I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I couldn’t say anything other than a great facility. Management takes every concern and runs with it. I always receive a follow up call. The residence manager up front always gets up and comes to entry way and greets my families. The food is great other asparagus, my mom is always anxious to get back “home” when we take her Sundays for church she loves it there. Nurses are very attentive and are respectful.

My mom has been at Greystone for about 6 months now and I cannot be happier. She is in the IL and loves all the friends that she has made. She was so scared about moving there and leaving her home but now she says that Greystone is her home. From the moment I walked into Greystone without a meeting to catch off guard to today it has been nothing less than superior. The outings and the way everything is ran there is just great. I even joke and say that I'm moving in next! Mom says I'm not allowed to..

On-site staff is amazing. Facility is comfortable and clean. Apartments are well designed and very functional for elderly residents. Food selection is average to above average. Food preparation is excellent. If these were the only criteria I was evaluating I would give 4 to 4.5 stars. My rating drops dramatically when it comes to opportunities for the residents to enjoy the outdoors. There is plenty of space for outdoor facilities and a proposal was discussed at a residents “Town Hall” meeting that was met with rousing applause. This proposal was taken forward to ownership and that is where it continues to sit. Actually, the lack of investment by the ownership in outdoor facilities for recreation and exercise is stunning. It hurts the overall experience for the residents. I hope the ownership will see that outdoor activity is paramount to improved quality of life for their residents.

Mom is at The Villages at Greystone. I chose this place because it's close to my house and that was a big thing. It's a nice place. The staff is good. They're very friendly and seem to know what they're doing. The meals are also good. They have a chef on staff that serves a variety of food. They get three cooked meals a day plus snacks. They have a lot of activities. They have a violinist on Sundays, play bingo every day, and hold holiday parties and festivals.

I am so thankful I choose Greystone for my mom in the independent living. The staff is wonderful and always go above and beyond. There is no doubt in my mind that my grandmother is being cared for. This is such a relief for me and my family! Dustie made every step of the move in process smooth and has not disappointed us since she has been there. She is going on 8 months now and everything is as good as she promised it would be. Would highly recommend Greystone to anyone needing it or considering placement for family members.

I visited this facility

My mom will be moving into The Villages at Greystone. They were very helpful. They helped put some of my mom's furniture together. We had things delivered for her and they took care of all of that. She has a small studio apartment. Everyone was very friendly. It was very clean, it had a welcoming atmosphere, and it smelled good. So far, so good. They have activities, and activities were going on while we were moving her things in. The residents seemed engaged. It's in a nice location, it's close to churches and other things in the area. I know they do outings, shopping and things like that. They were extremely helpful and welcoming, and the food smelled good. Everyone we came in contact with seemed happy to be there. It seemed fairly new.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My sister is at The Villages at Greystone in Beaver. We had to move her today from one side of the village to the other, which presented a lot of problems. Right now is her first night over there, and we're trying to see how it works out. She went from assisted living to another level that is more like a nursing home. It's one of the top places here in the Beaver area. It's a super nice place, the outside has this nice cinder block brick building. In assisted living she had a smaller room, and that's what she likes. She had a kitchen and refrigerator. She had a rocking chair and another pretty good size chair, a TV, and a phone. Her son didn't have any trouble with the staff because they're all quite prompt. They have four or five different buildings, and it's all first class. They keep the outside full of shrubs and trees. It's clean and it looks first class. I've eaten there a few times. They have their own chef, he was a topnotch chef that had worked at major places, so it's pretty good. They got exercise, they got movies, they got little games that they play, and they have a lot going on.

Greystone has been great! My mom is currently living there and I have been impressed with everything! Every step of the way from the move in process tell now has been great! Very happy with her here. Myself and my family have been able to rest easy knowing she is cared for and gets the proper meals and care that she needs and deserves. The rates are very affordable compared to other places around town. If you are looking for the best of best care in our area, please call them. You will not be disappointed.

I visited this facility

We went to the Villages at Greystone, and I was impressed. The rooms were good and big. They let people come and participate when they have different events like Thanksgiving and Christmas. The dining area was very good, it had a lot of room, with a nice table, flowers, and everything. The facility was not too old, but relatively new, and it’s a nice community.

My mom is at The Villages at Greystone. The staff is good. They try to be supportive. The rooms are nice. You can either have a little studio or a much larger suite. She complains about the food. She says it is not tasty.

Location to my grandmother’s home and familiarity made us choose the The Villages of Greystone. The staff is great, it is a very home-like environment, and you are able to create your own room to what makes you feel good. The food and the dining setup are very good. They have a large variety based on everybody’s ability. They cater anything, and they try to get everybody active. I would recommend the facility.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The Villages at Greystone is great, and the people are good. I also found out that it is right close to where I live beside my house. They offer both assisted living and independent living. We visited the rooms a couple of times. They have a room with a bedroom and an open room. They have very nice place, very clean, and very nice people. The work attitude is excellent. They tried to do everything they could to help me get my mom in here. They even visited her house. They have car shows, cookouts, and all kind of indoor activities. Everything you might want. The only thing is the price for independent living is real high. But I found that in their assisted living, my mom may be eligible for some VA benefits.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mother is staying in The Villages at Greystone. It is only across town to where she lives and across town to a hospital. I think it is built in the 1980s or 1970s, but it is well kept. She has her own room with a walk-in bath and a kitchen area. When I visit my mom, I meet the director and she is very nice. The nurse that is taking care of my mom is a next-door neighbor and she's a sweetheart.
