I visited Kamlu Retirement, and I have a friend there. It's an older facility, very comfortable, and their dining facility is very nice, spacious, and attractive. It's nearby and close to things. The dining staff is helpful, thoughtful, and kind. My friend has a 1-bedroom unit, it's a nice size, they all have windows that look out on nice green spaces, the people are friendly, and they seem to be open to doing things together. My friend really liked living there.

Kamlu Vancouver Senior Living is very nice, peaceful, clean, and welcoming. Everybody was friendly, very helpful, and courteous. The apartments are small for me. I would have to get rid of some stuff. It's kind of interesting that they're going to have Christmas in July. They do try to have activities. They have movies. The food was good. It looked great to me, so I had no complaints about the place.

We chose Kamlu Vancouver Senior Living for my grandmother because it is close to where I'm living, it's very close to a hospital, and it is right next door to an assisted living facility for when that transition may or may not need to occur. The living center meets all the qualifications and needs that my grandmother would need. They have a dining area, which seems to be one of the main attractions there, and they feed all the people three meals a day. It looks like everything was well maintained. Whoever was watering the plants was doing a great job. They're paying very much attention to detail there. The menus looked good, but I have no idea if they're good or not. The staff members are friendly. It is everything that we're looking for my grandma.

Kamlu Vancouver Senior Living was all very positive. I thought that the tour guide was informative, easy to talk to, and answered all of my questions. The facility wasn't new, but it's in very good condition. It's in good repair and it's freshly painted. I had lunch there and the food was excellent. The residents seemed to be pleasant and satisfied with their surroundings. I think they have two different options in terms of floor plans. So, you have some choice. There is no real kitchen, however, so if a person thinks that they want to do any cooking, they have to go to a common area to do it. They showed me an exercise room, but it's very small. There are only two machines in there, but considering the age of the people that live there, that's probably adequate. The lawns and the outside area were well-maintained and nice to look at.

Kamlu Vancouver Senior Living had a very friendly staff and great sense of community. It had sort of a small home feel to it. They had bingo games, a jewelry sale event that was going on, an in-house hairdresser, and a whole bunch of things. They also have a bus, but there's no bus driver, so they can't really take them anywhere right now (this is just temporary). We had lunch there and it was good.

Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver was an older facility, but it looked nice. I looked at two rooms there. One was downstairs with a patio and a very nice garden area. But it was a little small and kind of outdated, but they were going to redo that. I looked at one that was a little bit bigger, and I liked it better, but it was upstairs. They do have an elevator, though, so that wasn't bad. The gentleman leading us was very thorough and had a whole packet of stuff for me. We walked along and chatted about everything that we saw. They have movies. They make little trips. You can get rides to the doctor and all that stuff. They do provide meals, but I'm not ready for that yet. There was no adjustment if you didn't want meals. Their menu looked good.

I went to Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and answered the questions that I had. We did take a tour of the building and saw some of the people. The facility layout and so forth was fine. There's no big problem getting around or moving from one place to the other. They're basically apartments within a big building. They seem to have a nice eating area, common area for people to get together, share things, and communicate with one another. They seem to have plenty of activities for the people to choose from. It seemed like happy crowd that was there, at least the people that I got to see. There's walking paths mostly around the building, and it looked like places to sit down (if a person were to get too tired of walking). It's a plus because some people are using walkers and things like that. It's nice to get outside and have some place to sit down. The outside facilities seemed well kept. The parking area seemed to be a little bit small. I only parked only in a particular spot. I didn't really drive around the building itself to see if there were other parking spots. It was a small area for such a large number of people.

Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver was pretty nice. It's an older facility, but it was very clean. The staff was very kind and answered questions for me. It's not an Alzheimer's facility. It's independent living and the few people that I saw wandering the halls looked like they were in their 80s. The three rooms we saw were vacant. There was a studio apartment, a one-bedroom, and one a little bit larger. I was shown where the dining area was, and they put four six-foot round tables together, and every person had a chair and there was only one person to a table. With COVID, there wasn't a lot of activity going on. Most people were in their rooms I would assume, and all the doors were shut. I only saw two people walking around that were not staff. It was very clean. I didn't see paper laying around or trash or empty coffee cups. The lobby was very clean.

Kamlu Retirement Inn seemed like a nice place. They have a decent size studio apartment. It felt like an apartment complex where everyone was a senior. The dining area was very nice. It looked like it would be a place to easily socialize with people. It was very welcoming and you can have little parties there. They have exercise classes and book clubs. The one thing they had that nobody else that we talked to had was that they take the residents to a place to swim a couple of times a week. They have a big craft group, too. The staff members were great.

Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver was modest. It was not as luxurious as the others, but it was very nice. I would move in there. They have long-standing staff. The chef has been there for 10 years. The residents I've talked to were very happy there. It's an older facility, but it was very nice and very clean, and everybody was personable. It looked like they did a lot for their residents.

My experience touring Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver was nice and pleasant. The staff members were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very nice, except they didn't have a patio and a one-bedroom for my mom at the right price. The dining area was really nice, and the surroundings were quiet and peaceful. They offered services like most independent living places, and provided meals and activities. The facilities were very nice.

I liked Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver. It was a small facility, which was a plus in my book. They had a nice fireplace room. They didn't have nearly as big a library or activity room as others, but it's a lot less expensive. There weren't quite as many amenities. The people couldn't have been nicer. The dining area was very nice. The best thing that they had was very good people. Everybody knows everybody. There's a great focus on interactions. The staff was very caring and great.

I thought Kamlu Retirement Inn would be perfect for my mother. You can have your own caregivers come in if you want and get services as you need them, so you can stay there for a long time without having to move. The location was fine and near the hospital in the neighborhood. The food was fine and in very small portions, but the elderly don't need much.

I had a tour at Kamlu Retirement in Vancouver. The place was nice and clean, and the food smelled good. I looked at a small studio room. What I liked best about the place was that everybody was friendly and really care. I just hope they are not that expensive.

Kamlu Retirement was very clean and the décor was nice. The people were friendly, and we liked that they have couples that live on-site. The food was good as well.

I found Kamlu through Caring.com. Kamlu had an opening when I wanted to move, that's why I'm here. Everything is just fine. The food is good. I've got a studio apartment, which is satisfactory for myself and my two small dogs. It is quite comfortable. They have bingo and games and they go different places and what-not, but I just haven't gotten into those yet. They have a large dining room and I get three meals a day. The food is quite satisfactory. The staff members are very kind people too.

We visited Kamlu Retirement Inn-Vancouver for our mother. It was an interesting place, but it was remote from my sister who's the person who would be the most intimately involved in keeping track of how our mother is doing, so we felt that it was not appropriate. The staff appeared to be competent, and the people with whom we spoke were helpful. Everything was clean. It seemed to be a good place, but as we say, the location was simply not appropriate.

My mother currently lives in Kamlu. It is fine. It is a nice place to live. However, I just want to get my mother in a facility where she can transition to assisted living, and Kamlu does not have that capability; that's why we're looking somewhere else. She likes Kamlu; there is nothing wrong with it other than the food. Food is pretty restricted. A lot of people complained about the food. However, everything else is fine. The rooms are OK. They have little kitchenette and what-have-you. They have different sizes for different places. The facility is older. My mother is OK there. She likes it. What they could improve on the selection of food and cleaning the floors. They have housekeeping provided in their rent, but they don't really clean the floors.

My mother was at Kamlu Retirement Inn. It wasn’t a facility for intensive care, but for independent living. Some people drove their own cars, and it was kind of like an apartment. They have people who come up to their rooms and clean them. The staff were very good at making sure everything was all right. With their activities, every day they have something going on. They have a bus that would take you shopping if you wanted to go.
