The staff are so caring, they made it easier for my dad to be there during the lock down. My dad never had anything bad to say, they were so good at keeping up communication with us. I am so grateful for the staff her, my dad is home now, and it wouldnt have been possible without puget sound healthcare!

I'm a frequent visitor to one of the residents at Puget Sound Rehab. I am appalled at the slop that passes for food. It's disgusting. I always bring something edible with me when I visit, because I know the crap shoveled out for the patients is often inedible. In fact, one patient I did NOT know stopped me as I was leaving and asked me what the thing on her lunch plate was. I had no idea. Nutrition is an important part of recovery. And enjoyment of food is an important aspect of life if one is confined to a bed 24/7. Revolting food is unacceptable. If you value your loved ones, take that into consideration before plopping them into this horrible place.
Liz.

90 year old mother was in this facility for 30 days, supposedly to rehab from a recent surgical procedure. Most of the staff are extremely rude and condescending. Mom gave high marks to the housekeepers and laundry people, other than that the CNAs and therapists were not very attentive. Food was poor. As a family member, I was treated exceptionally rudely by some on the phone and in person when visiting. She was summarily discharged after 30 days, apparently after the Medicare approved benefit for her prognosis had run out, in far worse condition than when she was admitted. No discharge instructions presented on release?? They got their easy money from Medicare and kicked her to the curb. Corporate Health Care, Seattle style. Within a week she was back in hospital and is now safely in a much better long term care facility in rural SW Washington state.

Reading all the ratings which was 5 star, I helped my loved one choose Puget Sound Health Care. Due to COVID-19 she was quarantined for the required 14 days. One of those days my loved one gets a slice of tomato, slice of onion and a slice of bread the reason the aid said they ran out of food!!! She is a diabetic, and is allergic to tomatoes, and onion, this was just the beginning of care, sitting for hours in soiled adult briefs, only to end up with serious bladder infection, lying in bed for hours without being moved led to pneumonia. My loved one relied on all inclusive care, she was unable to do anything for herself. Some staff were very attentive, others could care less. The doctor assigned to this facility should have caught some serious health concerns, weak heart, causing legs to be swollen. Family members had to visit in the bushes, with all the flying insects. Yes, could the facility like all other business be creative and figure out safe measures to have family members and friends visit somewhere inside the double doors by having a reservation system. Finally, due to the care in this facility. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. My loved one ended up in the hospital for over 6 weeks due serious conditions, that could have been prevented. I think we take better care of our pets, then this facility takes care of the humans that are vulnerable. Just remember one day we will all be old, and may need care. These facilities become our homes. Respect, dignity ,compassion and caring is all that is asked. If staff and administration cannot meet these guidelines then don’t offer your business as a 5 star facility for care. Plus my loved one used up all 100 days of Medicare (with proper care and attention recovery could have been a positive outcome.).

Facility was clean, nursing staff was caring and attentive, the facility provider is very involved and supportive, the management team is very interactive and is great with the discharge process. They have the best therapy team I've ever worked with. The food is good and they're great about having options based on diet preferences. This will be the facility any of my family will go to if needed. I've been to many of the surrounding facilities and would definitely recommend Puget Sound!

I'm a resident here and the service is very bad in all aspects. I've been here for over 6 months now and finally getting my eye exam. The CNA here are veey bad and has attitudes with everyone. I've pushed my call button and have been skipped a lot to where ive have waited for a few hoursfor anyone to come. The aides have altitudes when you ask them to do anything. The aides can say whatever they want to the residents. I have been called a "asshole" by a aide but not happened to her. I have had my food spilled all over me because the aides has a bad day or attitude. Upper management don't care about certain residents. The rooms don't get cleaned everyday. The food is no good etc.... I was taken off therapy after a month for no reason. I would dig really deep into this place before coming here. The response time for calls are 45 minutes at least.

Our close friend and ex housemate is terminally ill and she is very accepting to think of it as her final home. The place is very clean, morning,. noon and night. We go there about three times a week but always different days and times as our schedule allows (and hers...she loves the Day trips, entertainment, Bingo etc. and the staff is very good to her. It is accessible 24/7, a very rare thing for these homes. We continue to pray for her and the staff. Of course we miss her a lot, but seeing her eyes shine when we arrive is worth it. Only complaint..the food is questionable, but I personally have never been in a care center where it isn't. These people are cooks in an institution, "not chefs". Keep that in mind!

After reading the reviews we were concerned about my husband's admission. We are very pleasantly surprised. The place is super clean, the staff is pleasant and caring. The food, most of the time, is o.k but there is definitely a room for improvement.

I was there for almost two weeks after back surgery. My feelings: because I have allergies, the food was terrible and wouldn't recomment it for my dog. As for treatment from the CNA's, most were nice but there were a few with attidutes that didn't belong there. They forgot who they were dealing with. The people they care for are the ones that pay their wages and if not for them, they wouldn't have a job. I was to have help using the restroom and most times had to go by myself and then sit and wait for someone because they didn't come. I had doctors orders for a shower daily, I went the first three days without because they couldn't find anyone to help, really? The first room I was in was by the nurses station, the wall between us was where they stored the patient folders, everytime they put one away, they would slam it in and wake us. This happened alll day and night. I started to complain and finally they asked if I wanted to be moved. I asked, what about my roommate? I said I would not move without her. Finally they moved us. No sooner did they move us, they put someone else in there. It was suppose to be taken care of but everyone ignored the sign so why would they do that to someone else. I was outraged by the whole experience and would not subject anyone I know to this and I hope all; who read this rethinks putting anyone here.

The facility looked clean but smelled of urine. I saw residents in the hallways that were incontinent but did not receive assistance in a timely manner. I was under the impression that there were not enough caregivers or nurses to properly take care of their residents. My father had difficulty staying hydrated, and a water pitcher was made available to him but he had no cups or any means to drink out of it. I asked repeatedly why he wasnt getting enough to drink and I was rebuffed. The meals however were well attended and well prepared. My father had a special diet and they followed it without fail. Overall I'd say that that staff is overworked and provide substandard service because of it. If given a choice I would never employ their services again.
