This facility is remarkable. My 91 year old Mother was there for almost a month and they treated her like the queen she is. The staff was friendly and very attentive to her. They were even respectful and patient with me. Every time I visited my Mother (Everyday) they greeted me with a smile and warm welcome. They often came in her room to check on her. They assisted her with what ever she needed. They answered questions and when they didn't have the answer, they went and found the answer. They walked us through this journey hand in hand and I will always be grateful for this house of refuge. THANK YOU MANOR CARE FOR YOUR PROFESSIONALISM AND GENUINE CARE AND CONCERN. BLESSINGS

They are understaffed and the people they have do not communicate either with the patients or their families. That's part of a State mandate for care. My mom has described the staff as uncaring. Our interactions with Ginger have been awful. The woman needs to go into another industry. My mom caught Covid there. She was vaccinated thank goodness. But it had to have come from staff since she was in a private room with no access to other patients or their families. We live out of state so we did not visit. The staff should be heavily masked regardless of whether they are vaccinated.

If you care about your loved one or their dignity, do not send them to Manor Care. I did not choose this place, but was advised to send him here because of his need for dialysis. BIG MISTAKE. Placed in diapers when not necessary. Room door had to be closed, for no apparent reason. He felt like a prisoner. Food was beyond eatable. Body saws were noticed when he came in, but in four days nothing was done about them. PT was practically nil. When EMT placed him in the antique bed, part of the bed fell off. It was a wooden bed from the year of the flood. The most serious offense was when his vital signs were very low and nothing was done about them. At this point I wanted him out of there and the best way to it , was by placing him back in the hospital. Never thought I would say i am happy my husband is in the hospital.

My 99yo dad has been a long term resident here for years. The diligent and caring nursing staff on the 2nd floor, now under the supervision of Supervisor Domita, has in effect kept him alive for years. He is now on the first floor and the care under Supervisor Richard is likewise excellent and prolonging his life. The nursing staff is always helpful and willing to provide updates. Also Patient Care Coordinator Julia also goes the extra mile and is a gem. I highly recommend this facility.

If I could submit less than 1 star I would. I am absolutely appalled at the way this facility treated my father during his 6-day stay. The actual staff we came in to contact with were all very friendly and at first we felt pretty good about being there. My father began having issues keeping any food down as well as swallowing in general so he couldn’t take in fluids. My father progressively became severely dehydrated and the facility wasn’t doing anything to change this. I had to call because the facility was closed to outside visitors and hound the staff to contact the assigned physical in order to pass along the challenges my father was facing. I did work with Lloyd who was the Supervisor and did assist me in getting in contact with the physician. My father was finally re-admitted to the hospital via the Emergency Room. He had severe dehydration and his kidneys were shutting down. He’s now in the ICU and we will be reaching out to whoever’s in charge of running this Circus that is the Manor Care facility in Boynton Beach. The severe lack of attention by the 3rd string nursing staff is so disappointing and my father should have never reached this point. In calling as many times as I did the phone would simply rings for minutes as a time. During one call I hung up after 8 minutes of the phone ringing. Really? Is the staff out to lunch? I would call and get transferred only to be hung up on. It was so frustrating to deal with this facility when they are in charge of the care of our loved ones. Please heed the warning and really research the facility you place your loved ones with. If you have an option of somewhere besides this location I highly recommend it. Hard to believe anywhere else could be worse.

Dedicated staff who work together as a team to service you. PT staff is excellent. My improvement was fast and even surprised my doctor. If they would stop watering down their eggs...might be real good menus over all no complaints amazed at how efetivethey run the place with all the patients they can handle.

After being transferred to this facility from Select Specialty Hospital I took my husband out of there 4 hours later. I have never met a group of such uncaring nurses. It's dirty and worn down just like the staff. I toured the place and wasn't shown the inside of the rooms or bathrooms. Dirty and smelly. Please don't send your loved ones here. There are so many other options. My husbands roommate fell out of bed (there are no rails) and after my husband had pushed the call button (nothing) and yelling for help 2 EMTs (that happened to be bringing another victim) were the ones that came and put him back in bed. No nurses to be seen. The wife of the roommate said they steal there. She did his laundry at home yet clothes came up missing. Don't bring valuables for sure! They wanted $300 to "hold his bed" in case he went to the hospital and when he came back he'd get the same bed instead of a different bed. I have never heard of such ridiculousness. All in all the 4 hours my husband spent there were 4 hours too long.

I would like to start by saying the Administrator showed us around the facility and I was so impressed with the way the residents interacted with Mr. Leoce and how he knew their names. The facility was so clean and everyone was so friendly. Gracie was so nice in explaining things as well. I would be happy to have my mom or dad stay in this facility.

I want to start by saying during my tour with the Administrator, Greg he was very committed to his facility, all the residents were happy to see him and he knew all of them by name. He is respected by his staff and it is very noticeable. He takes pride in his work, Very impressive. The facility was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Gracie the Admission Coordinator could not have been any sweeter. I enjoyed talking with all of them. Everyone seemed happy in the facility and well taken care of, and it really shows. I would feel very much at ease leaving my loved one in this facility.

I went to Manorcare. The new director was very informative and took us on a tour. All of the residents that we saw were well taken care of. We just really liked it. What we needed was a private room, but they didn't have a room available. Also it was a little older.

My mom was there post hospitalization last month. I would never send anybody there after what we went through. The nursing staff are not trained properly. Never once did they listen to her lungs. She came out of the hospital with a new diagnosis of congestive heart failure and MI. So you would think the nurse would monitor her cardiac status. Nope! No teaching was done either. I complained every day to the supervisor. All the nurses do is hand out meds. When she was having respiratory and cardiac issues it took them a long time to answer the call bell. She had to go back to the hospital due to the poor care. I myself am a nurse for 30+ years so I have knowledge on what the care should have been. The nurses aides are terrific and work hard but the nursing management has a lot to learn. STAY AWAY From Manorcare!

Lazy CNA Staff, very few actually do their job. Leave patients sitting in dining room all day. Can't rely on information they give you. If you put someone there make sure you show up every day. If patient doesn't eat they don't care. If patient eats in bed check the bed for leftover food. Sorry I every put my parent there.

Horrible place, you can never get anyone to come and help you to the restroom, you can sit for hours waiting, they are mean & rude to patients, they act like you are bothering them when you need something and their wound care person is so rough. My mother has a terrible bed sore and they don't take the time to move you and when you get a doctor to order an airbed it doesn't work right. My mother can ring for hours at night and no one comes to help. Takes forever to get medicine (they even lied about her schedule of medicine and I had a print out showing what she was supposed to get), the food is horrible and they can never get your diet right. They claim to be 5 star, they are FAR from 5 star. This is the 2nd place I have had her in and they were appalled by what I told them the last facility did to her and they are doing the same thing!!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible health care. My grandmother was in this facility from suffering a stroke. Never saw a doctor the 10 days she was there. The nurses wouldn't respond to being called, a nurse named richard in Medbridge was rude hostile and unprofessional. I could not believe patients waiting hours to go to the bathroom or be changed. Lunch and dinner sitting the hallways for an hour not being served. The worst place!!!!

I was a patient there for a NUMBER of weeks. Overall, I was quite pleased......particularly once I was able to be independent as far as getting myself into my wheelchair and going to the bathroom. Prior to that, it wasn't pretty. I'd press the light and wait and wait...VERY frustrating when you REALLY NEED to use the restroom! Some of the aides are caring and efficient, but I believe that many are overworked and under paid, and, it SHOWS. It's a difficult job......and, let's face it, some of the patients are horrific in their treatment of these people. However, there are several aides that truly should NOT be there.......Lazy, poor poor attitude, and don't possess what it "Takes" to work with older dependent vulnerable patients. When totally bedridden, it's rough being dependent on someone who simply doesn't CARE. I also experienced NO pain meds for the first day after being transferred from the hospital. After hearing from many other pts. while I was there, and reading other reviews,...it definitely is a common thread, and one that really NEEDS to be rectified. The disorganization simply doesn't need to be, and is terribly upsetting when you're in terrible pain. Now...on the other hand, I found the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy people to be exceptional!!!!! In my case, this was extremely important due to my injury. They all went out of their way to be kind, helpful, sensitive to me as an individual, while being very professional. It was difficult to say goodbye to a number of these lovely caring people when I was discharged. I would also be remiss in not including the VERY positive experience my children experienced with the Admissions lady, Gracie. My children are all out of town, and my insurance had given me a very limited choice of rehabs to be sent to. I will say......compared to my other choices, all in all, ManorCare of Boynton was a wonderful experience!!!

EXTREMELY disappointing experience!!! My mother was a patient at the the ManorCare of Boyton Beach for three weeks of rehabilitation and I would NOT recommend this facility. Despite numerous efforts to page the doctor on call while my mother was in their care, my phone calls were not returned. In addition, when I finally scheduled a firm time to discuss her care with the "team" assigned to her treatment, the physical therapist and medical / nursing staff did not attend the call. If you are looking for a caring environment for your loved one or family member, this is NOT the place.

So - I saw other reviews and was a bit nervous bc there were complaints about how they handled meds. I will quickly add my voice to these. My mom went here after a couple of days in the hospital to get a bit of rehab before going back home. She has Parkinson's Disease and did not receive any of her meds for 15 HOURS - and couldn't get anyone to do anything. Some excuse that being brought in on a Sunday and Pharmacy problems. Totally unacceptable for someone with Parkinson's disease....They never got the meds right and she felt so awful - she left and went home so she could feel better with help at home. Really bad experience all around.
Not Impressed!

My mother spent a short stay in this facility. I was happy that they received her. However, she did not receive her correct medicine. She got bed soars in one week. The food was horrible. They could not provide a diabetic diet. She was over treated with IV antibiotics for a urinary tract infection that she never had. She never left her room for Physical therapy. When she complained about belly pain and only wanted an anti acid they wanted to do an ultrasound and x-ray first.

Manor NOCare... After experiencing the care my dad (who is a very patient & nice guy) was subjected to, I wouldn't let my dog stay here. Horrible food, at least a half hour wait for assistance (they tell u to go in ur pants), mismanagement of meds, most employees have poor attitudes towards patients & visitors, your personal items disappear and medical staff not trained to identify critical changes in a patient. PROS: Clean room and good therapists. Advice: There are numerous and very good Rehabs out there, do your research!

I was there twice...a month at a time. After hip surgeries. There were several patients who were there for years. They had been in a few skilled nursing homes before and were quick to say, "This is the best of the worst." Phil
