I am a current client of this provider

Three years ago we hired a Visiting Angel caregiver from the Worcester office to stay 24/7 with our parents in their own home. We still have them today as they continue providing wonderful personal care, meals, comfort and companionship to our remaining parent. The Visiting Angels caregivers are well trained and understand the fragile mental and physical limitations of an elderly person. They cater to the specific needs of our parent and we have peace of mind knowing that in our absence they will receive excellent care. Greg, Kelly and the office staff are always accessible and responsive to any and all questions or needs that may arise. I would recommend Visiting Angels of Worcester to others. In fact, I already have!

I am a past client of this provider

Hired Visiting Angels in July 2022 to provide 24/7 care for my ailing father and mother. Like any relationship, it started out really great - but things quickly changed: their caregivers got complacent, lazy, careless, and sometimes downright nasty. The first caretaker (M) was great - she cooked, cleaned, did laundry, walked my parents, and was fairly compassionate. The only problem was that she didn’t talk or communicate with us. We were always left in a lurch as to how our parents were doing. She was replaced after two months. Their next caretaker, Linda, was absolutely fabulous. My parents loved her, and she seemingly loved them back. She treated them so great. Still don’t know why she left, but we were sad when she did. Their third caretaker - P - stayed with my parents 24/7 from October through March and was absolutely dreadful. She never spent any time with my parents. She rarely walked my dad, even though she was supposed to. In fact, instead of walking dad to the bathroom to urinate, she trained him to do it in a convenient plastic receptacle. Terrible habit that will be hard for us to break him out of. She didn’t cook. When we offered to teach her how to make pasta, prepare chicken, or heat up frozen meals, she refused. She bought fast food for my parents every day with their car and their credit card. She’d take out their car several times a week, sometimes leaving them alone for up to three hours. On their dime, at $25 per hour. Laundry? Never. Light housekeeping? Nope. Whenever I visited, their trash cans were always full and dirty incontinent products were often left in the bathroom trash. Dad frequently wore the same clothes for days on end and it was common for “P” to not bathe mom for weeks at a time. She argued with dad daily and showed less and less respect for him as the months wore on. Shortly before we finally transferred our parents to a local assisted living center, we discovered that ”P” had been taking online classes! This explains why she would get really mad at my dad for wanting to stay up past 7pm. That’s right, she was taking online classes while she was being paid to keep an eye on my parents. Amazing. Sadly, our mom passed away a week ago. Nobody from Visiting Angels has called to offer their condolences. They took $125,000 of my parents’ money and didn’t even send us a card. Perhaps that is all you need to know before you decide to hire them.

the best living assistant program. the staff in the office are wonderful and always there when I have questions about my parents' care. Every Caregiver that has come into the home has had great personality and is very caring and treats my parents like they should be with the utmost respect So happy I chose them for my parent's care.

My husband is using Visiting Angels. Care is good, but communication could be better. We only have two hours in the evening. It's less than three hours, so we get charged more. It took us a long time to find the right people. The caregiver is excellent, very upbeat, and fits well chemistry wise. She always finds things to do if there's nothing to do. The cost is extremely high for what you get, but we're comfortable right now.
