My mother is in an Alzheimer's unit at Mansfield Place skilled nursing center. The community is small and the nurse to resident ratio is really good. Some Alzheimer's patients get to be combative and things like that, but they've kind of hit the right medications now to where that's much better than it was. Her room is very good. She has a television, her own bathroom, and shower. The place is very clean. They have scheduled activities every day. They do different games and things like that, trying to get them involved and interact with each other. They have religious services on Sundays. The staff is very conscientious and very communicative. They kind of involve me in everything with her care. They have monthly well-care meetings where they try to set an agenda for each resident, and I try to be a member of that as much as I can, usually by telephone. It's usually the nutritionist, the activities director, the head nurse there, and the social worker.

I have a relative in Mansfield Place who has been there going on six years. I can confidently saw I am pleased with the nursing home. Their kind and caring staff I appreciate so much. They love there residents. The patients get good care, I visit my family once a week. This is what I have saw since 2010.

Although, the furnishings were nice and expensive looking, I did not see the level of care I wanted for my mother. This nursing home is directly contacted to the hospital, so when my mom was sent to rehab at the hospital , I visited the nursing home on a daily basics to watch and see if this would be a good place to send mom should ever she need this service. She's 83 with mild dementia. They appeared short staffed, the smell was unbearable most days and when I would walk through the halls, several residents would be asking for help, requesting to get to their beds, wanting to lie down, asking me for something to drink, begging me to get them out of there", Several of the residents were following staff up and down the hallways asking for assistance and their request were be ignored. I was just not impressed with what I witnessed
