I liked Park View Gardens because they were next to the grocery outlet and stores right there. There's restaurants, grocery stores, and McDonald's is over there in the big lot that you can just walk to. They also had a nice area kind of set up, parking lots, and also had real nice little walking areas set up with bushes. I liked the layout. The staff was great. They were my second choice.

Parkview Gardens happens to be half a mile from my home and that was a big factor why we picked them. It is quite small as far as assisted living facilities go. They're currently doubling their size and that means they're adding 24 apartments so there's 24 to begin with and another 24 coming in. For those who may not want assisted living, there are also independent senior apartments without additional services located there as well. My mother is having short term memory issues with Alzheimer's and we just felt that a smaller setting and a little bit more individualized attention would be best for her. There is a medical clinic within a quarter mile and there are several restaurants. They also have an enrichment counselor. There are 3 meals a day provided if you want them. They have yoga, tai chi, bingo and game night and there is a beautician that comes in once a week. They have a spa day where everyone has their nails done. We're very happy with them.
