with his work ethic. When my father arrived Juan took over and got him changed and settled into bed. He stayed until the permanent live in caregiver arrived. Juan showed Eli around and got him up to speed on my fathers condition. The next morning Eli quickly established he knew how to take care of my father. Eli got my father up and unto the commode, emptied the catheter, bathed and dressed my father and brought him out to the living room and into his recliner. Not an easy task, because my father is 6-4 and 200 lbs. Eli was up to the challenge. It’s been 5 days and we couldn’t be happier with Eli’s performance. We are very pleased with the care we’ve had to date and also the support of the staff. We had a live in caregiver for my mother two years ago. One of the major issues with my parents was being able to understand them when the spoke. Both Juan and Eli are very easy to understand, which put my father, as well as us, at ease. I needed help after a hospital surgery. The caregiver from Bright Star was excellent. He met me at the hospital then drove me home and stayed until I felt secure being at home alone. I gave the company very little advance notice and they still were able to provide an excellent caregiver. I was very happy the the entire experience and would have no hesitation to use the company again.

From the owner Mark, to all the staff in the office and the caregivers - they are loving caring, helpful and friendly staff. I have been in other agencies near my area in Sparta NJ and by far this has been the best agency I have dealt with After searching for two years to help me care for my loving mother who suffers from Alzeihmers for 7 years now. It has been a blessing in my life to have found them and that they worked earnestly to accommodate my needs with the right caregiver to provide care for my mom. And they were able to provide a staff speaking the same language as my mom who reverted back to her native language. I Thank Mark, Jennifer, Amanda and the rest of the friendly staff to help me make the care of my mom at home possible. They could get proper scheduling and get the people here. Last night, we waited an hour because somebody didn't come when we were expecting them. They should shape up the things we tell them are wrong, and we need to have the schedule at least one or two days in advance. If there is a problem, they need to tell my wife.

The caregiver we have is very good with my mom in terms of care. They are punctual and get along well with my mom. I do not have to spend time worrying about my mom while I am at work. I know the care is being provided.

Until Bright Star, our mom's care was a fading comet. Mark and his team were exceptionally welcoming, real, and accommodating. We invited them to meet mom, and unlike other agencies, it happened on schedule, with accommodations, without judgement, and in just one exchange of emails. The wonderfully energetic and engaging caregiver who hauls my mom out for marathon coffee sessions has never failed the bring the laughter and light back to mom's face. We are so grateful to Bright Star, and find it is unique in its mission to fill every family's needs without a list of "no-nos" and "can't-do-thats". The only reason I found my way to this Review site is that I called the office to find out how to get the caregiver a holiday gift. Gifts are not encouraged, so at my insistence, the office sent me this link. Talk about fairness and priorities. Love this company!

The caregiver from BrightStar Care is very nice, accommodating, down to earth, and they make me feel like they're a family member. There are things that I can't do. Like when I go to the bathroom, I can't reach everywhere. I need help getting up a couple of times. It's a lot of help and care.

BrightStar Care did not work out for us at all, especially their live-in care. We did not have a good experience. The live-in caregivers just sat next to my loved one and practically spoon-fed them. They became dependent on that and went downhill. The caregivers did not do well with keeping the home clean, and my loved one was living in a mess.

BrightStar Care helped my loved one to feel comfortable and reliable. BrightStar Care was a helpful intrusion on my loved one's life. They would park their cars and come in and out.

The staff of BrightStar Care is very friendly and the people they pair you up with are very nice. The services help me meet new people. The caregiver provides me with a lot of options to get thorough my daily routine.

BrightStar Care is really constant with their services. BrightStar Care is able to help get me time off, and I can do things while they are with my parents.
