We toured Brookdale College Place. The staff was extremely friendly. It was a very welcoming, warm environment and the place itself. I feel like it was just a matter of affordability, but that's all assisted living, so I feel like it's kind of it is what it is. I was given a menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to kind of show me what their options were. The place was very clean, warm, and welcoming, and there was lots of natural light to it and pretty spacious rooms. It feels calm and happy. Everyone, I think, was eating lunch when I came in. I feel like just across the board, everything was very warm, very kind, and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious and there were lots of room, like if someone was in a wheelchair or had a walker. It had easy accessibility.

I went to Brookdale College Place. It's a beautiful place, I would live there myself; but for my mother, it's way more independent living than for her at this point in her life. To leave out of her room, go down the elevator, go to the lunchroom, or back to her room, she would need someone with her all the time. She would just be a lost ball. The place is very nice. The people I talked to, the manager and his assistant, both were very nice and very pleasant. It was very clean and just very fresh. They had various activities, games, and TV. They have walking and various things. The atmosphere was very light and airy. They had big windows and lots of light shining through. Everything was pretty clean, it's very nice. It looked more like you were at a resort. While I was waiting, the different staff greeted me; so it wasn't like I was just waiting, and nobody paid any attention or realized it was there. They were very gracious.

Brookdale College Place was a nice facility. The residents seemed to be engaged. It's a two-story facility. The room that was shown was very nice and clean. The grounds were very nice. I only asked to see a studio apartment, and it was fairly small. They had a library, an activity room, a little dinner room, and several nice spots through the facility. The staff was very good. They've actually contacted me throughout the years inquiring about my mom. My biggest concern was how they handled Covid. It was very restricted, and it really made me step back a little on even considering them. In the dining room, the people were seated very, very far from each other, but they were kind of at the same table. It was very weird. I know they're trying to help, but I think there's a balance between helping people through the pandemic and making things somewhat normal. From what I saw, I wouldn't be comfortable putting my mother there.

Brookdale College Place was very clean. It was a nice place and it was very green. The staff did a very diligent job. They were very informative in trying to let us know exactly what the pros and cons were. As for going up and down stairs, they had an elevator. They were very good.

We had a nice visit to Brookdale College Place. The people there were nice, friendly, and answered all our questions. The director even came in and sat down with us, chatted with us, and made us feel at home. The rooms were lovely too. We were really impressed with their one bedroom. There was one that was like a round alcove, and it was full of windows that let in some beautiful light. The grounds were maintained beautifully too. We really liked the rooms in Brookdale College Place. They also kept the kitchen very clean, which is a big importance to me. We just did not get to sample their food.

Brookdale seemed very nice and had a library and lively décor but ordinary landscaping. The staff was good, though I didn’t see many staff members or residents when I visited.
