My husband was at ManorCare Health Services-Lacey. To me, they're okay. They took care of him. He had no complaints. The facility was great. It was clean. There's no negatives about it. Whenever we had questions, they would answer right away. If they can find the answer, they will get back to me as soon as they can. So that was good; that was great. They were very caring towards my husband. They made him walk to the therapy room so that he could get some exercise. They watched how he progressed, and they told me that he was doing good, which was great. My husband was in a private room. They also had a puzzle room and a TV room. They had a dining area. Overall, I think they did an outstanding job.

The facility is totally understaffed. You can wait hours for a response. If you are not ambulatory you will be stranded in your bed.

DFO NOT SEND YOUR FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER TO THIS PLACE! The Rehab staff were very competent and helpful. The food was ALWAYS cold and when it was sent back to be warmed, it came back luke warm and often they never brought it back. My family member went from 5PM to 9:30 AM the next day with nothing but a sloppy peanut butter sandwich at 10PM. The staff is either lazy or very untrained or they just dont care. Waiting 50 minutes to use the bathroom is ridiculous. Waiting 40 minutes for scheduled pain meds is also intolerable. I was told after 7 complaints that the issues were being handled. NOT !! It continued every day since. Just today she got a hot meal and that was because the PT Rep went and got the food for her. How can you heal with no food ??????? I was told by a director that they are "underpaid and understaffed" but why are they still taking in patients.????

My mother was in rehab for three weeks. She became very depressed and anxious during her stay. When she was discharged we learned that she had not been receiving one of her anti-depression medications during the entire stay. The discharge med list included old medications she was no longer taking. She complained that staff were overworked and not attentive to her needs since was bedridden for quite a while. When I left messages regarding the medication issues for the social services staff my calls were not returned. I explained that her psychiatry provider was trying to adjust her medication to help her with her depression so it was important to know how long she had been off of her medication. This is unacceptable and I would never send a loved one to this facility again.

I arrived by ambulance, from St Peter hospital, at the untimely hours of 4-5 PM. Missed dinner for awhile. An explanation of food services, menus needs to happen as soon as the patient is settled in. I was a rehab patient for approximately 14 days. I arrived totally bedridden but I am home now. So greatful for the patience, care and diligence of Physical and Occupational Therapy to get me out of bed and get me home. The Nurses, CNA's were very polite, attentive and caring. However they are very understaffed for the constant demands they must met. My private room was great and then I was moved in with a roommate. It was another great motivator to get home. As far as activities go there is a great deal of effort to include everyone in the whole facility to participate. There is Bingo, card games and people to just gather to visit. My only negative complaints are the food could be a little better and maybe a better variety of TV channels. I hope I don't have to go through this again but if I did, I would look at going back to Manor Care.

Don’t EVER bring your loved ones to this facility. The nursing staff is amazing but always understaffed. Management does not care about their employees let alone their patients. I will never come back here, and I have not one good thing to say about this terrible place. The workers are always tired and complaining how short staffed they are everyday. They treat the residents like they are animals.

The rehabilitation team is awesome. The CNA's and aides rock! Unfortunately the medical side of things is a different story. Our mother developed restless leg syndrome shortly after arriving at Manorcare. Took 3 weeks for the medical staff to get meds to correct the issue. Also when she transferred out to an assisted living facility Manorcare forwarded an old drug regimen with her. Meds had been added, and some removed during her hospitalization/rehab. A couple of drugs on the old plan actually were harmful and created a fall risk. (Low blood pressure) My recommendation for the families of patients at Manorcare PAY ATTENTION

The care at this place is NOT okay. Some of the nurses care but most are there for the paycheck. Meals were goods. My grandmother was in here during that time the care she received wasn't that great. When she was getting ready to be leave (come home) they reopened her wound so she had to stay longer. She was so depressed in there. I will NEVER let another family member or friends family stay there

ManorCare was fine. My dad was there for only one day then he got sicker. But for what I experienced for that one day, it was fine. The facility is very clean, and the patients were happy. The staff is very friendly and receptive to compliments. The rooms are very spacious and clean.

ManorCare Health Services were super. They are pricey, but probably the best choice of any that I have been to, and it is new. The residents seemed very happy.
