This was the worse experience that we ever have. Nothing worked, Ambulance was late, caregiver came late on the first day, medicines were not delivered. When we called them, it took for ever for them to answer. We recommend to have your love one at home if is possible but NOT WITH VITAS. Not responsible people. The only thing that worked were the caregivers, very nice ladies.

My mom was in group 1165 and everyone I had one on one contact with was amazing, specially her nurse Marlene, Yuni who bathed her daily, both drs and chaplin Rafael who were always there and went above and beyond their call of duty. I'll be eternally grateful.

When I was informed by the doctors that my father was going into hospice, it was a devastating event. Making a decision on which provider to choose, was a huge challenge. Selecting VITAS among several options at the time, was not only the best decision, buy a GREAT decision. VITAS service and care ALWAYS went FAR BEYOND the most optimistic EXPECTATIONS our family could have had. VITAS cared for my father for almost two years in the most professional, caring, and loving way. All of the, doctors, nurses, management, support staff, maintenance crew, etc. always went beyond the call of duty and the performance of a great business enterprise. All interactions, from responses to all of our concerns to a proactive approach at all times, were always flawless. I cannot think about a single instance in which any member of the VITAS team did not go above and beyond anything we, as the family of the patient, could have expected.

We contacted Vitas to honor our Mom's wishes to remain in her home until her last days. As Mom's health began to decline and her needs increased, Vitas provided her with caring and compassionate doctors and caregivers that were always professional and took the time to explain their findings and what to expect as they treated our Mom and she remained where she wanted, in her own home. Their continuous support made the process of our Mom's eventual passing so much easier, and our family will always be grateful for Vitas Team #135 in Miami, Florida.

Vitas was excellent. My father did get a private room there -- which they really didn’t have at that point but were kind enough in his condition to let us have that room -- and it was one of the only single rooms for people that had infectious bacteria. It was large, had a sofa, private bath, and television that worked. Everybody was really caring and lovely. The staff, nurses, and doctors were excellent.

I like many things about VITAS Healthcare. I like the responsiveness and the quality of the personnel. I also love the fact that they deliver the service that they promised. Compassion is showed through the whole process. Everything about it is perfect.
