The rooms are plenty spacious. The food has a very good selection for those looking for variety. The staff were overall, so good with my Dad. He had his 10 favorites, each one giving him special attention that he craved. The people in charge are flexible to make positive changes.

I liked the warmth I felt at Dimensions Living at Appleton. There was a lot of interaction going on with the residents and the staff. Linda was the lady that gave us the tour. She was a wonderful lady. You can tell she cared for the residents and their well-being. It was an older building, but it was clean, neat, and looked like it was well cared for. They showed us a studio apartment, but I wish we could have seen a regular apartment just to get an idea of how big it was. There were a lot of activities and a lot of outings provided for them. They had church services there, and they had happy hours. They had a couple of therapy dogs there walking around. If my parents were residents there, I could have lunch or dinner with them for a nominal fee.

My tour of Dimensions Living Appleton was fantastic. The rooms were excellent. The place was very clean and well-organized. The people were friendly. I would highly recommend it to anybody. The cafeteria area was set up almost restaurant-style, which was pretty cool. They made it very welcoming that way. The parking garage underneath was very handy for people to access if they still were able to drive. The activities area was pretty cool as well with a little fireplace in it and a small kitchenette for hosting parties if needed. I went to the second floor, and the wheelchair access was fantastic. It was very accessible and very handy to get to. So, I appreciated that. And then the assistance from people was very handy as well. They were readily there to help out with stuff.

My parents will be moving into Dimensions Living Appleton. It could use some updates. Everybody that you run into is very friendly. They do not seem like they're in a hurry to get away from you. They seem like they want to stick around and get to know you even if you're not a resident yet. The rooms looked OK and really could use some updating. There's a stove in there that nobody needs. We had an idea of how to renovate it. My sister and I wanted to take the peninsula out so that they'd have more space. We had a choice of two apartments and we took the one at the south side of the building because it gets more sun and the south side has a forest behind it and we figured that would be nicer to see. The dining area was restaurant style and there is a menu, and it was different every day. Usually, there's a choice of eggs and something else or you can have cereal or whatever in the morning. There was a movie or something going on when I was there. I've only been in there on the weekends. During the weekends, there are very limited activities, but there are four activities every day during the week that I saw listed on the activity calendar. There were three staff members that I interacted with.

Everyone in Dimensions Living Appleton was very nice and kind. The rooms were small though and there was no in-room shower. You had to go to other places for a bath or shower. That's one thing that I didn't like, but the neighborhood itself was very beautiful and well-run. We toured the memory care. They had two dining areas. One was more private, one was filled with more residents. It was well-kept and very nice. Safety was their number one priority, which I liked. So, they had this beautiful courtyard that was all enclosed. It was well-kept and very comfortable, too. It was well-staffed. They had a life enrichment program person who was in there and was doing a class with maybe six or seven ladies, which was very nice to see because, at the other facilities, we didn't see any activities going on.

Dimensions Living Appleton is really in the middle of nowhere as far as location. There was no outside area. It's near the airport. So you can't just hop in and go to a grocery store. My mom still drives, so it would be a distance for her to get groceries. The room was small and would accommodate two twin beds. They had a full kitchen in it. The people were extremely friendly. When my parents came, they had a sign up to welcome them. There weren't enough people and not enough couples. The people kind of stayed in their rooms, and you didn't see a lot of people moving around and socializing.

The staff was very personable. The facility was very nice. It was overall the best of what we saw. We went to their memory care unit, and the residents were having an activity with the staff. Everybody was very highly engaged, and it was fun to watch.

My mother moved in to memory care. Her room is very clean and it's just what she needs. I've been very pleased with each of the staff. There's always someone there, and my mom is being well cared for, and involved in what they're doing. They play basketball, and a game where they bat balloons around, and after the day, they play card games. The cost is comparable with other places.

I visited and the rooms were fine. They have an activity room, a small library, and areas where the residents can sit. The dining area was more formal and it was fine. The community is just close to the road, so it's one thing I didn't like about it. Instead of having a nice view, the view was of the road.

The people were very friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful facility and the cost was probably the cheapest of what I looked at. It's really the best place. They have almost like a restaurant where the residents go in and have choices on their menu. They have an on-site beauty salon and an on-site church, which was very important to my mother. There's a community room which you can reserve for family functions. The apartments had full kitchens and bathrooms. It's very nice. The food is very good, well-prepared, and the serving size is perfect. There's a big variety of activities, like a bus that takes them out to look at fall colors and to go shopping if they want. There are also activities right at the place all the time.

My father is living here, and he is happy so far. The apartment is spacious, it is quiet, and the staff is very friendly. I’ve gotten to know them pretty quickly, and they are nice; they always seem to have a smile on their face. The food is good. It is nice that they have a selection to choose from, and the food is very tasty, not bland. They actually use silverware, porcelain plates and bowls, cloth napkins, and tablecloths. Their calendar of activities looks pretty full, and every day there is something going on. My dad hasn’t participated in a lot yet, but he will be for sure. He has only been there for less than a month.

We toured. It was very nice inside. I really liked the looks of it. The only thing I didn't like was how big and sprawled out it was. From the empty room we saw, it was such a long walk to the elevator to get down to the main floor and then to the dining hall. They seemed really pushy and wanted us to sign papers right away. They had a separate area for people with dementia, who were more locked in. It was clean and homey-looking.

I visited. I liked their apartment-type housing. Everything was perfectly clean, and everybody was very friendly. I'd put myself there if I had to go. Every time an apartment becomes available, they redo the inside with new paint and everything. The rooms had a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave, and a large bathroom facility with a shower. It was very pleasant. The dining room was a meeting room as well. It had a fireplace and was large and very homey.

They were very friendly and quite competent. All of the people in that particular area seemed to be engaged in something, and they seemed to be happy. I saw them playing games. They take them out fishing and shopping. They keep them very active. I was impressed.

My mom has been here for about 5 weeks now. It is really good. We are really happy with everything there. She has a bedroom, and she has enough room for a recliner, a TV, and some other personal stuff. It is very nice. They have music activities, arts and crafts, movie nights, and field trips. It is very homey.

It is much more constrained. It didn't have the same freedom as the other facility. My mother didn't need the extra care. The staff was very friendly and caring. The rooms were smaller but well laid out. The dining area looked nice, and it looks like it will be accommodating to people's preferences and needs. We saw the exercise activity, and it seems to be according to the person's needs and abilities. As for security, it was set up so that people had a lot of security. If they have left the area, it was known that they have left. If that is the amount of care you needed, that will be perfect, but my mom didn't need that much care.

My father-in-law is here. My father-in-law likes it. The staff and accommodation are great. It is a studio apartment, but it is perfect for him and it is what we are looking for. He seems to like the food, but I haven't eaten there. We like that they have activities and I know he plays cards and bingo. He has been on a few excursions. I think they do some community activities where there is music and stuff. The price is comparatively OK.

I liked it. One of the reasons we did not consider this as a location is because they do not accept state aid when you're out of money. That was a determining factor for us because of the high cost of the memory care. Another factor -- this was a negative for me -- is inadequate parking. There doesn't seem to be enough parking here. I don't like parking on the side of a road especially when there's a ditch involved instead of a curb and gutter. It's very unacceptable in my mind. They do have a parking lot, but it's small. The good things are the homey environment, the common areas, and the adequate size of the individual rooms. We did not stay for the meal, but we reviewed the menu. I thought the menu looked very good.

My aunt is here and she really likes this facility. The place is very nice and clean. The people seemed really friendly. She has a one bedroom apartment and it is very spacious. The rooms are of nice size. The bathroom is of a good size and it's very clean. Their dining room is very nice and the food is very good. They both have indoor and outdoor activities. What I like the best about this facility is the support that the staff are giving to my aunt.

It was very new and modern. The staff we talked to seemed very knowledgeable and nice. We had an appointment there so they knew we were coming. But I think that's how they really act. A meal plan and activities are in the deal as well. They actually have at least 1 full time activity director. Something is always going on for the people if they want to participate. You kind of get what you pay for.

I had a very positive tour. The manager was great. I think they got everything there and it seemed very quiet. I like the dining room because it doesn’t like an institution dining room. There are a lot of carpeting throughout which I like because my mother walk with crutches. I was very satisfied with them. It's a very nice place.

It was a nice place and looked very clean. There was a fellow who helped us and spent almost the whole afternoon explaining how things work in that facility. He was very open and nice to provide information for us. The rooms were fine and they have a library.

The gentleman we spoke with was very nice and very helpful and he showed us around. He was very honest with me and he said my parents were probably too young for the facility. However, because my mom has Alzheimer's I wanted to know what was available so he gave me some information. If found the rooms too small for my parents. They had game night there and they also do lots of activities.
