My husband moved into Solstice Senior Living at Renton. Their facility is very comfortable. The dining hall, the whole building, the room, and everything else were upgraded. They had new furniture. The furniture you have to bring, such as the bed and chairs. They had a bathroom and a kitchenette. The management, the director, and the caregiver were very good. The meal was good. The building was bright and functional. They are full of activities. Almost every Sunday they have a tour of the Seattle area. They have a very reasonable rate.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Renton. I was really impressed that it was so light. There were a lot of windows and the hallway was well lit. It looked very clean. They had dining. They offer three meals every day. They had a little gym. Their hallways are wide with rails, so if somebody is walking without a walker, they can hold on to the rail to stabilize themselves. They had benches for people to sit and either visit or take a rest. The staff was very friendly.

Solstice Senior Living at Renton was so nice. The rooms were nice, and they had everything that you needed at your fingertips. It was just amazing to me how it was set up. They had entertainment. They had a garden where you could go out and sit and just kind of do a little gardening. Before noon, they would have a little session if there were any concerns, if there was anything that you needed, or if you wanted to socialize. They had a little game room. They had a computer room. It was like heaven because they did everything for you. You didn't have to lift a finger. They had people to clean your room. They had people to do your laundry. They gave me a little snack, and that was nice. There was gingerbread which I haven't had in a long time. It was made with their special recipe. The staff was nice and helpful. When I walked in the front door, I saw my name on the billboard. It was all printed out. The lady who assisted me was so sweet. She even called to check on me just in general. Not to see if I was going to move in, but just to see how I was doing and if I needed anything that she could help me with. The place was very clean. They had a winding staircase and a baby grand piano. You have your own apartment, but you don't have to cook because they have that downstairs. You go downstairs to the cafeteria and then they have 3 meals a day and a snack. Or you could go down and have coffee or tea whenever you wanted to. They even had parking and you could have visitors.

The rooms at Solstice Senior Living at Renton were tiny. I didn't like the floor plans because there was a lot of wasted space, especially in the cottages. The 2-bedroom apartment that I looked at was the same floor plan as the cottage. They didn't have a washer/dryer inside the apartments, which I would have preferred, but the cottages do. The staff was very nice. I saw the laundry room, the exercise room, and the cafeteria. The food that I had there could be better.

Solstice Senior Living at Renton has three floors, and these floors are designed around like an atrium in the middle. So when you go up to the third floor you could look down, and it was just gorgeous. They gave me so many opportunities to move in there, but the problem is that I just couldn't afford it, it was way too expensive. The place was just so beautiful. I really wanted to live there, but it was way out of my range. The lady who gave the tour was so friendly and nice, and she bent over backward to help get me in there. She did amazing. The room where they provide the meals was almost empty because they had gone back to practicing COVID safety precautions. I saw people come in and grab their meals. It was in a little box, and then they took their meals with them and went back to their rooms. They had a beautiful chandelier and it was really, really, really pretty. They also have activities inside the place, they have tours, exercise, and a beauty salon.

I found Solstice Senior Living at Renton very pleasant. The tour went very well. It is a very comfortable facility. My only problem with it is it's just in the wrong location, otherwise, I would have very likely selected it. The rooms were of a nice size. They were bright. I liked them very much. We walked past the workout or gym area, the beauty salon, and through the dining room. The staff were very pleasant and very helpful.

The facility at Solstice Senior Living at Renton looks great. If you're not interested in physical fitness, it is great. The staff we met during the tour were very friendly. The apartment was nice and very spacious. The dining room was very attractive. They have a big atrium that was very full of light; it was nice. If you want assisted living, you can bring people into your own place.

Solstice Senior Living at Renton had done some recent renovations. I was really impressed with the renovations. It looked really, really nice. I liked the buildings and the maintenance. The apartments were very nice. They were small, but they were very nice. I was especially impressed by the staff who gave me the tour. She did a great job. They had a place for gardening. The dining area was really nice. They had somebody playing the piano while everybody ate, so that was pretty cool.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Renton and they were very accommodating, they were very attentive, they made sure that they understood what we were after, as opposed to just trying to sell us on their community. When we were there, it was not that busy in the main room so we didn't see a lot of activity. They had a few things like a library, a card room, they have a restaurant, and all of that. The rooms were set up pretty nice, and they were well laid out. The staff was awesome as far as checking back with us and trying to make sure they've understood what we wanted. The overall place was clean, nice, and welcoming.

My mother stayed at Solstice Senior Living at Renton for ten years. She had a nice life there. She had a nice studio apartment. They had the meals and all that, but because of COVID, everybody was sequestered in their room so they had to serve meals to the doors. The meals were kind of a disappointment because by the time they got them, they were already cold. I would say it's a very clean place. They didn't have any COVID episodes at all, so it's pretty amazing. For activities they had Scrabble games and Zumba. I think they did a pretty good job; there is always room for improvement, but I'd give them a high rating. There was a beauty salon that was open a couple of times a week. They had a very small exercise room. They also had a small activity room, which was just a room with tables and board games. My mom was hard of hearing so she had her own television. She would watch TV in her room more than out when they had movie nights because she couldn't hear it very well. I think the people were very nice, although the staff who clean the rooms don't do much. They just come in, and they vacuum. They're given a limited time to clean, though, so there's that. They're given like twenty minutes to clean each room, so it could be a little rough. I also think the janitorial staff was pressed by the management a little too hard sometimes. They also only had one elevator for a three-story facility. My mom had a rate lock so her monthly rent stopped going up a few years ago. I would say the place is pretty pricey for what you get as far as not having any kind of nurse available. For me, they should have a nurse at the front office 24/7, but they do not. The reception was there until eleven in the evening, and then they were on their own. The good thing is that they issued this life-button-alert necklace to everyone, and the company paid for that, which was really good. People used that to call 911, but nobody was with them 24/7 as far as staff, so I think that's odd.

I loved Solstice Senior Living at Renton. I did an in-person tour, the people were extremely friendly, the residents even welcomed me into their little discussion groups that they were having. It was very clean, lots of activities, but it was too expensive for what I wanted. Otherwise, that would be high on my list. The room seemed large, and one of the studios was almost a one-bedroom, so it was really big, but everything about it was nice. What stood out were the facility for one thing, and the friendliness of the staff. The residents were the other big thing that got me.

Solstice seemed like a very good place. It was very clean and very organized. The staff member took us on a tour. They answered all of our questions. We talked to the residents; they're all very happy with the property. They have individual apartments and a dining hall. They have many activities.

I liked the way it looked and it was within budget, so that helped. I liked that it had meals and activities. Now that we're in here, I wished they'd change the activities so there's a little bit more variety. They could do a little bit better on that. The meals are pretty good and my mom gets plenty of help -- which is nice -- so if something goes wrong, she can just go down to the managers and tell them. They've been really good with taking care of whatever is needed. The staff is really good.

I moved in about 2 weeks ago. So far, the staff is very nice and accommodating, and the other residents are nice, warm, and friendly people. I feel comfortable here. The food is very good, and there is a large variety. It is well prepared, well thought out, and nutritious, so I am satisfied. There are numerous activities like daily exercise classes, blood pressure check 2 or 3 times a week, and then they have movies or some kind of entertainment or some kind of games usually in the evening. They will play games in the afternoon such as beanbag baseball or things that are appropriate for such age groups.

It is an excellent facility. The staff member who assisted me with the tour was very helpful. The dining room looked good. I saw a nice one-bedroom unit that had a deck off of it. Overall, it was a great facility.
