I visited the Royal Palm Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center because that's the closest one to my house that accepts Medicaid, and they were the ones that gave me the information. Everything seemed to be OK and they're remodeling, so that's very good. I know someone that's there already and he seems to like it very much. He's my sister's father-in-law. I didn't see too many activities, but they advertise that they have a few activities. I got a brochure, but I didn't get to see anything like that. I just saw the rooms and they seemed to be OK. Everything looked very clean and the people were very friendly and very helpful. The person I know there says that the food is good. He seems to like the food. They give him physical therapy and they take him for walks and he seems to be fine there. They have a living room and another area and they have a garden outside that's very nice. I don't know how much they're paying, but I think it's good because Medicaid is paying and his Social Security.

Royal Palm Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center was clean but understaffed. None of the beds had bed rails on them. I had a wound on the rear of my hip that they mistreated. They wouldn't put a Foley catheter on me so I was peeing in the bed, tried to use a urinal, and it just made everything worse. It would sometimes take up to 2 or 3 hours to get a response from the call. It was not a pleasant experience. The food was poorly prepared. They had waffles that were just floppy, like Eggos, and it's just not good stuff.

My experience with a loved one here was extremely positive. The staff here makes you feel very welcomed and like family. The food was very good too! My understanding is they are under new ownership now, they are renovating the building and the new administrator is doing a great job. I would definitely recommend this nursing home!

My mom was recently at Royal Palm Beach Health and Rehabilitation Center and the care and attention she received was 5 Star. The nursing staff is very compassionate and caring. You can see they love what they do by their interaction with my mom. In addition, the physical and occupational therapists are patient, supportive and very positive. I live in New York and when I had to head back home, I left with peace of mind knowing my mom was in good hands with the staff there.

I do not have any complaints in regards to the care both my grandparents received. They were fed, dressed, and my grandmother "changed" twice a day. They received their medication as prescribed. Staff was generally courteous and friendly. Did they go above and beyond? No. My grandfather stated he was never taken to the shower room, the entire year he was a resident. My complaint stems from the lack of communication the administration has provided most recently. When requesting help to transition my grandparents home, due to the cost, it seems as if they drug their feet. The social worker doesn't return calls after numerous attempts to get her assistance with the transition. She stated via email that she typically lets the family handle the process. (WHAT?!) While voicing my opinion (based on facts) solely on the lack of communication on behalf of this ONE particular employee, I was told that I was attacking her and it would not be tolerated. I was confronted in the middle of the lobby by the administrator very loudly as she stated that they have done nothing but take great care of my grandparents. Again, my complaints were NOT about the care. Was it great? No, but their basic needs were taken care of. If you want to make numerous phone calls, send numerous emails, to the social worker with no response - this is your place! If the social worker communicated as well as the woman who collects the payments, I would have nothing to say. I wouldn't send my grandparents back here. EVER.

If I could give zero stars I would!! 1. Facility refuses to provide their written policy or patient/resident rights 2. My mother has fallen more than once. We were told the last time she had fallen that there would be an "investigation" no follow up communicated. I had to ask them and ironically it was unfounded. 3. My mother had something explode in her face which resulted in a trip to the hospital and a burn under her eye and on her eye lid. Their response was "oh there was nothing in her eye and that was a scratch".. I have pictures 4. The facility was given my mother's discharge paperwork from the hospital, I requested that the original be given to her, they are still holding her paper work hostage. 5. My mother's dentures are missing. I asked what is the process when a patient/resident's property is missing.. NO RESPONSE or RESOLUTION 6. I was told that the facility does not respond to email... WHY? What's the purpose of having an email account if you are not going to respond? Oh, so there is nothing to dispute in writing. I have emailed this facility multiple times. I also asked for their communication policy in writing, it has yet to be produced. 7. Staff will enter the room and not identify themselves. On multiple occasions staff has entered the room and my mom asked their name and was ignored. This is while she's on the phone with one of her kids on speaker and we would have to ask them to stop ignoring her. 8. GOD forbid you ask questions regarding your love one's care. Every time a question was asked specifically about my mother's care, the administrator Cierra tried to turn it around and call me combative and say, "if do want her to be moved somewhere else". What I want is for them to do their job. Any and all questions should be welcomed, you are accountable and responsible for the help of my mother. Asking questions should not be an excuse to push/kick someone out of a facility. But if you ask to many questions that's what you face, its almost like a threat. 9. They ignore the call button -- it takes HOURS for someone to check on them. * If you're ok with turning a blind eye and leaving your loved one to sit for hours in urine/ defecation, this is the place for you.
