I'm in River's Bend Health Services. I would recommend them. I have been here almost two and a half months now. The therapy was excellent. They have friendly and helpful nursing staff. I got here and I was strictly Hoyer lift and stuff like that, and now I can walk with a walker. I'm mainly in a wheelchair but I can get around and I can do all my independent daily living things. They're just helpful, down-to-earth, and professional. They have an activities director and they have all kinds of activities going on all the time. They play bingo, they play cards, one day they were doing Monopoly, and they have church services. They have a social hour every two weeks. I'm getting everything I need.

My in-laws are residents at River's Bend Health & Rehab, but that place is terrible. When we were there, my mother-in-law was supposed to take her pills, but the pills ended up on the fruit tray the guy was going to walk out with. I said, "Wait a minute, she didn't take her pills." It's like they stick them in a room and they don't care. I tried getting her phone hooked up in there and I've told them about it. They said they would have somebody come and check on it; they said they had to get an IT guy or something, and she still doesn't have a phone in her room, so we had to go buy her a cell phone. She's 80 years old and she's never worked a computer in her life, so she's having a little trouble. It just seems like they don't care, that's why I want to get her out of there. I called to get to talk to the administrator, and left a message for her to call me back. It's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything. They haven't complained about the food at all. The room is too small and she just sits there. The value for the money is very poor. For the money they're paying, the people in jail or prison have better care than what they've got. I haven't even seen anything on her bulletin board, or any activities, or ever heard of anything. And you can't get a hold of anybody to talk to them about what's going on there. My father-in-law said they had church services there.

If you care about your loved one. Do NOT send them here. Very under staffed. Very rude staff!. They never wash clothes, never answer the phones. My loved one has fallen in the hallways several times . Has been dehydrated. UTI's. Broken bones. It is horrible. Judy is very rude. Even the hospital does not like the care .

My mom, my dad and my husband were all residents in the past. Care is lousy, short staffed all the time. No info between shifts. No one knows what's going on or what changed between shifts. Food is horrible. The head nurses and social workers are snooty.

I would not want my relative living in a place where the administrator makes six figures and leaves the employees short staffed, on purpose to rake in the profits. This facility is corrupt. And management is a joke. Please bring your family member here if you want the worst care in the county for them.

My father was taken to Rivers Bend for rehabilitation following surgery. He is in far worse shape now than when he was admitted. They can't get meal orders straight much less patient care. They can't even get the treating physician right. When he was admitted we informed them of a change we wanted to make in who his treating physician was. Two weeks later we saw some paperwork showing that it had not been changed. It was brought to their attention and they said it would be corrected. Just found out the change still had not been made.

Rivers Bend is good and has good food. The staff and the rooms were wonderful. Plus it’s clean.
