We went to Silver Creek by Bonaventure. My mother has been there for two months now. It was great. I wouldn't put her in there if it weren't good. I think the food's fine, too. A lot of the elders are complaining a little bit about it, but it's good. I had their salmon and what's like a beef stroganoff. The beef was like steak strips. My mother's room is nice. They're all kind of remodeled, and they look great. I have no complaints about the cleanliness. The maintenance seems to be fine. Everything works for my mother, and they're very attentive to her. The staff members were fantastic and more attentive than I thought they would be. The care has been great. The whole place has been good. No complaints. They need more staff, but other than that, they have been fantastic. With regards to activities, there's always something going on there. There was an Elvis impersonator, and they had little bands come in. If you need some more assistance or help, they have a little community fair going on that. They have a little bizarre thing that you walk into and there's stuff on the tables, and if there's something you need, you can take it. If you want to get rid of something, you can leave it there. They have a ton of stuff going on all the time. They have a library room, a game room, an activities room, an exercise room, and an area where they can go sew or paint.

My brother lived at Silver Creek Bonaventure for a year. The facility was amazing. It just couldn't have been a better fit for him. It worked perfectly. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms were extremely nice. They had a nice community center. They had gardening, arts, and music. They did a lot of different activities that kept the residents busy. It was nice. The staff was wonderful. They went above and beyond. They offer three meals a day and snacks. They had a beautiful dining room. It was very reasonable. It was very comfortable and homey. He loved being there. He enjoyed it.

I like Silver Creek by Bonaventure. They all seemed knowledgeable and friendly. The grounds were very well-maintained. The rooms have all been remodeled, so they're very nice. The residents were busy. The exercise room was busy. It looked like they were playing cards or something. A lot of people were sitting around talking to each other. The staff was very friendly and very cordial. The facility was well-maintained. I was very impressed with it.

My father is doing all right at Silver Creek by Bonaventure, but they are not as responsive to some things as I would like to see. That's probably my only complaint right now. Other than that, he's doing fairly well there. He just misses his wife and she's going to be moving there in April. Silver Creek needs to be more responsive to our needs, like faxing his med list and we requested that quite a while ago and they're just not doing it. I'm a little upset with things like that, but only on necessary paperwork. If my dad hits the button and he needs something for his colostomy or something like that, they seem pretty responsive on that. The administrative office is the one I kind of have a beef with. I like it because it's clean and modern, and it's in a great location. The staff seems to be very nice. I like the staff. The nurses or the CNAs are very nice and very responsive. I haven't had any bad words from my dad with regards to that. The rooms are clean. The facility is very clean and very modern. I love the halls; they're very wide and easily accessible for people in wheelchairs or walkers. He had no complaints about the food. You get a lot. He's not a big guy, but he said he gets a lot of food. He's very happy with it. They have quite a few activities. They had a St. Patrick's Day celebration. They have an Easter egg color contest coming up. It's up to the residents if they want to participate, but they encourage you to participate. They have activities quite frequently. I rate the nursing staff a 5 and the administrative staff a 3. It's very clean, very upkept, and it doesn't smell. They're doing well with him. The thing that kind of set Silver Creek above the rest is they can change his colostomy bag, so that was a huge plus for us.

We toured Silver Creek by Bonaventure a year ago. It was okay. I kind of had prepped them because I ended up taking my mother-in-law there, and it didn't kind of end up going very well. I had prepped them and had tried to get them to do certain things because I wanted her to like it, and we ended up wearing her out and she was turned off. I was kind of bummed because I prepped them in a certain way and it didn't end up happening the way I wanted it to. They tried, and the staff was nice. They were just trying so hard, too hard because they showed us way too many rooms and she was exhausted by the time we were up and down all these halls. It was a little bit too much of a hard sell. It was super close to where we live. It's like just down the street from us. The apartments were nice. I was looking at a much bigger place, those rooms were way bigger. They had patios, decks off the rooms. She just wasn't interested. They had tons of amenities. They have these beautiful cafes and a bar and a bistro. I know they had a garden that the residents worked on.

Silver Creek by Bonaventure looks like a five-star hotel. They even had a cocktail lounge or a bar with a pool table, and happy hour was like 5:00. It was the most expensive facility I looked at, and pretty much unaffordable to an average person. The staff who gave the tour was well dressed. I met two people and both were nice.

We looked at the Bonaventure of Puyallup. They didn't have cottages for us to look at. We saw an assisted living apartment and we also saw an independent living apartment that had a balcony. It was in the corner of the building, two-bedroom, two-bath, with a full kitchen and a nice balcony. This place was beautiful. It's relatively new. It's very nicely appointed. It's like walking into a hotel. They had everything you would want to do. They had a two-lane bowling alley. They had a movie theater, they had a juice bar, they had a pool table, a shuffleboard, and a little bar set off in one area. They had several huge areas where they were doing puzzles and had books, we met the activity director, and she was super nice. They had a nice gym. We had lunch there. We ate there and we had a lovely chicken salad lunch. They were having tacos that day. That was their choice, and then they had some other choices. They didn't have any cottages available, which is what my mom was looking for so they suggested she get on a waiting list. But this place was more expensive than any of the others, but it was everything you'd want. They had a nice hair salon, the gal there does nails too. It was like being in a nice hotel, or a cruise ship. It was beautiful, and everybody was friendly. We talked to quite a few people there. The food was really good, and then they brought us some cookies and we both had a soda. The cottages had garages. But even though they did have independent living in the building, there was no covered parking for anyone there. My mom was kind of looking for a place with a small garage.

I visited Silver Creek. The apartments are probably 500 square feet or smaller, but the price was very high compared to the other community. They were just trying to make a sales pitch, and talking dishonestly about other places they knew I was looking at, and having incorrect information. I've known people that have family members there, they kept forgetting to give them their medications on time, and poor care is what I'm hearing from some people that have had people live there. I found that out after my visit. So my visit wasnt influenced by that. It just confirmed my decision.

Silver Creek by Bonaventure is very nice and very clean. The rooms are very comfortable and the community is very friendly. My father has a one-bedroom apartment. There are also studios and two-bedrooms. The staff is extremely polite, professional, and very friendly. They have happy hour, a theater, and lots of activities throughout the day. Every 30 minutes to an hour there's a new activity; they have activities all day long. There's a library and an exercise room. He's only getting one meal a day, but you can buy whatever you want.

My brother-in-law is at Silver Creek by Bonaventure. It has been very good. Everybody is friendly. They treat you well and make you feel welcome. There is no standoffishness of any type. They're out there upfront and very nice to you. The rooms and dining room are beautiful. My brother-in-law is very happy with their food. However, they could use to have more staff to wait on people faster. There is something going on all the time. My brother-in-law said that he could stay busy the whole day long if he wanted.

I did not like Silver Creek because of the smell, the building was a lot older, and the price -- you didn’t get thing for your dollar. I wasn’t impressed with the staff that we saw. When you walked in, there was a smell and because the building was older and not up to what we expected for the price, we didn’t like it.

Mom has been in Silver Creek for one and a half years now. It's well run, well managed, and has qualified staff. She is not able to take advantage of the amenities, but they have a lot of events, like a Christmas party, holiday parties, and outings. My mother takes her meals in, and I think the food could be improved for the age group they're serving. They have shopping and take you to doctors' appointments on a bus.

I liked Silver Creek by Bonaventure, but I thought it was too far out for me and my doctor. Otherwise, it was a nice place. The apartments looked good and very nice with a nice living area. It was off of a very busy road. I had a good lunch there. The menu was fine.

Silver Creek wasn’t too responsive to me, as far I was concerned. I can be forthcoming and direct sometimes on my questions with people, and they didn’t seem to like that but other than that, it was a nice facility. It was new, offered all of the amenities, and had nice grounds. I went for lunch there, and it the meals were very well prepared, and the food was very good. They more activities than you could participate in throughout the day. They seemed to be very aggressive as far as keeping the activities for the senior citizens.

So far, everything's good at Silver Creek by Bonaventure. They have a dining room, an activity room, programs where they have entertainment nightly, and bingo. They also have a plant room and take little trips to the shopping malls and restaurants. The food is good, and Mom likes it. The service is like a restaurant menu with waitresses who provide three meals a day. The staff is very good. The nurses and care staff are really good, too. This place offers more as far as help for the residents in the assisted living.

Silver Creek by Bonaventure was a very friendly, clean place. They seemed to have a lot of activities for their residents. The rooms were nice. The office staff were very helpful and answered all of my questions. I want to live there myself.

Silver Creek was very nice. Everyone was fine. They were very nice and very informative. I didn’t get the chance to see an apartment because nothing was open at the time for us to see. The facility was very nice.

I can’t get much better at Silver Creek than just totally amazing. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. The executive director is just the sweetest. She’s personable and professional, and the staff she introduced me to was outstanding. They provide transportation to doctor appointments, and they come into downtown Tacoma area, which is where my healthcare providers are, so it was a definite plus for me. It’s a beautiful facility with beautiful grounds set in a very inviting and appealing location. The activities are outstanding. The place is impeccably maintained, and it’s set out in a really comfortable way; it’s not dull, dreary, or dark. Whatever apartment you’d be in the facility, you would feel like you were in a good community or in a home that would be a good place to be.

Our second choice would have been Silver Creek. We went there once and looked at it . They were very friendly. It was very nice in there. It was not exactly what we were looking for, but for what it was, it was nice. We did eat there, and the food was alright. It was nice that you could go there as being independent, and as you get older and need more help, you just gradually merge into the other parts of it because they have everything right there. I basically remember that it was really nice, and you wouldn't have to move again, but it was awfully expensive. This was a secure place because everything was all in one building. It was very limited as to the income that people have. It is for the middle class and up.

My mom has been placed in Silver Creek. When she pushes the risk button if she needs to use the restroom, they're there in pretty decent amount of time. Occasionally, it takes a little bit longer, but for the most part they're right there. The staff is very friendly and very happy. The people around mom seem to be very happy, so I think it's a good thing. She's in a 1-room little apartment. It's very clean. They just put a new carpet in when she got there. The food is awesome. They've got waiters and waitresses that come out and take their order, and they've got choices. She's only been there for less than a month. They've got bingo, they have outings, and if she needs to go shopping, they've got shuttles that take them. The place is also close to my dad.

I love Silver Creek by Bonaventure. This is my favorite. I only know what I know from visiting it. We did not choose it because it was far away, but it was my favorite. I liked everything except the location. I like the staff. I like the fact that when you walk in the residents were happy, smiling, and enjoying themselves and not just there. That was very impressive. They showed me around, and everything was clean and smelled good. All the places start to get the smell. It didn't have that, so it was kind of nice. All carpeting didn't have any wear pattern. They have two different dining rooms. I was really impressed by the whole thing. They did have a library, but I'm unaware if they have an exercise area. They did have a pool table and a room where they play bingo. They have a beauty and barber salon in-house. I loved it. They have a lot. The day that I visited it, they were getting ready for a Luau Party for the residents. Everybody was watching them setup, it was super exciting, and it was fun.

The studio apartments of Silver Creek by Bonaventure were pretty small. The dining area was nice. We ate lunch there one day, and the food was passable; it was good, nothing spectacular, but average. They had game rooms, cards, and that type of stuff. I think their studio apartment was small, and the price was too high for what you get.

I checked a 1-bedroom at Silver Creek. We went there for a happy hour. The dining area was like a restaurant. My mother-in-law has been very resistant to the place. We're trying to acclimate her before we put her in there. Yesterday they had live music that came in, which freaked her out. She can't stand it. She's 90 years old, but she's fine than most of them there with all their walkers and air tanks. So that was not a good response. We were hoping for a lively group of drunken senior citizens where she could just laugh. Actually it was less depressing than some that we've been to. I think it's reminiscent of almost a hotel kind of atmosphere. What we like about is they have a lot congregating areas, so if you have people over you can go to different areas that they have set up around the facility, so the architecture was really thought out. We like that a lot. The people are nice and very responsive to the clientele.

I visited Silver Creek because I lived around the area and I knew about it because we had done a search for my aunt and uncle about three years ago. Silver Creek looked nice and it was clean. I liked that the staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to care about the people who were there. I saw the rooms. They were very nice and spacious. They were also close to shopping. They had a lot of activities, but I didn't get a chance to see them. I would recommend it. I knew it was a good place, but my aunt and uncle couldn't afford it.

The facility looked like a regular apartment building. It was nice on the interior and up to date. The people were surprised that the woman was out in the road. In front of her they explained she had just taken her sleep medication and suffered from Alzheimers. The elderly woman went in to confess to me that she was treated poorly by the staff and that they were "mean" to her. The staff members laughed and just said she was crazy. I felt that the woman was very disrespected and they needed to take her more seriously. The fact that this woman easily left and was out on the road means they need more security/nurses checking up on her for her own safety.
