My father has moved into Heartis Village Brookfield. The facility was beautiful. It was newer and the representative from there that we talked to was just amazing. Everything is just really beautiful there and convenient. They have a lot to offer. They have libraries, a gym, a theater, and just a whole bunch of activities every day. The staff members are very familiar with everyone who stays there. They know their names and they're just very, very friendly and kind. I did not sample the food, but I sat with my dad as he ate The food looked really good, and he said that he enjoyed the meals there. He's not been going to a lot of the activities, but he went to a build-your-own banana float and he said it was great. I think it's a great value.

I toured Heartis Village Brookfield. They're very topnotch, very clean, very professional, and very well put together. The staff was very caring and very attentive. The facility was beautiful. It was new. It was well-maintained. It was large. It was spacious.

I went to Heartis Village Brookfield. It was a very good tour. It was comparable to what we've got currently with the exception that the only difference I saw was that they offered additional service hours, which is where I am at the moment. The structure seems good. I met people there. We spoke with service help and with the people that were in the rooms. The food looked amazing. They offered the next level of service that we may need at some point in the future. The staff was exceptional.

Absolutely not worth the money spent. Take some of the fancy furniture and spend it on some good food. I mean, HOTDOGS for Mother’s Day dinner?

Heartis Village Brookfield was wonderful. Though the apartment that I would want for my mom, she can't go in because she doesn't have a dementia diagnosis. None of the other apartments were appropriate, but it's a wonderful, beautiful, stunning place. I loved it, but it was just not right for my mom. The facility is fantastic and beautiful. The apartments were nice. There's no furniture or anything, so you have to furnish everything yourself. A lot of the places have at least the bed and dressers, and they have nothing in there. The person who gave me the tour was phenomenal. He was wonderful, I can't say enough, he's newer, and he just did a wonderful job. They have activities, and they try to engage the people. The only issue that I had was, it wasn't right for my mother because she doesn't have the right diagnosis to stay on the dementia side. Then on the other side, you have to walk. It was a distance for me to walk to get to the dining room, so you'd have to be pretty darn independent or in an automatic wheelchair. It's just too far for her to walk, and she's not going to go in a wheelchair for the dining room. Their menu looked wonderful; I was drooling when I was there.

My mom has moved into Heartis Village of Brookfield. It's very bright. I like the rooms a lot. The room is very clean and bright. The majority of the staff seems very good, friendly, and helpful. There are a few that aren't as helpful. My mom says the food is hit or miss. Some are very good, some are not so good, but I think they've had a bit of a turnover, so it's improving. Her biggest complaint, though, about the food services, is they have to wait a long time. They sit down and then somebody comes and takes their order, but they might have to wait an hour before that person gets there to take their order. They have an exercise group, bingo, arts and crafts room, and a library area. So far, that's all my mom has done. She has only been there for three weeks now. They have some improvements they need to do, but they did get rid of the head guy and now the new guy seems much more proactive. I think it will all improve.

I met one of the staff members at Heartis Village of Brookfield, but it was kinda questionable. They need to improve their activities, because I went back a second time there, and they were supposed to have activities going on, but they had nobody in either activity. So I'm not sure if it was just something that the residents didn't care for, or it was just normal. I think that may put a question mark in my head. It was a nice facility, and the rooms are nice, but it just felt like the facility felt a little cold, but the sales and marketing person was awesome. She was very, very good.

We looked at Heartis Village of Brookfield, and that would have been our second choice. It's a beautiful facility and absolutely gorgeous. It's stunningly gorgeous, and to me, that is what I would consider high end. I only met the director and the salesperson, and they're good. If we could afford it, we would have moved my mom there. They have independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

We had my mom in the senior living at Heartis Village of Brookfield until she broke her femur, and we were concerned that their level of care might not be enough for her. But we are questioning our decision at this point. She had an apartment there with three rooms. It was a very large bedroom, very large bathroom, and a sitting area with a small corner. Plus, a kitchen, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. She could have a toaster and things like that. The staff were very nice, but she was very far down the wing, in the last room, and I did not feel like they were checking up on her. She was not there long enough for activities. While she was there, there was nothing going on. It was easy for me to get ahold of them. We were not there long enough to have any issues.

We were sold a bag of goods. Beautiful on the outside. Beautiful at first on the inside. Father needs extreme care which we have been paying a LOT extra for. A schedule was drawn up for assistance with toileting throughout the night. Without one of our family sleeping in the lift chair every night, he would be laying in his wet pajamas all night. Calls on his button are not being answered, even after 20 minutes. Food is delivered to his room, cold and dried out. Last night my sister went trying to find someone (after she herself took care of Father's toileting needs) and found two staff watching a movie in their theater. Despite a previous meeting with the Executive Director, Nurse, and Staff coordinator, about these same issues and promises made, it continues yes to happen. Yes, RUN, not walk away...

Both of my parents are in Heartis Village of Brookfield, and so far our experience has been good. The place is very nice. I live in another state than they do, and with COVID we also can't go in to see them because they're on quarantine, but so far everything seems fine. My parents have a two-bedroom apartment, but they also offer one-bedroom and studio options. I've only interacted with one staff member, and it's been a positive experience. They have a theater room, lots of different lounge areas, and a courtyard, I believe. The facility is quite large. My mom says sometimes the food comes cold and sometimes it comes hot, but I would say overall it's fine. The price is comparable to all the places we looked at, too.

RUN, don't walk, away from Heartis Brookfield! It looks like a castle from the outside, the interior is gorgeous and inviting, the resident rooms are beautiful. That is where the goodness ends. Management is 100% focused on sales, not on resident care. Training of staff is less than poor. "Caregivers" are bodies to fill the required numbers - try to find an assisted living with trained CNA's as caregivers! My mother was a resident there and suffered a severe fall due to staff negligence. She has since passed and upon packing her things to move out, we discovered that items such as new shoes had been taken. I hope this review reduces the chance that other families would have to endure what my mom and our family went through. $6000 a month is ridiculous for the level of care received!!!

This community is brand new and very nice, but if you are looking for assisted living, look elsewhere. The rooms and facilities are not set up for anyone who needs any kind of additional assistance. In our tours, staff was non-existent and there were residents in the dining room actually clanging on their glasses to get service. We did go through the entire process of having our father become a resident, but last minute were turned down for an issue that truly wasn't an issue. This left us scrambling to find another place. In the end, it turned out to be a blessing. We found a wonderful Assisted Living community, which had no issues with the assessment of our father and were very welcoming and a great fit for him. We were very thankful we didn’t end up at Heartis.
