My father-in-law has lived very contentedly in SL since its opening several years ago. His living space is roomy, comfortable, and sound-insulated quite well. Cuisine offered in the dining room is delicious & well-prepared, and the menu is diverse, with multiple great options at every meal. Staff has always been gracious, welcoming, and interested in both the residents and us as visitors. Our family never doubts that he is in a great place, and he constantly says the same thing!

I toured Springwood Living and it was a very clean place. The social activities seemed to be good and their staff was friendly. I liked the gal who showed us around. The rooms were cheerful looking and the grounds were nice and well-kept. I also liked the fact that you could get a room with a balcony or a little deck.

I went to Springwood Landing. It was very nice. It's a beautiful community. It was gorgeous actually. They had a lot of amenities, and it looked fairly new. Michelle took us around. She was wonderful, and she was very informative. We had lunch there also, which was very good. We had chicken fried steak. There were lots of food. I only got half done and I said, I can't eat anymore, and the little lady at the other table says, 'Oh, you should have ordered only a half,' and I said, 'We didn't know we could have a half.' The dining area was beautiful. It was very open, it had lots of windows, and it was bright. It is like going into a restaurant. We sat down with a menu, and they had several choices, so it was very nice. They had crafts, they had a billiards room, and they had patios and I like that. The utilities were all paid, and that was great. They have a beauty shop on campus there. They have buses to take you to grocery shopping and doctor's appointments. They had a gym, a craft center, a hobby place, a computer center, and all that. They had raised gardens. It's very nice. The people were very friendly. The staff who gave me the tour was very informative and very friendly. She just let us kind of roam around, too, and we could ask people questions ourselves. It's very nice. The only thing I don't like is that I have to pay for three meals a day, and I'd rather do my own breakfast and lunch and just have dinner. I like cooking and stuff, so that was the only drawback for me. It's pricey but it's brand new, too. The chef even came out and talked to us. He asked how we like the food. He didn't know we were visiting, I don't think, so it's very nice.

Springwood Landing is nice. It's clean and eye-appealing. It's fairly new, so it's put together really nicely. The lady who toured us was very professional, very kind, positive, and welcoming. She was just really accommodating. I could tell that she knew the residents and she was super sweet to them. I liked that. We went to dinner there and the food was good. After dinner, they were showing a movie that night in their movie theater. They also have a craft area, they have people that go walking quite a bit, there's a library and a cooking/baking area that's part of the craft area. I visited probably three or four different rooms and styles of layout. There was a single bedroom and then there was one that had two bedrooms, but the one that my mom would go to had a small kitchenette. It had a peninsula and my mom would be able to have her dog with her, and she's not going to be charged extra for that.

Springwood Landing Gracious Retirement Living is beautiful, very clean, and I love it. The 1-bedroom apartment I saw was adequate, but the studios were much too small. The activity centers and grounds were beautiful. I also like the idea that I don't have to make my own meals and they offer three meals. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
