I was at the facility and was greeted nicely... The place was clean and the residents were ingaged in exercise activity... They seemed to be clean and there was no smell of incontinense.. which is a good thing.. I seen two workers interacting with the people that lived there.. I thought the place was nice , clean and friendly..GREAT VISIT

The times that I went to the facility the residents were in the sitting room awaiting our arrival, and the entire time there, I only saw two members of staff,at the most, during any visit there, so I could not help but wonder if the residents were cared for, or ignored due to a lack of staff available to help them. The rooms of the facility that I saw were neat and clean, but it was a lonely and cold atomosphere, instead of having a homelike feel. I really felt sorry for the residents, even though I did not know what I could actually do at that time, to help them. The same feeling of sadness and loneliness have been the atmosphere of any assisted living I have ever visisted, and I have discussed with other people and their experiences with nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and it seems to be a common practice to have too few of workers to care well for each and every individual resident. It's sad to me to think that the elderly and disabled are thought so little of, that proper care and nutrition are not a main focus for their care providers in facilities.
