I toured a room at Garden Square Assisted Living of Casper and it was set up nicely to allow for spacious access from area to area. The rooms weren't as large as what my mom is used to navigating, but that might be a good thing. There were ample common areas for residents to gather if they wanted to. The lady who gave the tour was very personable and very in-depth in explaining to me where things were, how things worked around there, and what they try to accomplish daily with the residents. She was very good. They also showed me a location where families could get together and have a cookout or gatherings.

Garden Square Assisted Living of Casper was an excellent place, but their bedroom was really small. They had very friendly staff and they had a lot of activities. They had a beauty shop there, and they also had laundry facilities right there handy. They had big family meeting rooms and exercise places. The staff who gave me the tour was very, very nice. The dining area looked fine. It was a big dining room where everybody sits together. They had lots of small tables, like a restaurant-style, and they ordered off the menu. The facility was very well-kept and very nice.

We took a tour of Garden Square Assisted Living of Casper. The lady that gave us the tour was friendly and helpful with the information she gave us. The studio apartments were so small. It seemed like they had good activities and things like that. The residents were having lunch, so they were all just hanging out in the dining room. We saw the menu, but we didn't try the food. The residents were just sitting there at the tables. They kind of visited with each other a little bit. That is about all we know.

The manager of Garden Square Assisted Living of Casper was there for our appointment and gave us a very nice tour. We were impressed by the facility, the common area and the rooms. We looked at a couple of rooms that were quite nice. If we would put my dad in Casper, it would be in the Garden Square. Both my father and I were there one evening and played music for the residents with our musical group, so I know that they have good musicians on a regular basis. I know they have a lot of bingo and other games and activities, like bowling, puzzles, and card games, that are easy for older people to catch on to.

We checked out Garden Square Assisted Living. The lady was very nice. She took her time; it wasn't rushed or anything. She showed us the room and explained everything to us. She even sent us paperwork. The facility is up on Beverly towards the mountains, and it is a nice peaceful place. It has a nice, tranquil look to it. The residents I saw there were really interested in us while we're there. One lady even said, "Hey, they could go see my room if they want," and they were all really nice. Their apartments have lots of storage. They were very nice apartments. They're just one-bedrooms with a handicap bathroom, and my husband really loves the really nice extension in the shower. There is lots of storage in the bathroom and the kitchenette. There is a big closet in the bedroom and a big picture window looking out. They have crafts, they decorate on the holidays, and they have seasonal decorating. They also have dances. They just have lots of stuff to do. Also, they would take you shopping in Casper. They would bring you to different Veterans clubs. They also have a calendar that they give for everything that is going to be going on each day of the month. However, they didn't have big grounds like some of the other places have. This one was very well maintained and very nice, but they just didn't have a whole lot of room to walk around in.

I felt there could have been more assistance on the staffs part. Some of the clients would lay and need help for what seemed to be too long. However, this is one of the cleaner facilities I've seen. Also the staff was fairly friendly.
