We had the absolute pleasure of working with Home and Hearth for 7 months. My mom was diagnosed with mild Alzheimer’s disease and it was no longer advisable for her to drive. We met with Teresa who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient with all of our questions. She explained all of the services and care that H&H has to offer so we started with just driving assistance to take my mom to work out at Curves 3 times a week. Teresa set us up with an AMAZING caregiver Kortney!. She was MUCH more than a driver, she instantly bonded with my mom because of her warm, caring and comfortable personality. Then....the pandemic hit and the gyms closed. Once it was safe, Kortney came over just to be with my mom. She did puzzles, exercises, walks and just talked and made my mom feel good during a difficult time. She always volunteered to much more like housework, bathing, etc. but those services were not yet needed. My mom who is moving to VA to live with my sister will miss Kortney very much. The good news is that she is available to make a difference in someone else's life. We cannot thank Teresa and Kortney enough for making a difficult decision so incredibly easy and the right decision!!!!

We were using Home & Hearth Caregivers' services before. They provide help with running errands, light cleaning, and preparing food. The caregivers were nice. It was a little difficult sometimes to get somebody to come out, but it wasn't really a hardship, it was just sort of inconvenient.

Mechelle was my mother-in-law's caregiver for three years. She became like one of the family. Mom did not speak English so Mechelle would learn some words and phrases in Italian to better communicate with her . Sometimes Mom would be hard to deal with , but Mechelle would try to calm her down by talking about happy things, like her up-coming 100th birthday. In her final days, Mom would hug and kiss Mechelle who kept her clean and comfortable right up to the very end.

Mary Was The BEST!

I didn't have the patience with other agencies I'd contacted, that sent so many different ladies, we couldn't keep up. Home & Hearth gave me the best caregiver. That's all I can say. My mom couldn't live without her, till her dying day. I'll never forget what Mary did for her :') I would never have recommended them to three of my friends, who are now using them for their parents, if they had not provided the best care (in my book). Don't bother wasting your time with the other agencies that send you anyone to just make their money off you. Our parents deserve only the BEST care. Save the hassles. I learned the hard way, when I didn't choose them first for my mother's care. 3 Agencies later, I ended up calling home & hearth desperate for good care. I'm so happy I did.

The name of the agency we hired is Home & Hearth. I have a person that comes in the mornings four days a week. They are helping my wife transfer if she needs to use the bathroom, to walk a little bit, and do some exercises for her therapy. They also make lunch and do dishes. They get along very well with my wife, so she seems to not have difficulty with it. Scheduling is very easy, and it is a direct payment. I get an invoice, and then it is just automatically paid. They keep my wife engaged in conversation and keep her company while I’m away, and they do well with that. Home & Hearth is very efficient in supplying someone, and the lady that comes is well trained in proper transfer techniques. They have a therapist come and work with my wife while the aide worker was there, and she knew how to properly do the exercises and get her to move around.

She is doing much better with Home and Hearth, and we were very satisfied. Everything worked out, they were very good, and my mom’s condition got better. They cook for her, they clean, and they got up with her at night to use the restroom.
