The main thing that is helpful is the companionship she provides for him. She gets him up in the morning and makes breakfast. She does some light housekeeping and helps with showers.

They worked with us with our scheduling issues and the caregiver we have is outstanding and it has worked out well. My mother in law adores the gal that is caring for her. It has made our life easier. We don't have to be there 24/7 because we can depend on the caregiver to help her dress and get around. I would use them again because some of them were very good, but some of them were horrendous. It was a 50/50 crap shoot. I could barely get out of bed and needed them to help me with the shower and going to the bathroom, so that was real helpful. The first week was invaluable, even with the bad ones.
