My father said the care is good but not excellent. If there is an issue, it is more with the personalities. My sister deals more directly with them than I do, but I communicate with my dad frequently. She mentioned that they do not communicate well with her about things. They could improve that.

I do get some impact in my life, but I spend a lot of time trying to find a good caregiver. One of the caregivers is doing a really good job, and my dad has really connected with her. We had another caregiver who was good, but she left. We have had a lot of turnover, especially on the weekends. There was one who didn't follow safety orders, but the office did replace her when I brought that to their attention.

I couldn't leave him alone, and they were there 24/7 when they could be to watch him and help him. I didn't have to move in to help him. I asked for men to take care of my son, and we've never had a man. I asked for older women, and we've never had an older woman. I never knew who was coming until they came. They weren't able to cover easily, and sometimes they couldn't cover at all. The people who came were good, but it wasn't very easy to find them. They wouldn't call me when they said they would. I'd leave messages and they wouldn't relay them. The communication wasn't very good.

Somebody from 24-7 BrightStar Healthcare came to our house 2-3 hours every few days a week for my husband. However, they did not have adequate number of caregivers in our area. The caregiver came but not on the days that we wanted. The caregiver was nice, we liked her. It would be better if they had more caregivers in our area.
