My grandmother is staying at the Park Manor Rehabilitation Center. What I like about them is that you can do outside visits, and they have a pretty nice facility. One of the things I don't like is that sometimes I feel like they don't communicate very well, and I feel like they are short-staffed. The rooms are nice, and the outside is really nice. They've got a lot of pretty landscaping inside the yard. They have a lot of activities they seem to do, and they seem to be pretty one-on-one with the client or the patients there. They have a lot of stuff to try and keep the patients busy there. They have different themed lunches, like a Cinco de Mayo theme day, and I think I saw them all dressed up one time; the staff were dressed up. My grandma doesn't personally participate in that stuff, but the other clients seemed like they were enjoying it. They had food in the main conference room, and it's pretty open for people to walk around, but of course everybody has to wear masks. They only allow people that are vaccinated in there, and they still have to wear a mask, except for the patients. The patients are not all vaccinated, and I like that too. They didn't say that she couldn't be there unless she was vaccinated because my grandmother is not. She doesn't do vaccinations more for religious purposes. Maybe they might need more staff so they can be more attentive. Sometimes, when my grandma hits the call button they don't come quick enough if she needs to go the bathroom; she needs help with everything.

My father was well taken care of while at Park Manor. Staff was freindly and nuturing. The therapy team got by dad back up and on his feet. After a few weeks he was able to go home. I appreciate the care that everyone provided at Park Mannor. .

Park Manor Rehabilitation Center was a good place for rehab. The staff is real good; the sanitation is good. I like the people that wait on you. The food was OK.

I do not feel that they gave the patients enough attention overall. It just felt as if the place was understaffed. Other than that I thought that the patients were well taken care of. The places I was in were relatively clean. They did do a good job of keeping the hospital like smell to a minimum which from my experience with other nursing homes is a very difficult task. They do have a very nice outdoor area for the residents to use. The security for the patients that tend to wander is excellent. It is located close to several stores for the residents who are mobile enough to get out and visit.

When I walked in, I was greeted with a semi industrial smell. Residents lined the hallways in various states of consciousness. The staff seemed to be enjoying their work and interacting with the residents. A man was playing the harmonica on a microphone that echoed throughout the whole facility through speakers, and singing a Classic Rock song. In the livingroom area, a book was being read to another group of seemingly interested residents. My Grandpa's room was right next to the Nurse's Station, all of his needs were quickly met. He always had fresh water available, good meals and was very well taken care of. My Grandpa was brought by Ambulance to the Rehab Center for post cancer treatment care. Immediately, he was made comfortable by the charge nurse on staff. She sat and spoke with him to answer all of his questions, and didn't leave until all of his needs were met.
