Kanawha Place was a nice place. However, they wouldn't take my wife because she had open bed sores, and they didn't have any way of treatment. The facility was really nice. The dining area was really nice. The room was nice. I never had a problem with the facilities. The room was a studio setup. They also had one- and two-bedrooms. The person who toured me was very nice. I never really got to see activities. I was in kind of like in a hurry. They didn't elaborate on activities and stuff, but they had activities.

Kanawha Place was clean and airy. The staff member was very friendly and interested in knowing what my aunt liked and the things she was into. The activity room looked organized and clean. They showed me the craft room, the exercise/physical therapy part of it, the dining hall, and a sample of their rooms. There was an added room that the family could reserve to go in and meet privately with the resident. Kanawha Place was a nice place; however, we realized that an assisted living place was not for my aunt.
