The regular caregivers we have are superior. We couldn't do it without them! The owners are very hands-on and have a personal touch.

They should have provided more consistency with caregivers and have backup plans for when they cancelled. They could improve their communication and organization, they don't communicate who's coming or when, and they're not consistent when getting coverage for people that cancel.

They have helped the most by giving me time to take care of other things. Day care is rated a 9, but night care is a 7. I would like to have them fill the slots when they send the schedule, or send out an updated schedule as they fill the slots. They only did that one week. Especially for something long-term and knowing who is new.

BrightStar was not right for our family. They could not provide consistent caregivers for our mom. They sent different people every day or so casing confusing for my mom and placing a burden on our family. Further, they bill clients for hours not worked. Several caregivers arrived late.

I had a knee replacement, so it was hard for me to make my bed. I would ask them to do that. They understand that consistency in care providers is very valuable to us. They could improve the communication between the management and me as his POA. They are supposed to call and tell me if I am going to get a different caregiver than the usual one, and they don't.

The phone problem is so bad. There are people sitting on the phone. They don't want to do anything, and they get an attitude when I ask them to do anything. They need to tell me that the people are supposed to sign in on your phone when they come in. They tell the caregivers they don't have to do that. It causes a conflict between me and the caregiver.

Some of the caregivers don't have common sense and they make me want to pull my hair out. I couldn't do anything if they didn't come at all though. They need to communicate better and hold people accountable for what they do and don't do.

My loved one had to keep telling the caregivers what to do, and the caregivers wouldn't do a thorough job. The caregivers were frequently late, were not too reliable, were not proactive in their work, and the agency kept changing who the caregiver was. The caregivers didn't take any initiative to do things, and I think they needed more training.

They could have communicated. There's no communication with the staff inside the company. One does not know what the other is doing.
