I had an uncle at Canterbury Gardens. That's a beautiful facility. He had excellent care there, and I would highly rate it. The staff was excellent. They were so good with him. It is a nice place. That was during COVID, so when we met, we had to go to a special room with just our uncle, so it was hard to tell what all was going on, but the help was excellent. It was a beautiful facility. The staff was just so good with him, and he was tough. He was really tough, but they just made him laugh, and "Let's go to work, Richard. I need help with a project down the hall," and away he'd go. He was there for eight months. I would recommend them.

My brother moved into Canterbury Gardens. The staff is very kind, attentive, and responsive to my questions and needs, so I don't have any problems. The layout seems very nice, it's very comfortable, but I really haven't been through the whole thing. I've just kind of been up and down the hallways and the entryways. It seems effective. They have a layout where the more advanced dementia patients are in an area of their own, so the people of the same level are together. I think that's probably a good thing for the residents. The facility is very clean, very lovely, and very comfortable. I got information about their activities, and I think that's a highlight for my brother. The activity director is wonderful. It's expensive, but I guess it is what it is. It is twenty-four-hour care, and it is memory care, so it is kind of intense.

Our experience with Canterbury Gardens was good, they were nice, helpful, and gave good service. They have a couple of courtyards and little shared-rooms that are good for two people. The kitchen was big and they have a local hangout area. One of their activities is snack-time where they would make snacks.

Canterbury Gardens is a nice place. We chose it for my mom mostly for its location. The rooms are nice, but they have 2 people per room. I really don't like that, but it's alright. They have activities all day long.

Our family had no idea what dementia looked like or how scarey it is in the beginning. We think Dad had been suffering from memory loss longer than we expected. Somehow he was able to hide it. We brought Dad to live with us. It wasn't long before we realized we did not have the skills to take proper care of him. That's when I called Canterbury Gardens. From day one I could see each and every employee knew what they were doing. Kind, caring, and great at communicating , not only the problems but also happy times.. After the first few weeks, Dad settled in nicely. I highly recommend Canterbury Gardens.

Vickie, thank you for writing this review and recommending Canterbury Gardens Memory Care Community. Your story is very similar to other family members, and we are thankful that you took a moment from your busy schedule and shared it with us. Our number one priority is the care and comfort for our residents, and we are so glad that your dad has settled in. If there is anything that we can do further, please contact the Executive Director.

They have been very helpful. They are redirecting her and helping her, so she is not anxious. She is in a shared room, and it is very nice. They have exercises and yoga, they go on walks and bus rides, and they have mental game activities as well as times when they watch movies. I have eaten with my mother a couple of times, and the food was good. The best thing about it is that it has an enclosed patio area, so that people can be outside doing different things and not have access to get out of the area. Also, it was very close her family.

My mother-in-law had been at Canterbury Gardens before for temporary care while we were gone. She would be there for a couple of hours at a time. The care was good; they’re nice to their patients. The food was adequate. I didn’t see any activities. It was for people that were Alzheimer's patients; they’re not out and about.

My grandmother was in this nursing home for about 5 years. It dealt with people with Deminta issues only. The staff was wonderful and they treated very one like family. The Facilty was very clean and very safe. They had key pads you had to use to get in and out of the wings. The only bad thing was that my grandmother had climbed the fince 2 times and got out. The food was good and they had great activites for them to do during the day.
