My mom was a resident of Royal Park Health and Rehabilitation. It's very clean. Unobstructed, I guess I'd have to say almost bleak, but the staff and management were just wonderful. I think they're grossly understaffed. My mom liked the food. She is very picky. She has no problem with the meal. The staff was wonderful, and it didn't matter whether or not you were dealing with an R.N. or the janitor. They're just lovely, nice people. They care about their patients.

Avoid this place like the plague. My mother was sent there after fracturing her femur. Thank goodness my mom had her kids to advocate for her, because this place lacks in every area. We had to tell them multiple times that she was not supposed to take certain medications, because they kept trying to give them to her. We repeatedly told them about her dietary requests, and they repeatedly brought her food that was inedible, so we had to bring food to make sure she wouldn’t starve. She requested pain medication and had to wait more than 6 hours because they “forgot.” And the icing on this awful cake was that she received a letter from the business office regarding her coverage. The letter specifically stated that she would receive ample notice if her coverage would no longer cover her stay. She got a voicemail while she was at her surgical follow up appointment telling her that she had to be out in 2 days! TWO DAYS! That was not nearly enough time for us to find suitable accommodations, so she got the privilege of paying out of pocket for additional days while we found her a bed in an adult family home (which we have to pay out of pocket because she is still wheelchair bound and can’t live alone, but that’s another story). They did not transfer her medications to the new home, and they provided zero assistance in getting transportation. If it had been up to them, they would have shoved her out the door and let her fend for herself. I shudder to think what would have happened had she not had family to advocate for her. My recommendation? Don’t send your loved ones here if you care about them or their well-being.

This place is neither warm nor caring. The staff member guarding the door should never be representing this facility. It operates like a prison. Visitors must make an appointment to visit their love ones, however getting that appointment is difficult as only one person grants those appointments. You must be escorted to the room and away from the room. Yet finding staff to do that requires long wait times.

My loved one loved Royal Park and was there for rehab for a month. He loved the people and nursing staff there because they took good care of him. He loved the food. It was great.

I was not cared for correctly. They had no diabetic menu. I even spoke with the nutritionist and they just simply don't have one. They placed the wrong type of potty chair next to my bed and it collapsed and sprained my back. Then they didn't want to take responsibility so didn't get me help for my back until 4 days later when I told them they couldn't just ignore what had happened. Then they so overdosed me with pain meds that I passed out in the middle of physical therapy. The food is not very good. They don't use real cheese etc. I would never go there again and strongly recommend you don't take your loved ones there if you truly love them.

They seem very nice and helpful at Royal Park Health and Rehabilitation. They also seem to be very caring. I spoke with the events manager, and we had a long chat about Fred’s likes and dislikes. They seem to be very willing to make his stay as pleasant as possible. The food is kind of institutionalized, but it is fine. I would recommend it to somebody who is looking for a rehab facility. I think it is a pretty good place.

Royal Park took Medicaid so I placed my father there. The dining area was a big kitchen with tables. The food looks really good and smells good. Dad is in the memory care which is a lock down facility and this is what he needs. Everything was clean.

I find the care given at this facility to be very good, in fact we've had no concerns or complaints of any kind. The staff is warm and willing to work with us to provide my Mother with all her needs. They were wonderfully patient and kind when my Mother (upon first entering the facility) was disoriented and very angry. My Mother is content now, her usual sweet self, but what I found to be remarkable is that they treated her as though she were even when she wasn't, it's like they knew she would come back to herself in time. The facility is small compared to many, but this suits my Mother and us very well.
