It depends on the gender of the caregivers a bit. Men do not wash a woman as well as a woman would. Little things like that. Things are acceptable, but some people do things better or with more common sense than others. We have only had two caregivers so far. We would prefer good quality caregivers. Sometimes they have difficulty. Sometimes you have to repeat things, but Home Helpers is a step above other agencies. Their people do not mind doing what needs to be done!

I hired a caregiver from Home Helpers Home Care for my mother two months ago. They were very professional and caring, and I was very pleased. She went from daily care to a full 24/7 care, but each of the caregivers was very kind, very willing to help around the house and did a few extra things. Billing was very easy to track and follow. I really liked that I could take a look each day at what the caregivers had put into the log, and it was very comforting. There were some last minute changes that I had to make and they were very accommodating, so it went very well.

We hired a home helper staff member,Harriet, who came in once a week to bathe and shampoo my mom’s hair. My mom was 93 and very frail. Harriet was very gentle and compassionate with my mother. She was always very prompt. Xshe would shower my mom,shampoo her hair, help her get dressed and put lotion on her legs. My mother thought she was very nice and treated her very well. Once Harriet stayed with my mom for dinner and the evening during my nephews wedding reception.we brought my mom to the church and after Harriet met us at the house and fed my mom and allowed us to go on to the reception.they had a very nice Relationship and would alwa.ys. Me change hugs when Harriet left The agency brought us exactly the type of women we needed for our mom, they were also very responsive when we called about coverage for the wedding . My mother passed away in December about 10 months after Harriet began coming. We were very glad we found her to help with my mom’s care.

My mother broke her ankle and was not mobile enough to get her food, medication, get out of bed, etc.., without assistance.. We had a family member living with her during the week, but needed 24 hour support for the weekends. We requested Home Helpers to assigned a live in care giver (preferably the same person) to assist my mother. Home Helpers were able to meet our request, and the care giver assigned to my mother was professional, easy to interact with, and put my mother at ease. I have nothing but good things to say about the care she was given.

I have mostly had the same girl come, and I just love her. She is just so sweet, nice, pretty, and is a wonderful driver. I love to shop, and here I am turning 94 tomorrow. My mind is full of pep, but my body is not full of energy. I can't drive anymore, so they are here to drive me to go shopping or get my hair done.

The caregiver's personality is really what has helped the most. My mom trusts and looks forward to seeing her. She comes once a week to take care of her. My mom feels very cared for. Her caregiver is spectacular, and the whole staff have been very helpful.

She is just the kindest and sweetest. She is a gentle and kind person and is good at taking care of my husband. I would like to get better follow up from the office. I ask for certain individuals, and they are in a meeting, and I want them to call back shortly. They do not have answers a lot of the time.

It helps me by taking care of my mom, but I don't have a lot of history with them yet to give suggestions for improvement. I only use them twice a week for short periods, and everyone is meeting my needs for now. I can't give everyone a great score just because they show up.

We were able to keep two of our caregivers for that entire time. One caregiver was with them for 5 years, and that continuity is invaluable. There is no comparison. They have taken care of them for over four and a half years. He only had one person.

They stay in touch with me. The caregiver is very concerned about my mom and will personally contact me if something is amiss or if something is not right. I like the employees that we have. I am in the process of hiring additional help, and I know that one of them can't do different hours. I am not sure who we are going to get, and that's why I am not putting an excellent.

They did whatever we would want them to do. They tried to connect with my loved one. That can be hard with a stranger, but they tried to get to know him. The caregivers were always very kind and helpful. They always came through for us. There was times where they would need a day or other things, and they always found a substitute. We never went without a caregiver.

They are more of a companion. They could really sit and talk and communicate with my loved one more. There is some physical therapy that could be done. They try to get my loved one engaged in other hobbies. It doesn't seem like their employees have a lot of experience. There are some communication problems. One of their employees couldn't speak English very well and it was difficult to understand anything. They should match the patient with someone who has experience with those needs. When I make the appointment, I tell them I want someone with experience. They either forget or don't listen to me.

It's difficult because the caregiver is a little small to do the things needed. They send caregivers that they have and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
