I'm using Family inHome Caregiving of Monterey for my mother just to provide more coverage. Service is very good. They're billing is different in that they email me an invoice and then I send money through my mom's bank account to them. They've got an online process, so I always get their invoice first and it's timely. It's the first of the month, so I know exactly when to expect it, so that's easier for me. The caregivers are all very good. They seem very professional. They're usually good conversationalists, which is good for my mom. They make sure that she eats, that she takes her pills, drinks water and encourages her to do the exercise, and they'll do the exercises with her, so that makes it more fun for her.

It is essential. The caregivers have helped the most by just being there and participating in the client's care needs. I like that they're flexible and understanding.

They pick up my mail at the post office, that is important. They prepare meals. I like the individuals that come. They are very positive.

The reason that we wanted some help had occurred when she broke her arm. She needed help at that time and now we are somewhat more independent. They are very useful to us at this point. So far they have been very reliable whenever we have needed someone to help us. They always provide someone that is satisfactory and if they leave they will replace them with someone that is equivalent in quality.

They took a lot off me when I had to be taking care of somebody. They come right in. They always come through and if somebody isn't satisfactory, they change it to somebody else.

They look after her and are there to keep an eye on her. If she starts to get up, the caregiver is right there to help her. I like that we can count on the same caregiver, and they are not always changing. If they are sick and cannot make it, they do all they can to fill it. They also provide good caregivers.

They have people who have a really good skill set to take care of my loved one. They could do a better job training their people, not only with the skill set but also with how to deal with clients.

I would recommend Family inHome Caregiving because all of the employees that we dealt with were excellent. The service would have been better if they'd had more employees willing to come out this far.
