My father moved into Oak Park Place Wauwatosa. It is close to where I live. It was within our price range, and it just looked good. We liked the fact that they seemed to help us with everything to get him in when we were kind of in a hurry. They seemed to take care of everything that we needed. The staff is good. It's kind of a work in progress. He likes the food, but I wish there are different options for him for different times.

Our experience with Oak Park Place Wauwatosa was very good. The person that I worked with, John, was responsive to all of my questions, and we were immediately impressed by the living arrangement. The reason why we are actually choosing this place is because of the cost and the studio unit and the one-bedroom unit were the largest units among the other communities. We have received their regularly scheduled events. They just had an Elvis impersonator out there, and the former football coach from the University of Wisconsin was making an appearance. There were dining areas on each floor and they were nice. There weren't as many people as I expected in the dining area, but I think they were still encouraging COVID restrictions. The place seems very clean to me, too.

My brother was supposed to go to Oak Park Place Wauwatosa but he needed more care and they didn't have that level of care. But I like this place and the rooms were nicely laid out with lots of light. The administrator was really caring and really impressed me. It would have required for my brother to be more independent. The person in-charge was very accommodating and really impressed me. The room that was available for my brother was really perfect but he just couldn't do it anymore. He was going to be on the first floor which was assisted living but we had to raise the level. They had activities available on the first floor as well. The place itself was just so nice and the manager was so accommodating. They had a very nice dining room and very nice little sitting areas for visiting, not a big living room but just little areas which seemed so nicely laid out. They also offer activities, they have a gathering time where people would gather in the little dining area and I have observed some of the clients that live there. It just seemed like a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff who accommodated us really impressed me, and he struck me as someone who's very caring. He does his job very well and seemed to know the needs of people in his care.

Wonderful, caring staff at OPP. We as a family are so happy that we found "the place" for our grandmother. From top to bottom, the entire staff is helpful, kind and cares about their residents. Very clean, spotless and kept up. Can't say enough good things about it!

My wife is in memory care at Oak Park Place Wauwatosa. They impressed me because they knew all about Parkinson's and they answer the calls on their wrist buttons within ten minutes or else the nurse supervisor gets a reading on her computer that somebody hasn't gotten there fast enough. It's the only place that I have been halfway happy with. It's a three-story building and the memory care center has a locked door where you have to have a code to get out, which is what I wanted for my wife. We still have to keep dealing with the turnover in personnel. They're willing to work with you on the medicine timing with Parkinson's patients. My wife has a good-sized room with two dressers and closet space. It also has a nice bathroom with a nice sink and storage. It's big enough to actually wheel yourself in there in a wheelchair and be able to turn around. They also have rails on the walls for support. They also have a shower. They usually have a bit of room cleaning services. It's a pretty good facility.

We really liked Oak Park Place's size, friendliness of the staff, and the nicely appointed rooms we saw on our tour.

Oak Park Place - Wauwatosa is an assisted living facility, and it has an RN on duty 24 hours a day. They have activities, three meals a day, and individual bedrooms. I am very pleased with the staff, who are very warm and welcoming. I think they all look out for my best interests. There's a dining room and an activity room. I am very pleased with the whole setup. Someone there whom I know is very pleased with the setup, so that's a good reference. The place is very clean.

I thought Oak Park Place was a nice place. The people were very nice; the rooms were average. It seemed that there were quite a few things going on as far as activities; I liked that. Everything seemed convenient.

We are very unhappy with Oak Park Place. It's a beautiful building, but they are understaffed. They promise things that they don't do, their food is absolutely horrible, and there is no way you can call that good food. They mix up my mother's medication, and she had a delivery of strawberries, they left them at the front desk for four days, and she had to get down at age 96 to get them herself. They are supposed to help her with her shower, but they barely do that, and the minute that she steps out of the shower -- and when she does need help -- off they go. She has a very nice apartment, and when she could get outside, they had nice grounds that she could take a walk. We tried working with them. She fell twice, and they did not notify anyone in the family. The grounds are well-kept. They always have singing and get-togethers about once a week. They had a gentleman play the organ, and that was very nice.

Oak Park Place was my father’s first choice. We went there and agreed as it seems like a nice, clean facility. The people working there are top notch. So far, the work ethics look very good. They have been in contact with me two or three times a week to let me know what’s going. The room is basically an older size bedroom, and the bathroom is a good size bathroom with a shower. I ate there once, it was good, and I keep asking my folks who also say the food is good. They do all kinds of things in memory care. They take you outside, they have movies and TV, and they have a lot of movies that they play. The staff plays with the residents, and they do field trips and take them for rides. The memory care unit is all alarmed. If the alarm goes off, they’re right on it. My dad is a wanderer; he went downstairs a couple of times looking for his car which he doesn’t have anymore, and they were right on it.

Oak Park Place was\is impressive. It's in a very nice neighborhood that I'm familiar with. We dropped in unexpectedly, however, there was someone at the desk, and she gave us a wonderful tour. It was late in the morning, and there was really nothing going on back then. There were no residents around. The only staff we saw were in the kitchen preparing food. The food smelled good, but we did not taste anything. They had very nice dining areas, and each floor had its own. They're rooms had nice sizes; not overly large, and very comfortable. If we were to do this, we would be interested in a 2 bedroom place. One of the 2 bedrooms was of the small size, but the other was nice and spacious. It had a kitchenette and a bathroom. If I remembered correctly, they also have a walk-in shower.

My mom spent the last four months of her life at Oak Park Place in Wauwatosa and the experience was amazing! I highly recommend them without reservation - beautiful facilities, A1 food service, plentiful activities, and above all the caregivers without exception are absolutely wonderful. As for cost, check around and I think you'll find them to be very competitive.

Oak Park Place is a very nice place, but it's also the question of money. It's incredibly expensive. I know other people who have put some parents in there. Nice grounds. Everything is beautifully taken care of. I really didn't get to talk to the staff. That's a huge factor. You want to know the staff and who's taking care of your mom.

I liked Oak Park very much. I was very encouraged with this facility and this is the one I really wanted her to go to. The rooms were beautiful. I would recommend them to others.

My mom stayed at Oak Park Place Wauwatosa Assisted Living. I liked that they assisted the residents like when she fell, they actually assisted her to get up. She had a small apartment but it was spacious enough for her. She played bingo and cards with the other residents. She loved the food that was served there. It was very clean and it was a nice place. I especially liked the level of care that they provided my mom. I would recommend this place to other people.

The Oak Park Place is the best place for my mother and she's happier there. The place is bright and sunny, and it's brand new. She's very comfortable and has not cried since she moved in there. The staff is really good with her. The meals they prepare for her are very good.
