What I liked best about Talamore Senior Living are the facility and the activity options there. The least I liked are the views. My brother likes Utah because of the views of the mountains. There's not as dramatic a view as there is out West. I had a good conversation with the staff. They're informative. The facility was adequate and well-maintained. They had an exercise area. It's a good place. They provide transportation to restaurants.

Talamore Senior Living has all the levels of care in one building. It's a big multi-story building and very new. They have several floor plans available, three meals a day, and all the activities you could possibly want. They provide all the appliances in the room including a washer and dryer. It is absolutely beautiful. I find no fault with them except for the price. They have barbecue areas and little gardens where you could sit. They have very nicely kept grounds. They're not really large, but they're very beautiful. The staff who took us around knew all the answers to every question we asked her, and it's obvious that she's very proud of Talamore, and very happy to be working for them. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. They also have shuttles that go to the grocery stores and medical appointments.

The rooms are large and beautiful. The staff is kind and caring, management is available and always willing to help. The activities are plentiful and interactive. The residents rave about the activities! The community has a bus that takes residents on outings, a nice gym, hair salon, onsite nursing, and even a spa room. The outdoor patio is beautiful and full of flowers! This community is top notch! My mom loves it there! Highly recommend it!

My parents were residents here for about a month. We had hoped this would be their forever home. When my parents health declined they told us they could not care for them. We chose Talamore because after their initial rn evaluation they said they could care for them for all their needs, now and future needs. We had to find and move them out to a facility that could provide their level of care. If you are thinking of moving in to Talamore, I would strongly urge you to see if the resident can open the doors to their apartment. Not just the model apartment. My parents using a walker or wheelchair found they could not open the door. We unsuccessfully asked for adjustment to be made to make it easier. Other residents also find this to be unworkable. One resident had her son completely remove the closer from her door. Dietary also has many problems. It was not unusual for one person to be handing out silverware, taking orders, cooking the order, delivering the food, and bussing the tables. I waiting for 45 minutes for a pb&j for my mom. Residents that reley on aids to return them to their rooms after a meal often have unacceptable wait times of up to an hour. Housekeeping is included...please ask exactly what that means. In the month my parents were there the sheets were only changed once by staff. No dishes were washed. Bathroom was cleaned very infrequently. The "cantina" is not open nor was it ever. There was a clock in the lobby of their floor that never worked, it was confusing to my parents. No effort was made by anyone that worked there to fix it. We were told it was "a decorative clock", not meant to be functional. I finally put a battery in it because noone else took initiative. A family member was there everyday but one to observe their care. There are a couple of trained competent compassionate aides but far and few between. All the staff was very nice. I witnessed a resident threaten an aide with violence. There is another resident that fellow residents are afraid of. I was disappointed no effort was made to celebrate residents birthdays. The place is pretty but they are extremely unstaffed with trained staff. The on boarding process was very poor, there was no explanation of weekly schedule as it applied to housekeeping or showers. The first day they were there, noone came to get my mom dressed, give her her medication, or get her to the cafeteria until after 10am when i asked for those things to be done. You can not have a landline, only cell phones. It concerns me that they are trying to fill open apartments yet cannot serve the current residents adequately.

We had a very complete tour of the amenities, rooms, and garages at Talamore Senior Living. All of our questions were answered, so it was a very good tour. I thought the room was very, very nice too. The only thing that we were concerned about was the shortage of closet space they had, not only for clothing but for cleaning supplies, winter coats, etc. We talked to Wendy, who was the director of sales. She knew very much about the place and provided the initial review of the facility, showing us locations on a map, and then she showed us the amenities on the first floor and took us outside to show us those particular facilities. Had we purchased a unit there, we would only have been the fifth person because it was a new facility that just opened.

My dad fell in love with Talamore Senior Living when we went in and looked. He likes them because they've got a combination; they've got the independent living, which is where he's at, and then they can go to assisted living, and eventually, they have a memory care facility, too. It's new, and he liked that. They have dining and they've got a little cantina that you can stop in and charge to his room if you want to pick up a drink. He was happy about it. The staff was very nice, very informative. He liked how the space was set up, and he liked the floor plan. He liked that it was new and that the staff was very friendly. They've got an activity director. She could do art and crafts and painting. They've got a beauty salon and a fitness room. They got the cantina, and it got a dining room; they get three meals a day. It's very new, everything was clean. They had a fire pit, an outdoor private courtyard with a fire pit you could set up; I think they might have had a grill. Some have balconies.

Talamore Senior Living was still working on its licensing for assisted living and memory care. It was very nice and very new, they just opened. I think in some respect, in the memory care part of the facility, the rooms were probably a little overdone in a way. They have a full-sized refrigerator, kitchen sink, and cupboards, and I thought that was a little overdone. There was no staff there yet, they haven't even staffed their memory care people yet. I went through the tour and saw the facility. They had areas set up for families to come, they had a beautiful outside seating area with a barbecue and fire pit, it was just beautiful. The cleanliness was fantastic; it's brand new. The location was close to shopping, they have a variety of different stores, and the location is perfect for shopping. It's close to one hospital and there's a number of medical clinics in the area. They had a salon and they had a small gym area for four people there, probably more for the assisted or the independent living people.
