About Home Helpers in Brooksville, Florida
Exceptional in-home care doesn’t just happen – that’s why Home Helpers invests in providing dependable, compassionate care by using the most qualified and compatible caregivers.
Most people want to be where they are comfortable, whether that means seniors, or those recovering from illness who want to be back in their own home. Our caregivers make sure they can do that, being there to provide the extra care that's needed.
All our caregivers are level 2 background screened, bonded and insured. Each has ongoing supervision and training to make sure they give the very best service to our clients. They are fully employed – their taxes are paid by the company, there are no contractors and we are NOT a registry.
With each new client, we sit down with them to find out as much as we can about them – their likes and dislikes, their requirements and their personality – then we try to match them with the most suitable caregiver so that family members can be reassured that their loved one is happy. We can meet with them at their home (even if they are in assisted living and just want some additional help there), or in hospital or rehab facilities if families want to plan a loved one’s return home in advance of them being discharged.
Our caregivers are trained in, and are experienced in the care of clients with a variety of conditions including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, Parkinson’s disease, cancer, stroke, etc.
We can be there from just an hour or two per week, right up to 24/7 care – there are no minimum hours. You only pay us for the hours we are there.
If the client is a veteran, or the surviving spouse of a veteran we may also be able to assist them in obtaining a benefit that could cover their care costs.
We also combine our care with technology – for our caregivers, there is an automated telephony service to ensure they check in and out on time. This means we know very quickly if there is a problem or delay and can make arrangements to send a back-up caregiver if necessary.
We offer 24/7 monitoring pendants so that in the event that your loved one needs help when no-one else is with them, they can push a button and help will be on the way.
We also offer automated medication management systems which will remind the client when to take medication and will send an alert to the central care center if the medication is not taken – the care center will do a welfare check to make sure the client is ok and remind them again to take their meds.
Our services include:
- Light housekeeping
- Laundry
- Personal care (bathing/dressing/feeding, transferring, etc)
- Transportation to events or appointments
- Hospital/hospice sitter
- Meal preparation – including special diets
- Shopping
- Companionship (help with crafts or hobbies, games, conversation, etc)
- Medication reminders
- 24/7 monitoring service
- Partnership with Veterans Care Coordinationv
- Much more!
We believe that people should be able to keep their independence for as long as possible, allowing them to spend their time doing what they enjoy – let us take care of the rest.
