I live in Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living and I like the community. I like the fact that it's newer and well-kept up. The food is OK. Sometimes it's really good. There's pizza and spaghetti. They have something different going on every day. There's bingo and poker, and they play Mexican Train. Every week we have mocktails and then we have a special food item once a week prepared by them. It's expensive to live here, but the staff is excellent and the facilities are nice. It is almost looks like a hotel.

I came to take a tour on a day they had a small open house. I was invited by the staff who I’ve kept in contact with, they were extremely friendly and down to earth. The apartments seemed clean and safe. I can’t comment on the food as I didn’t get to eat lunch but the smell was amazing. It smelled like they actually used seasoning! We have a large family and a lot of other decisions to make but this community was by far the best we’ve seen.

We went to Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living. We went to a barbecue there and checked it out. They're a 5 everywhere. The only thing we didn't want to do was move into a community that was in the middle of a housing area. The staff was great, and the food was great. They even had a little group come and sing when they invited us to the picnic, but that was part of the process. We saw the different rooms and the different choices of activities, but they weren't doing them at that moment because they were doing the barbecue. We walked around and we saw which room did what. They offered a lot of good things. They had exercise classes, and they had a little chapel you could go in. Whatever you wanted to do, I think they had room for it. We had a barbecue and it was great.

Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living was very friendly and very active. The grounds were nice. Everybody was active, and everybody called everybody by their name. I was very impressed with them. However, the rooms were smaller. The person who accommodated us was very nice, very helpful, and knowledgeable. She called everybody by name, and everybody talked to her. They were very active as far as activities were concerned. They had a movie theater, a full kitchen downstairs where you could use that, crafts that would come in, and little market things in the lobby that would happen once a week. It's very active.

My mother has moved into Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living. She had gotten a postcard and I took a tour, and I liked the people, it's well maintained, the food is good, and it has entertainment for her to join in or not. The private apartments are beautiful. The staff is very good, very kind, helpful, genuine, and caring. The dining area is beautiful. It's like fine dining almost, and the food is very good. They've got a great activity director. They've got fitness, a beauty salon, a movie theater, a game room, a billiards room, and a TV room.

When i first saw this place i knew this was home. Four years later i was lucky enough to move into my home at Julian Estates. The entire staff are like family to me and all the residents that live here. Everyone is so polite, friendly, helpful and loving. I feel as though i am home with my family. Kayla, Dimitri and Martina are so caring and made me feel like i was home before i even moved into Julian Estates. After moving in i found that all the staff are just as friendly and loving as the managers. The one thing they try do is keep you from isolating yourself. They have a variety of activities for everyone, and they work with you to find out what you're interested in and make special activities geared towards your likes. Whether you're a man or woman there is something for everyone. I love it here and i want to thank all of the staff for making me feel so welcomed.

My uncle stays here and I make it a point to visit often, at least once per month. He's always enjoyed his room, the theatre, the grounds overall, and most importantly his meals. When we originally picked out Julian estates because the biggest concern was food as he used to run a small restaurant in the South before moving here to be closer with the majority of our family. He loves the food. Though he's lived there for almost two years now, the previous 6 months have been the best experience he's had since his stay. I don't know what the company did over the last roughly half a year, but it's just the best! He tells me how he has long talks with the managers and other staff members, which was not mentioned before. He absolutely loves it there and has actually got two of his friends to move out of state, to this community. Keep up the great work, seeing my uncle being cared for like this fills my heart and I truly hope others get to experience the joy this has brought to him.

Management is rude, not helpful, does not respond quickly to issues with problems in apartments. They rush you thru breakfast, lunch and supper so they get things cleaned up.

I’m sorry to say that Julian Estates is no longer the wonderful Adult Community it was before COVID-19. There are no longer Assistant Managers, a bus driver or maintenance man. About a dozen people were displaced when the heat hit this month due to their air conditioners malfunctioning and no maintenance man on the grounds. I heard that even one of the server personnel is leaving. Also missing is the activity director. Several have come and gone within several days of hire. We are thinking of moving our parent to a different facility we went to visit today. The parent company needs to step in and bring this retirement home back to an amazing place it once was.

We are current residents of Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living and we thought we were moving into an assisted living center but we're not. They have some assistance, but it is not what I need. It's more independent living, but they have an assistance program which led me to believe that was very good but it's not. Our experience is mediocre and not very good. The presentation was really good when we were interviewing for it, but they left out too many things that I did not have enough intelligence to think about. The staff, except for management, is great. I think that the food preparation and menus could use a good working over. The apartment we got is pretty nice, but it was not designed for somebody on a wheelchair and they did not tell us that. The food is not very good. They publish a menu with fancy names of the food and you don't know what you're getting. Every breakfast morning it said, "eggs to order." So, when I first moved here, eggs to order sounded pretty good, so I ordered an omelet with mushrooms and onions and they came back and said you could have eggs to order as long as they are fried or scrambled. And the scrambled eggs, I am not 100% sure, but I think their eggs are probably not powdered but the type of eggs that when the farm harvest their eggs from the chickens the ones that break, they clean them and put them into a big bucket, and they sell it. The facilities are designed for active seniors and not for seniors that have issues. We can't participate in any activities because my wife is in a wheelchair and when they go out on activities, they don't have a van that will accommodate wheelchairs. Activities are not available to my wife. We have not been here that long, but I think the fees seem to be reasonable.

Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living was fantastic. It was clean, new at only 2 years old and very nice. I have no complaints whatsoever. They have a lot of activities planned for the folks and they were really nice.

Julian Estates was really nice. It was new and beautiful. The people were so nice. My mom really liked it. The apartment was beautiful but it was too small for her. Nevertheless, it was really nice, and there were beautiful and breath-taking views of Mount Rainier. Julian Estates was hands down our favorite. The people were nice. There was nothing I could say that wasn't perfect about this place other than the size of the rooms as I would say about every other place. Activities were great. We saw some people playing poker, and they had outings. The manager was amazing. He lived onsite and he was really nice. Everybody was really nice. The place was gorgeous.

I visited Julian Estates. I thought it was nice, but it doesn't have a lot of grounds. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful and the apartments were clean. It's fairly new. I noticed that the people were friendly and outgoing. It looked very secured to me, and they have multiple levels. I saw a two-bedroom that looked really roomy. They have buses to take them to stores.

My parents love Julian Estates because of their meals, bedding, and housekeeping. We have them wearing an alert device around their neck. There is some help on-site, too. They like independent living so much, and they've been really happy there. We like it a lot as well, but they've given up a lot of freedom there. They couldn't have a headache medicine or a vitamin without you going through them, and they couldn't sit with different people in the dining area. We can be guests for $5 for meals, and the food is good. Care has been great. We have to be careful because they're falling a lot.

This facility was beautiful! The atrium reminds me of a cruise ship and the movie theatre iwas big and the chairs comfy. The staff was so nice! We met the assistant mangers when we first arrived and they went out of their way to answer our questions and listen to our concerns. We liked the fact it was a pet friendly community but when you walk around you don't see pet hair or any signs of animals. The managers assured us that pets are not allowed to run free in the building and the pet owners have to follow certain rules. We liked that too. The dining room and food were fabulous and we liked the fact that they had menus on the tables and several choices of food to choose from. Over all I give this place 5 stars and we will be contacting Julian Estates when my mom sells her house.

Julian Estates Gracious Retirement Living recently opened. The location is pristine, and everything is brand new. The rooms were really nice. There were three different-sized studios and two or three different-sized one-bedrooms, and most of them had balconies. They had some models set up so you could see how furniture might fit in. They had exercise rooms, exercise programs, billiards table, library, and a theater with really big, nice, comfortable chairs, which was definitely an upgrade from the others we saw. The place was beautiful. They also had a really good transportation program where they had planned outings. It was in a really good central, convenient location that could get folks out and about easily.
