I just have a really hard time doing things because I can't raise my arms up. They help me do things. They put up a rail around the bed in case I fall. I have osteo-perosis so I can't fall. I also have epilepsy. The grab bar makes me feel safe and secure in case I have a seizure. As I was at the center, I was telling other people about it and giving them the phone number. I tell a lot of people about them.

We couldn't do it without them. They could make our lives easier by the consistency with the caregiver if at all, if possible, meaning the same person as opposed to rotating to others. What I like to see improved is a better understanding of the type of candidate that is coming to the home, meaning what their skills levels are, and what their vaccinations are.

They know exactly what I need because they have been working with me for a while and know my routine. It is a rather complicated routine and not every caregiver that I have had cares to do it. Sometimes caregivers just want to offer companion care, but I don't need that because I have a lovely wife. I need more help going to the bathroom, getting meals, helping stand up. The two that we have regularly are wonderful, but others don't want to do all the things that I need. I would like them to have better coverage when one of their caregivers has to call out. A lot of times when my caregiver calls off they are not able to find coverage for me.

When the caregivers are here, they have a good impact on my mom's live. When they are not here, or when the caregivers are not good, it causes confusion and panic for my mom. She has PTSD from a past event and having so many different caregivers panics her. This morning, I noticed that she kept backing up and looking at the caregiver and kept yelling, who are you?! I wouldn't recommend Right at Home. My mom gets way too many caregivers, and several times they have not shown up to their shifts. Once we were told a caregiver was waiting for an hour, but we never saw them, and the company told us that we had cancelled the shift, which we did not.
