My mom has dementia, so she needs someone else, other than me, to help her do things. My mom has enjoyed all the caregivers, and they are all flexible.

My father is having people 24/7, but he only needs help for 5 min out of each hour. The aides are very caring and nice with my father. It is hard to communicate with them.

They helped her the most by providing companionship, physical aide, and support. I would recommend them because of the one particular aide we ended up using who was very special.

Overall, it has been good and it gets him up and about. I don't think it is an agency issue, I think it is just personalities.

My dad's in rehab, but when he was there, he was great at organizing the apartment. He provided conversation and kept him company. They're easy to use, thorough, and understanding. It's easy to get service at the last minute.

We only use them once or twice a week, the aids do their job. I can't give them as set schedule, so it's hard getting the same person. A couple of times the aids were late. They could be more punctual.

As of now the aide we currently have has been wonderful. The caregivers are helping Patricia get better both mental and physical abilities. We are able to sleep at night. We don't have to worry about that anymore. Improvements are needed by training their new hires better. More specifically, the aides that we have that are new were terrible. They didn't know the equipment and lied about their knowledge.

We have several home care aides assigned to us and the difficulty was that people were not able to continue and a more stable continuing service would have been better. I liked that they were pretty efficient in finding a home care aide initially.

I think the most important thing is I feel safer when she gives me a bath and seems to understand me, and she is good at knowing how to interact with me. I like the quality of the person, Camile, who is taking care of me. She is very caring and very willing to carry out what I need.

They told us that the CNAs would be awake if they were on the night shift and there were many times that they were not. They need to make sure that what they tell us can and will be done. They did not do what they told us they would do.

It unburdened my husband and I from caring for my mom, my only suggestion is that I know a lot of training happens on the job but the caregivers need some training on basics. I like the case management, they are exceptional.

It's very positive because given my mother's condition, the ability to have an in-home full-time provider is pretty much invaluable. There's always room for improvement and no one is perfect. They could have a higher level of communication and more involvement of the actual selection of candidates for caregivers.

It has been positive. It's been a few weeks since we've had the service and we are on the third person, so the inconsistency is a little hard, but I know it's hard to find a good caregiver. They have been good, but they need to communicate the changes a little more. They have been very supportive. The people who have come have been good.

We had several problems with Bright Star. There was a constant fluctuation in the CNA's that were sent to take care of my father. For example, in one week 's time, there were 8 different CNA's sent out to the house - all extremely confusing for a person with Alzheimer's. They never new the routine, what medications to give my father, etc. There were several items taken from my parent's home and when it was reported to the agency, it was blamed on my mother as she was "forgetful and must have misplaced the items"...
