My dad ended up staying at The Rehabilitation Center at Jupiter Gardens temporarily. It's not the cleanest place in the world and some of the staff were extremely rude. He needed tissues and I went up to the staff member and the woman looked at me and wouldn't even respond. Then she said to the other woman, "I'm on break, I'm not talking to this woman." Dad developed a pinkeye infection when he was there. I called them up on Friday and they said he was just rubbing his eyes. I asked them to call the doctor and they didn't so he developed a full-blown pinkeye infection and it was so bad. I said call the weekend doctor and they said they did and the person hadn't responded. Sunday morning I asked them did the doctor respond, and they said there was no response from the doctor. They never called the doctor for any medicine until Tuesday morning and by that time he had such a bad eye infection. When he needed to go to the assisted living, they wouldn't take him because of the eye infection. I ended up having to pay a lot of money because I had to take him to another facility until his eyes cleared up. The whole thing cost me like $9,000. I was not happy with that. I saw them having activities while I was there, but I wouldn't say it's an upscale place by any means. They were renovating part of the building while we were there. When the renovations are done, it's going to be much better.

Only use for short-term. On the surface they are clean and friendly, but after a relative stayed for a longer period of time, the staff became indifferent, nasty, and neglectful. CNA's barely speak English, can't understand patients and patients can't understand them. Patients ignored for long periods. Go elsewhere.

Courtyard Gardens Rehab has been nothing short of a blessing from God! I am not sure we could have found a better place for our father to live comfortably in the entire state of Florida. We are forever grateful for the staff's compassionate care and attention to detail. Your staff genuinely cares about the patients. An example of this is David from physical therapy, he treats my father as though he was his father-with compassionate care and genuine support. Almost every member of the staff has the same great attitude and is always smiling, even after long days filled with many difficult challenges.

While the place seemed clean enough and small enough to offer better care, nothing could be further from the truth. Call bells are ignored for 1/2 hour or longer. Staff yells at and berates the patients. Clothing is "lost", as are glasses, etc. And they have the nerve to blame the patient, who is laying in bed, unable to walk. Even saw one CN taking a nap in the hallway!!

Dad is at Courtyard Garden and Rehab Center and I think he is probably going to stay there for now. They have been very helpful and caring for my dad who is suffering from dementia. They seemed to do a good job caring for the elderly who are in the facility. The place is very clean and they do a thorough cleanup of the rooms very routinely. The food is homemade and it is very good. I think they just need to improve on their communication between the family and the patient.
