The Heritage and Peabody Manor Community provides more care than where my mom was living before, and it is not as expensive. She is in the community-based residential facility part, but they also have a skilled nursing facility adjacent to it. So, if she gets to the point where she needs that additional care, she can be moved to that location. We're very lucky that my sister found out about this place because they had two openings and they had not had an opening for quite some time. The other thing was my mother was transferred directly from the hospital to this facility and it worked out well. They have a higher ratio of CNAs to residents and they have an RN available 24/7. She's also receiving physical therapy. They're going to try to give her speech therapy as well. I would highly recommend this place. The other good thing about it is they have their own bus to transport residents to medical appointments. I sat with my mom for several meals while she ate and the variety of food that they offered and the quality of it were good. People have designated seats in the dining room, so it's a very nice atmosphere. It is well-appointed. It's got two windows on two sides and they have woods around the campus. It's got a nice restful view. All of the different facilities in it were clean. Both my sister and I were impressed. On Fridays, they have members of the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra come and perform. My mom has gone to that activity, but they have all kinds of other activities. I feel that it's a good value for the money, especially considering the amount of attention and care that my mom gets, which are very important.

I went to The Heritage and Peabody Manor Community. Peabody and Heritage are together and The Heritage is the assisted living. It's kind of like a resort. People who just want a place to live can live there, and people that need assisted living can live there. They have extensive grounds and many activities. They have lots of hiking trails. They have a hiking club. I don't know how many assisted living people would participate in that. They have a bistro and a library. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable.

The Heritage in Appleton is a full-scope facility. They have, not only assisted living but also independent living. I looked at their independent living and it was not as posh as the other ones I have visited. The staff was very friendly and cooperative though. I saw a 1-bedroom apartment and it was clean but not spacious. It was rather small. They have a gym, a snack bar plus a full restaurant and private dining areas for family visiting. They also have a library on the second floor for people who want to check out books and a nice area for people if they just want to come down and sit in solitude or if they want to get away from everyone.

My Mom moved in mid-covid because the other facility she was at previously had numerous cases and no preventative measures were enforced. She loves it! The staff is fantastic! She has heard numerous times from staff members that they love their job, and it shows! Apartments are thoroughly cleaned regularly, with attention to detail being the highest priority! The food is very good! The one bedroom apartment is spacious and has numerous closets and a storage locker. There is an A/C unit in the living room and the bedroom for cool sleeping. The monthly cost is lower than most I have researched. The coffee shop and pool table are fantastic, and no coins needed for the laundry! You can’t beat the numerous wildlife either. Such a wonderful, caring place!! I highly recommend it!!

Independent living at the Heritage is a total farce. My parents left the Heritage last summer and were immediately able to live together. They were also immediately able to play games and cards with other residents. My mother-in-law is still stuck at the Heritage and is still not able to do these things and also can’t interact with others residents for dining which my parents have been able to do safely for months. The Heritage residents even got their second COVID shots a couple weeks ago and are still locked down!

My mother went to The Heritage and Peabody Manor Community right after hospital. It was terrible there. They should improve on the food and response time. Its physical appearance was very good. It was very fancy and high-class looking. We just couldn't get any reception in her room. They do ladies' nails once a week, they have different services on Sundays, they play Wii bowling and cards, and they do arts and crafts. She has had a high anxiety there, so they bring in an aromatherapy machine for her, but 9/10 when I go into her room they didn't even have it running because the water needed to be re-filled. There was not enough help there.

The sales pitch is not on the level. They give 24 hrs to get out when a change is needed. For the resident. The decision makers are rude, wont give out info needed. They actually refuse. I do not recommend.

I was able to visit The Heritage, and it's a very nice place, but there was a waiting list. I would not say that the staff is overwhelmingly friendly, but just okay. The place looked modern and clean.

The place is pretty much all inclusive. They started with senior housing and they have an assisted living. The food was excellent. The staff was very caring. It has a lot of amenities. It has a beautiful setting and very quiet. It's a really nice place. They also have a shuttle that takes you to shopping.

Heritage Village is absolutely beautiful. The place is gorgeous. They have different room sizes. They offer different levels of care from assisted living to nursing home to hospice. If I need to go some place this is the place.

I moved into the Heritage Peabody Community just two weeks ago. My apartment is very clean and well taken care of. It's an older building, but they've completely redone the woodwork, floors, and carpeting before I moved in. I like that the place feels more like home.

STOP - before you move a family member into Heritage Assisted Living - have Heritage clarify what they mean by ASSISTED LIVING, in case your family member will need more day to day care in the future. If you are EXPECTING Assisted Living to mean a move to a private or semi-private sleeping area with shared bathroom with meals prepared and served to your love one, Heritage DOES NOT have such a facility. INSTEAD THEY WILL GIVE YOU ONLY 24 HOURS TO FIND ANOTHER FACILITY OUTSIDE OF HERITAGE TO MOVE YOUR LOVED ONE INTO OR CHARGE YOU $20.00 AN HOUR FOR CNR CARE WHEN RESIDENT NEEDS MORE CARE. THIS IS NOT AN ATYPICAL SITUATION AS IT NOT ONLY HAPPENED TO OUR LOVED ONE BUT AT LEAST 3 OTHER PEOPLE THAT WE PERSONALLY KNOW.

Overall, I thought that this nursing home was a nice facility. The building itself seems new and well kept. The rooms, kitchens, and common area, are all up-to-date and comfortable for residents, visitors, and staff. One of my favorite things about the place, was a gas fireplace in the common area. Residents often sat here to watch television, eat, and enjoy the warm fire. The facilities are located just outside of downtown Appleton, making them accessible but also outside of the busier downtown area. Around the facility, is a quiet residential neighborhood. It seems like a safe part of town. My only criticism of Heritage is because of staff. A couple of the CNAs at the facility treated residents unprofessionally. While doing cares, they joked and seemed to pay little attention to the needs of the client. It also must be stated that this, in no way, is representative of the staff there as a whole. Overall, staff are professional and courteous.

My grandpa lives in this facility. Our family has been very impressed with the services he has been receiving. He has consistent nurses that check in on him in a timely manner. This allows my grandpa to form relationships with the nurses that are taking care of him. Additionally, it has a very comfortable atmosphere that allows my grandpa to feel as though he is living his everyday life. The staff is extremely friendly and our family is beginning to develop personal relationships with the caregivers. Also, the manager of the residence does his best to visit him on a weekly basis and check on his progress. This allows my grandpa to feel very welcomed and part of the community. Our family feels very strong that we have chosen the right home for him and would highly recommend this residence.
