I have chosen Park View Villas because I knew it. I've been there before visiting people. It was very close to my house, and it matched everything I needed. I had friends there. The staff were very, very good. They have everything anyone would want in assisted living. I can get my haircut there, I can move from assisted living down toward the end of life with hospice care without moving away. I can have my family come in and spend the night in my cottage, which is big enough for what I've got. It's very, very friendly staff. They have a lot of workers. They were working on the garden area, so I would say maintenance is tip-top. The size of the unit is plenty large enough really. One cottage has the space of a normal small house. In terms of location, it's near the hospital, doctor's offices, and shopping centers, and it has a bus that takes residents once or twice a week to each of those, so it has what you need.

We chose Park View Villas. The tour was very nice. The people were very cordial and knowledgeable. The main reason we chose this is because they have individual cottages to live in, as opposed to the main building. It has been completely remodeled with new appliances and hardwood floors, and the quality of the interior was excellent, which is one thing I like very much. As far as the amenities in the building, they are very nice and very well-maintained. They had a nice dining room, health room, and hair salon. The meal was excellent, and the choices were good.

Park View Villas seemed to be very nice and the people we talked to seemed to be very caring. It looked like it was a little bit older facility, but had been pretty well maintained. It's a very strong community. The staff seemed to be treated very well by the administration and everybody seemed to be very cordial. We looked at an efficiency apartment and it had a kitchenette and a living area separate from the bedroom. It seemed to be laid out very well, but we thought that it was quite small. They had a laundry facility (which we thought was very good) and a lot of ala carte services that you could add on if you needed them. The outside grounds drew you into them. Seeing them would make you want to be outside on a nice day walking the grounds. The inside was very nice as well and was pretty well kept. The dining area was very nice and very open, too. There was a lot of light and it had generally a very happy atmosphere.

We're moving into Park View Villas. It was very friendly. It's a large community. It has over a hundred rooms. It has independent as well as assisted living. They were extremely helpful. We toured the facility for over three hours. We had lunch there also. They had a regular menu that they were choosing from that day. We're very impressed with the food and the care. We went to other places also and we compared. Although this one was a little bit further away from our home, it had excellent reviews from not only my caregivers, but from movers. We checked with a lot of people. We were very happy that we were able to get a one-bedroom ground floor. My husband's not able to walk very far and I'm in a wheelchair, so we got a room very close to the dining room; we wouldn't have to walk extreme distances. Just everything worked out really well, and we're really looking forward to it. We ate in a private dining room because we were coming in from the outside, but the dining area seemed very nice. They had just opened up their dining with the COVID restrictions, but we weren't able to eat in that facility. There were separate tables, perhaps four to a table. They were spaced apart still because of COVID regulations. It was very open and spacious. There were two choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The dining area seemed very bright, and it had a lot of windows. You could pick up snacks at any time, but it required that you ate in there. There was no food brought back to your room. Between 2:00 and 4:00, there's a cart with a woman walking by with something fresh baked for the day as well as juices. We were pleased with what we saw. We toured a one-bedroom suite. They showed us a model room which obviously had furniture that fit that room. We have a king size bed, and it fit our bed (which was very important to us). It appeared larger than what they described. It had a terrace. All rooms have a terrace off of them and being on the first floor, the outdoor area was larger. We chose a room that had beautiful trees all around it, a rhododendron bush, as well as a Japanese maple and two huge pine trees. So when you went out there, you weren't facing other condos or other apartments. It was a beautiful scene. It had a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, a stove, and an oven. It did not come with a microwave. It had more cabinet space than I really thought for a kitchen of that size. It's a kitchen separate from the living room. It's not in the living room. They were very accommodating. Normally when there's a turnover of people coming in, they remove the carpet, change the carpet out, and repaint (as well as for the deck). They pressurize the deck. If anything needs to be painted, they do that. They were very accommodating to us because I'm going to be in a wheelchair for at least another two or three months until my second surgery. It's very hard for me to get on carpeting with a wheelchair. They were very accommodating, and they put down laminate wood floors. Wwe paid for half of it, and they paid for the other half. I was very happy that they could do that for us, so that I can roll around more easily. The kitchen and the bathroom already had vinyl in them, but everything else was carpeted. I was very happy that they could do that for us. They provide weekly housekeeping. If you want personal laundry, that would be extra. They have a laundry room on the second floor, and there are no coins required. It's a very large laundry room. You schedule a time for that, and people write their name on the board. They provide the meals and the housekeeping. There were things that were provided with the original cost. We had a nurse review our medical records with us and see if we needed any additional things. I was very happy with the room. They had a lot of windows, so it appeared very bright. He sent us a floorplan. They did all the measurements for us, so we could ahead of time figure out where we could space our furniture. They have a beauty salon. They have a lot of rooms. As you walk in, there's a large lounge with a TV. There's a library on three floors. They have different classes that are presented. They even asked us to do a book study or a religious service. They also bring in other faiths. They had another room where people were putting together puzzles. They have many gathering rooms as you walk in. There were four very large rooms off the main entrance that can be used, and they have the private dining room. Right now, if you were to bring guests in from the outside, with the COVID regulations, you can just say I want my friends to eat. For an extra $8 or $9 dollars, they could eat whatever we're eating in this private room. It is an older building, but it appeared to be very well kept, very clean, and very updated. The food was excellent.

Park View Villas was a very busy place; it's that time of year. The folks and the staff seemed to have good interactions with the clients, and the people were very friendly. I saw one room, it was in the process of being re-carpeted and set up. It looked like it was very adequate. They had a lot of decorations for the holidays, and some of them were quite striking. They obviously were creating a very warm environment for the people who were living there. The tables in the dining area were closer together than I would like to have them, but they were fancier than the other place I toured. The staff who gave the tour told me that he was very new. He'd only been in the job a short time, and it showed. They were in the process of setting the room up, but it looked like they were doing a very thorough job of preparing it for a new person to live in it.

We liked the location of Park View Villas. It was close to us. They also had clean facilities, lots of activities, and the management was definitely very kind and helpful to us. The staff member I talked to was very informative, very educated, and very open. They're all about open communication. The layout isn't too complicated once you figure it out, but it just depends on the individual. They're definitely super clean and nice. There's lots of grassy areas with benches outside, and plenty of room for people to walk around.

Park View Villas seemed like a very nice place. It's very spacious, very open, and clean. They've got great programs and the staff was very nice. The person who toured me was great. He's very personable and very informative. The only thing that bothered me was the layout of the bathroom. There's no grab bar to the toilet. So, there's no way somebody can pull themselves up. I asked about the possibility of one of those pull bars that go from ceiling to floor, but they said that they can't install that. Overall, my rating is still fairly well, since everything else seemed to be fine.

My mom is at Park View Villas. They are very helpful. The apartments are very nice, she's very happy with it. The grounds and the facilities are very nice and the people are extremely helpful. There's different community rooms, library facilities, the yard, and a very nice outdoor space. Because of COVID, the activities are limited, but they do like a happy hour. I think they are doing movies also. It's in the neighborhood, it's not in the middle of the city. It's pretty quiet, there's trees, and there's a park across the street. They've been very helpful and very kind. I was surprised at the price. I felt it was expensive, but that seems to be everywhere. I guess it's a fair price.

I toured Park View Villas. It was a really nice place. It was fabulous. The people were really nice. They had nice apartments. The ground was spectacular. It was some place you would like to be. They had everything there, e.g., the facility itself and the activities. Of course now with the COVID-19 thing, it's kinda hard. The lady, who is the director there, was fantastic. She was really personable. She really knows her staff and she makes you feel wanted as a person if you're going to stay there and stuff like that. There were no qualms. It was a really, really nice arrangement. My wife and I both went, but unfortunately, at the present time, my mom does not want to do this. You can get out and walk around the grounds. They have a huge pond there with goldfish. The grounds were all manicured really, really nice. I just wish I could get my mom up there because it would make it a lot easier for me. I only spoke with the director and she was fantastic. The people who were walking around the area seemed to like her also. It was a really good thing. We couldn't go inside, so this was done outside. She showed us the apartment that was available if my mom had decided to come. Everything was clean, really nice, and well manicured. They have a really good staff.

My sister has moved into Park View Villas. Our initial visit was very good. She has only been there about a week. The staff are very good. My sister is in quarantine at the moment, so she hasn't seen too much of the facility. They have activities, but she hasn't been able to experience that. Their rooms are nice. They have a van that will provide you with doctor's appointments or outings to a store if you're capable of doing that.

Park View Villas was very good, clean, and they're very hospitable. It was really good. I had lunch there and it was very good. They're right amount of portions, too. However, they didn't have a single cottage. They just have doubles or 2-bedrooms and it costs more. They have bus rides anywhere you wanted, and they have activities they take you to.

My parents have moved in at Parkview Villas. All I can say is I was highly recommended by local people to search for this particular place because they have a good reputation for caring staff, and it had the services that my parents required and some of the other places we looked at didn’t. They have a lot of activities but my parents weren’t interested in participating in any of the activities, so to me that was not an important factor. The rooms are moderately sized. I was a little disappointed that the entryways and hallways between the rooms, and even in the handicapped accessible, weren’t as wide as I thought they should be. I have actually seen them wider in other places. But it’s a very very comfortable apartment. The staff is very efficient. Seems like one right after the other is checking in to see if there’s something they can do, bringing medication, food or medical services, or whatever is needed. They seemed to be really highly responsible to their jobs. My parents don’t really care for the food. The dining room is beautiful, but the food, and I’ve seen it, is pretty mediocre. It’s not appealing. All of the entries in the hallway are a little bit narrow for wheelchairs. Also, better communication with the families. I know everybody is short staffed and they don’t have a lot of time, but I kind of feel I would appreciate more information than what I’m getting.
