It was some what helpful. They communicated with us and let us know what is going on. We aren't close so I was relying on them to be the eyes and ears, but we didn't hear anything until there was a crisis. I would like to see communication improved because they were really poor on communicating. I had hired them and asked for simple things like a status report on my loved one, and we never got it. I would not recommend them, and I am surprised they are accredited.

Their caretakers are wonderful. I have gone through three and I have the fourth one now. One I had was a very kind woman, the lady I have now is also kind and pleasant to be around. If I had the money I would keep it, but I cannot afford them. The meals were okay.

The ones that were good made life easier because I didn't have to be there twenty four hours a day. They could have been more attentive. I've had good and bad experiences. There have been excellent and poor caregivers. The day my father had the stroke that killed him, I wasn't contacted until late in the afternoon and there was a five hour gap in the time he showed signs of it. I was very interested in knowing what they were doing for five hours. I would advise anyone to be there at least initially and make sure you are getting your money's worth.

In the beginning, we had bad experiences, but we had to get our loved one ready to receive care. They are flexible with the schedule week to week. I've noticed the caregivers they send are very young and not very experienced. My loved one needs someone to watch over them, and we would like someone that is closer to their age.

Norwood Seniors Network has been fine for us. I think it is important for a family member to be present to meet the caregivers when they come. The most important aspect of my loved one's services is the supervision they receive for their daily needs and getting them active. If my loved one's caregivers weren't there for them, they would lay in bed all day with some needs getting looked over by others that are around my loved one.
