My husband stayed at Brookdale Kenosha for a week. The staff members were awesome. They took care of my husband. His room was very efficient for him. He didn't need any extras in the room because he would get into them, like lamps, extension cords, and anything like that. They cleared all that stuff out for me. They left his TV on the channel that he liked and took the remote control out of there. They did everything that I asked them to do, so that he would be comfortable and not hurt himself or do anything. They had activities every day for him. They would keep him up to date with what was going on and happening in the world. They would also do different games to keep them active. They had music. The grounds were very nice.

We toured Brookdale Kenosha. It was beautiful. It was very clean. It did not smell. The staff there were very attentive. Even the administrative staff were very attentive to the people that reside there. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable about the facility and even about the residents that reside there. The dining area looked nice. I liked how they have three separate levels of dining rooms and how they have a couple of different family rooms. We could go in there with our own food and have a quiet family dinner if we chose that facility. There appeared to be a small event like a music type of group. They all looked like they were having fun.

We're going to move my father-in-law to Brookdale Kenosha. The tour was very good, the staff showed us everything, and they're very helpful. The rooms that we saw looked well kept up, clean, and nice. It's a nice area that was very inviting. Some women were singing along with the television. We had a private dining meal there and the food was very good.

We toured Brookdale Kenosha. It was very nice. It wasn't as fancy as the other places that I've seen, but I liked the fact that it was all memory care. In a lot of places, the memory care section is a locked door separate from the general population, but there, because it's all memory care, they're all the same. The whole facility is theirs. They're not just locked away somewhere. The staff were very nice. Sharon was nice. The woman at the front desk was very helpful also. At least three different times like when we first got there, when we left and when we were walking through, I saw the woman at the front desk interacting with the residents like helping them make phone calls and different things, which was nice to see, too. They were interacting with them. The residents weren't just kind of walking around and doing their own thing. They had a group of residents that were doing exercises in a room. There was a woman that was like putting together a puzzle in a nice sunroom kind of area. Everyone we encountered was nice. I think the apartments were all studios, at least that's what we saw. They're a little bit on the smaller side, but they all have their own bathrooms and showers. They're doable. They were nice enough. The dining areas are in the center of the facility. They are segregated a little bit according to function or the ability of the residents so that they don't have residents that need to be fed with independent residents. They kind of cluster them together. They have like three different dining rooms, but they're all kind of open to each other visually, but not necessarily like a big room. There was a group of residents doing their chair exercises. The staff was just coming back with a snack cart to give them snacks and stuff. They have like a PT room, a salon, and those types of things. They have some outdoor space, too, but not like what my mom has at the other place. It was just more like a community/courtyard kind of thing that was all fenced and safe.

Incredibly short staffed. There were times when we couldn’t get anyone to answer the door therefore we had to leave. I can only speak to my mothers room which was filthy. I have plenty pictures that I showed to the director and she chose to do nothing about it. They put my mother in a wheelchair , I have no clue why as this was all done without my knowledge or consent. I’m guessing they needed to restrain her as she walked constantly and fell quite a few times. She did require surgery for one of her falls. The wheelchair was improperly used… end result my mom’s leg became contracted. Not one person in the building had the decency to tell me of the contraction. Of course I talked with the director about it and she told me she’d have to “ investigate “ and she would get back with me. Here we are five months later she still hasn’t gotten back with me nor will she reply to my emails. The beauty part of this is they have raised her fees to double of what they were when she moved in. Brookdale is most definitely an inhumane facility.

I toured Brookdale Kenosha for my mom, and I wasn't that impressed because it's butted up against a small industrial park back behind it. And there was like a pile of asphalt from somebody who's a paver street company. When I walked in, they had three people sitting on a couch looking at a TV that wasn't even on a channel. There's a "no signal" sign and I asked, "how come these people are looking at a TV that is not even functioning on," and one of the ladies on the couch overheard me and said that the other side always steals the remote. The rooms are fine. I don't like the idea of a shared bathroom though. I was not able to taste the food, but they were in the kitchen preparing for lunch at the time, and it smelled good. They all gave us schedules with the daily events, and they're pretty much alike from one home care center to another. Only one woman showed me through. She was nice enough, informative, and she gave me the information I asked for.

I toured Brookdale Kenosha. It was a very good tour. It was very thorough, it was very informative, and I left with all of my questions answered. I really only met with the director -- not the executive director, the sales and marketing person -- but she was very attentive. She was very understanding of our situation, and Lee was very, very helpful. They were very nice, very welcoming, and very considerate of the patients living there. It was open with lots of windows, but it was safe because it was locked. There is a whole activity board; it's like a whiteboard where they list everything going on that day. It was clean, and they appeared to have a very caring staff.

I had a very positive experience with Brookdale Kenosha. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit for my friend, but it's still an excellent facility. They were very professional and I was impressed with them. It's a good place, and it's in a great location. The facility is most appropriate for memory care residents.

Brookdale Kenosha was nice. It just wasn't quite what we needed. They showed us a 1-bedroom room, and it was pretty small. The bed was too small and didn't have any railings or anything. It was nice, clean, and everything looked nice though. I only met the salesperson. He was really nice and very helpful. He showed me some of the activity rooms and stuff that they were doing. The facility was clean and well-maintained. They had a room with just chairs in it, they called it a meditation room or a quiet room. There was also an outdoor patio area, all enclosed, right in the middle of the building. It's nice.

Stay away!!! Filthy, unprofessional, promises are made and not kept, loved ones not taken care of! The last place you would want your family member to end up.

Brookdale Kenosha is a great place. They are really nice people who are easy to talk and tour with. It is a very nice place. My sister likes it too, but she felt that the people were too old for her. They have daily activities going on. They have a monthly calendar but each day they post that day's happenings everything from mystery theater to massage times. They have a very nice hair salon, too. The rooms are nice but not huge. The bathrooms are great; they have a seated area in there. They also have a number of small gardens that you can walk into. This is just memory care, which I like. They have three different cooks and three different cafeteria areas. Everyone is fed a three-course meal, and they always have a dessert at the end. There is also a 6-to-1 ratio. The place is very clean, and there doesn't appear to be anything to be worn down. It all looks fresh.

Brookdale was extremely clean, there was no debris, or odor. Everybody seemed very pleasant and happy. It was just a really inviting first vibe. I was very impressed. They had a little cooking area, they had a table set up for crafts, and a beauty salon. They had three meals and snacks. The staff was extremely informative, showed us many units, and took us from one end to the other. I would be very comfortable having my mom there.

I visited Clare Bridge. It chose it because I liked the layout, I liked the way it looked, and I liked the price. I liked that it was dementia and Alzheimer's only. The facility was clean. It looked like a home with a very homey feel, or a bread-and-breakfast. It didn't look like a nursing home or a hospital. The staff was excellent. The rooms were very nice and spacious. They had private rooms with a little kitchen and a semi-private room, which was also nice and divided by a wall, so you couldn't see the other person. They could bring in their own furniture so that they would feel comfortable. It had a beauty shop and an ice cream parlor. They had an outdoor sitting area where they could sit outside, and it was very secured so they couldn't roam off and go anywhere, which is important when dealing with patients with dementia and Alzheimer's. They do activities throughout the day, and everything was geared towards Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory, which was nice. They had live events every Thursday, like bringing in bands, a guy who played the accordion, or a magician, for the patients. It gave them something to look forward to.

My mother has been a resident of Clare Bridge for several mos. now. I believe it should be given an above average rating, so I gave it a 4. It's not perfect and no place is. No place is like home. They give good care, but there is room for improvement. You must be an advocate for your loved one and make sure whatever living plan you choose is being met. There are some holes. I believe the caregivers have to do too many varied duties . I believe there should be those who spend more one on one time with the residents. The caregivers do everything from passing meds to laundry and it is too much for any one person. There is never enough people on duty in any place I've been on that care for the elderly. I think they could do better on dining supervision and one on one activity. Some residents need more guidance.

We visited Clare Bridge of Kenosha while in the Wisconsin region looking at assisted facilities for our uncle. This facility can accommodate a variety of ambulation levels and as a resident's needs change, care can be shifted. We liked the exterior, which appeared very well maintained. The grounds were nicely landscaped, with nicely trimmed tree-lined walkways and seating areas for the residents to enjoy. The fitness center was very nice, with well maintained equipment and regular exercise classes offered. There were well designed rooms for activities like quiet reading, socializing, card games, exercise, and a variety of other stimulating. The outside activities featured interesting cultural events in the area -- such as art, music, eateries and other interesting events. They also had a large auditorium for group events. The living spaces were well designed, efficient and yet still spacious. They were also beautifully decorated with lots of fresh air and light. Dining areas were quite nice, with plenty of space. The food we saw looked and smelled delicious. The menus all had healthy food options for all kinds of diets. Snacks are offered all day and into the evening, as well as whenever residents requested. We liked the positive energy here. Despite not have an appointment, yet the staff was very accommodating and let us take a tour. We were very impressed with this facility -- in fact, it is one of the best we've seen thus far. The staff is also exceptionally kind, caring and helpful.
