What I like the most about Highlander Place are the staff. They're very friendly and very helpful. My mom is in their assisted living area, and she raves about the food there. She cannot wait for the next meal. They have a lot of activities; they're doing things constantly. As a matter of fact, this afternoon there is a concert and a barbecue in the courtyard. She's very actively living there. Her room was all completely redone when she moved in. It has a refrigerator, a microwave, a walk-in shower, and cable TV. They have computers that the people can use, a living room, a dining room, an activity room, a courtyard, and a salon. I'm glad my mom could be happy outside of our home and that she's thriving there so far.

I went to Highlander Place. I liked the staff. I also liked that there's not a lot of people. I think they only have 30 to 40 residents, so it's smaller and it's more one-on-one. We did try the food. They had a luau when we were there. It was all home-cooked food and it was really good. The rooms were spacious and clean. The whole building was clean. It was updated fairly recently. The kitchen area was nice. It was like an open concept in the common areas. They have a courtyard that they can go outside. The staff was good. The facility was nice.

I toured Highlander Place for my husband and myself. I liked it a lot. I did like the fact that they kept you together. It was smaller, so you got to know the people pretty well and I talked to three different people there. They sat at the table and talked to us quite a bit and I was impressed with them. I think I probably would choose them, because they don't separate you. I thought the staffers were very, very helpful. They talked about different things that were helpful to me, and even if we don't go in, they gave me some helpful hints. So I just thought it was nice that they would sit there and talk to you and tell you all these different things. I was impressed. I think they had some people playing the piano. They had exercise and crafts.

We're taking my mother to Highlander Place. We're choosing it because it only houses like 40 people, the friendliness of the clientele there, and the cleanliness of everything. The place was absolutely spick and span. It was a beautiful place. They have nice rooms, good views, and my mom felt very, very comfortable there. We saw the menu and the dining room area, and it looked very good. They give you five choices each meal. Mom's going to have no problem finding what she wants to eat. They were right on it and have been right on it. The building was absolutely gorgeous. It's well-done and has been revamped a couple of years ago, so everything is brand-new. We also saw 1 room where somebody had left. They repainted it and redid everything for the next person that comes in. We got a little studio. It's freshly painted and has brand-new carpets. I don't think they're going to give her any rest. They have quite a few things scheduled every day. There's bingo after lunch every day. They have games. They have hobbies, and they have arts and crafts type things going on. There's a hairdresser there. There is a pedicure onsite. One of the things that encouraged me is that they encourage people to come out of their rooms and join. They don't just let them stay in the rooms. We were really impressed with the way it's designed. It's easy to get around, and she's not going to get confused (since she has dementia).

We chose the Highlander Place for my mother, and she's moving there. The rooms have everything that you can use, and you would need in them. They're very nice, we got Mom one that looks out the garden, like a little garden, and she was really happy when we took her there. The staff is really helpful, they'll answer any questions you have, and they're just very nice. They were doing their COVID shots. We weren't really going around because I haven't had my shot yet, and they gave my mom hers, and so we were kind of staying away. They're very clean, they're very good. I'm so happy that she wanted to go there. It's a small community, there's only forty people, we met a lot of people, and they're from 65 to 101 years old. I looked at their menu, and it looked like it was really good. My mom is not picky but they asked her what she would like. If there's anything on their menu that she did not like, and they're very concerned that they make everything that she likes. When I went the first day, they were playing bingo, and I guess they had something different every day. My mom can't wait to move in.

We took a tour of the Highlander Place. They don't have a lot of nursing care. I met two of the staff members, and they were nice, caring, and very nice to deal with. It's nice, neat, and clean, and everything was very nice because it has just been remodeled. It's away from town a little bit; there are no sidewalks near it for a senior to walk.

My mom moved into Highlander Place and the experience is very good. The place is very nice. They play bingo, do exercise stuff, play puzzles and all kinds of little things in there. There is always a little bit of something each week.
