My Mom-in-law is at Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance and it's been a wonderful experience. The staff has been excellent and very, very thoughtful. It is well-staffed. It's a beautiful, friendly, and an open environment. They have a lot of beautiful windows and beautiful grounds. She loves her meals. They have good activities. They were having a car show the day she moved in and that was cool.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance. I thought the whole place was very, very nice. The gardens were beautiful. Everything was gorgeous. The staff was very friendly. It was a very clean and very attractive facility. You have to walk from the cottages to the main building, which would not be very good in the wintertime to get a meal.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance had a pretty good open environment, but it was the only place that had a nursing home type of smell where it's like they cover up some of these accidents on the floor and it doesn't quite clean up. They have offered me to come and have lunch with them, but I haven't taken them up on it because I rule them out pretty much right away because of the nursing home smell. The rooms were nice. They were sufficiently big enough for what I'm looking for, specifically one-bedrooms, and they were a good size. Overall, the facility layout was pretty good. They just need to do a better job of cleaning up after somebody had an accident in the area.

I went out to Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance. I got the wrong date, but they gave me a tour anyway. But they said they wanted $500 to be on the waiting list. I liked that they have more activities. The staff were prompt, alert, friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and structure of the building was great. It was topnotch. The atmosphere was friendly. Some seniors knew who I was because they knew my sister and my mother. The dining area was perfect. It was clean and it was organized.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance seemed to have pretty much everything like the other facility, but the price was $300 more. The rooms had refrigerators there, but I would have to get a microwave if I was going to use that. They were good. It's just that the price was a little bit out of my range.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance. The outside is beautiful and very peaceful. The inside is a little dated. It's older. I saw individual rooms, and they seemed nice but dated. The staff member who accommodated me was great. She was very friendly and very responsive. I really liked her. It seemed like people were really enjoying each other's company. I think that the food was plentiful. I think it was kind of average institutional food. They had a library, an exercise room, and a church service area. They had a lot of places in the building for different activities.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was just an independent living center. So for seniors that needed assisted provision, that was more out-of-pocket. It was a nice facility, but it was more on the higher end of cost and it wouldn't have been a good fit. It seemed to be geared more toward military retirees, which I was not aware of, and my dad is not a former military. The facility has two levels. You had to go down to the lower level of their restaurant and there was only one elevator to use. So, that kind of slowed down going down and/or up because there were so many people that happened to go there during the end of lunchtime. I thought that was kind of an inconvenience, especially even though it's independent living, there were a lot of people with walkers, and the other option to get up was a flight of stairs. That would not work for my parents. I got to view one of the rooms and it was a nice little one-room apartment. The closet space was nice, which surprised me. The outside appearance wasn't very impressive, but they were kind of going through a little renovation. The inside looked well-kept. It was very nicely decorated inside, but it just didn't present a homey feel. The person that did the tour was new. She hadn't been in that position very long.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was very pleasant. The people were very nice. I spoke to some of the residents and they were very pleased with what was going on. They had a huge list of activities. The facilities were clean and of a very appropriate size. The units were very comfortable. In my opinion, their storage was just not enough. Their closets and so on were not what I would want.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was very nice and very large. The tour was excellent. The person that took us around was very thorough and very pleasant. The facility was beautiful. The atmosphere was very nice. The negative is that they only have one very small elevator for three floors of living. I know someone that moved in there and moved into a third floor apartment. She needed to use the elevator, and there is only one elevator for the entire facility. The elevator is small for two people in wheelchairs. Apparently, people got very irritated with her because she needed to take things up to the third floor and unload them, so she was monopolizing the elevator when trying to move in. That was a concern to me. They have lots of stairs, but my knees don't always like stairs. One of the bigger concerns was being confined to one elevator in the facility. The place was very pleasant, very clean, and very nice. The apartment that they had available was a third floor apartment, and I was concerned about the elevator. It was very organized. I just had a couple of things that I want that they didn't offer.

I was very favorably impressed with Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance. I was just about to sign in and I thought all things over and I decided to stay where I was, but I would recommend that facility to anyone. It's a very impressive building to be in. It houses a lot of people, but it's only got one little elevator, which seemed strange. Upkeep and condition were very well done. The staff during the tour was very satisfactory. I liked dealing with her. I had a delightful midday meal and met three of my old friends there, so there were lots of reasons to stay there, but I just changed my mind. The dining area was impressive. It's like you were in a nice hotel, but the price was a little higher than I wanted to pay. They had a library. They had a system where you could jump on the little bus and go on a tour and they had that kind of thing going on all the time. You didn't even have to wait once a week. The staff was very good. The people that, for example, served the lunch knew everybody's name and were very cordial.

Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was great. They were very knowledgeable and very accommodating, and I liked what I saw. It was perfect. It was extremely clean. The grounds were perfect. They were just well laid out and well taken care of. There were a lot of different things that you could do. There were a lot of activities, exercise rooms, game nights, books, and a movie theater. The rooms were large and well laid out and had lots of storage. Everything seemed very convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have a garden, a greenhouse, and lots of paths to walk on. They're right close to Port Defiance Park, so there are lots of areas to visit and they're close to shopping, doctors, the hospital, museums, movie theaters, and the Symphony. There are a lot of things available.

The staff at Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance was very nice. They have small cottages that you can get rather than an apartment, so I like that. The person who gave the tour was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I looked at a 2-bedroom cottage, it was fairly small, about 950 square feet. The dining area was nice and the location is excellent, it's by the park. I saw scheduled activities quite often during the week and they had a bus that they would take people on excursions.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Point Defiance yesterday. We liked the place. It seems like a pretty awesome place for my mom. They provide meals. They provide laundry service once a week for linen. There are activities that are planned. There's a library, a laundry room that's right next to the unit that she would be in. Everyone seemed friendly, and the person that toured us was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and was very patient. It was great. She can live as independently as she would like, but when she does need more assistance, activities of daily living like doing showering or meds, if she needs that kind of help, they can offer that support. When the time comes, they also offer the emergency response, like a life alert that is part of their package. I looked at their menu and the chef that they have there has been there for 17 years. The facility is beautiful, it's very well kept, and the grounds are very nice.

I had a very nice tour of Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma. The staff was very nice, very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The rooms were large, spacious, and nicely laid out. I liked them. The dining room wasn't open at the time. They have bingo and gatherings. I like that in the open dining area, they had a grand piano; they have musical entertainment periodically. They also had a fitness room that had gym equipment in it. They had lots of walking trails in a very pretty wooded area. They have a little pond, a nice walking area, a nice big outdoor patio, puzzles, card games, and things for people to play.

My father moved into the Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma. The people are really friendly and attentive. It's got a great atmosphere and the grounds are gorgeous. The food is quite good. The staff is great, they're friendly, and they're attentive. It's a good experience. He's got a very nice room, it has a beautiful view of the courtyard, and the duck pond in the woods just around the place in the park.

I visited Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma. You could go to independent living or assisted living, but they did not have a kitchen. I think they had a little tiny refrigerator. I don't think they had a microwave. They didn't have anything to cook on, so I wasn't feeling like I was really ready for that. They brought meals to your door, which I thought was a good idea. I just didn't feel like I was ready for that. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. She kept calling me, and they went out of their way to try and lower the payments. I told them I probably wouldn't eat breakfast and I don't eat lunch. Dinner would be the only thing I would probably eat. So they lowered their price as far as the move in price, and they even said that they would put a hibachi or something for me to cook on. They went out of their way to try and get me over to their side. It had a large dining room. They said they have top of the line chefs, which was interesting. It was clean, but it was just an older building. The floors squeaked when you walked. They had an elevator and everything I was looking for.

My dad has been in Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma for two years now. It's a nice place to be; my dad has really enjoyed living there. However, he needs more things done health-wise now -- he's not independent anymore. We chose it because it was in a nice area, it was well-kept, and nice individuals worked there. We were very satisfied with the place when he first moved in. The staff is wonderful, and the food is OK. Before COVID-19 started, they did have activities at that time, up until February 1st. They had nothing going on because they didn't want anybody to communicate with each other. Now they are starting to go back into it. They haven't started the dining room back up yet, but he still gets meals in a plastic container, and he can go to exercise class now.

I have moved into Solstice at Tacoma. My room is nice. It is good and big. I could get everything in and I can get around in it. The staff members are wonderful people. It is so much better than where I was. You come up with a problem, a complaint, or a need, and they're on it right away. As far as cleanliness, the laundry rooms don't get cleaned as often as I would like to see, but I clean it when I go in there. However, the attitude and the helpfulness of the staff far outweighs anything else as far as I'm concerned. All of the staff members are wonderful people. The food is great and you always get a choice. They're wonderful meals. It is an older building so it is not quite as well kept as perhaps a brand new one, but it is definitely clean. The activities are only a four because I don't participate that much. When they have wheel of fortune, I play that one, but other than that, I don't participate that much. Also it is expensive, just like everywhere else.

Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma was very nice. It's an older building, and it's being remodeled. We had a friend that lived there. The residents were friendly and introduced themselves. The lunch we had was adequate. The staff member during the tour was very polite, and the housekeepers were delightful. The apartments were clean and had everything you needed. The dining area was good. The food, the coffee, and the dessert were good.

Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma was overall pretty good. The apartments were nice. The facility was looking older, but they told us of the remodeling efforts that were beginning soon. They had karaoke, some other activities, and a library. The staff was busy. The dining area looked clean and orderly. We saw a garden out in the concourse type area maintained by one of the residents.

My mother is in Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma and so far, so good. The food is good and they've been very accommodating with a lot of her demands like having a tub instead of just the shower. They have the gym and they try to keep the people engaged. I like that it's really big and open and bright.

I liked Solstice Senior Living at Tacoma. It had the kind of services available that I am most interested in. I was amazed at how large the units were and the wide variety of sizes. The food was very good. The dining room was nice and well equipped. The staff was fantastic and very attentive. They had sufficient number of staff on duty that no one had to wait for their food. It was better service than what you would find in a restaurant.

It was a little awkward to get to because they were doing construction in the street that day. The tour was OK, but the place was small. The staff member was OK, but she was really in a hurry.

We really liked it. It was a long way from where we lived right now, but it was very nice. We got a meal there, and it was good too. The people felt fairly content with where they were. I was really impressed with them.

We visited and it’s very attractive. It didn’t have an assisted living facility that our long-term care insurance would supplement. It looks very comfortable but it serves people who are able to live more independently than we are. We didn’t have any real objections to it as far as being a nice facility. They have lovely grounds, and the people were kind. For the people it was suited for, it’s a 5. It is well known and well thought of.

I am here. I like that the food is nice, and it has very nice people here. I have a little studio apartment. It is very small, but it is neat, and I am pretty well satisfied with it. There are quite a few activities. They have card playing, bridge, pinochle, bingo, puzzle, and karaoke, and they had a beanbag ball group. It is a nice place, and I really enjoy it here.

The people in here are independent and pretty healthy. The staff are wonderful, and whatever I need, they help do it. They have one and two-bedroom rooms and cottages that you can rent. The meals are good, and the dining room is a cafeteria type thing. We got a walking club, bean bag baseball -- and we compete with other people from other places -- cards, bingo, sing-along, karaoke on Friday nights -- they serve beer and wine -- and on Saturday nights, they have a social where people meet each other and they serve drinks.
