My wife is in HomePlace Burlington Memory Care. They are caring and affectionate. It's a good place to be. All these places are extremely high priced, as far as I'm concerned. They take good care of her, and that's what I was looking for. She has a two-bedroom apartment. There are two residents per room. She has a single bed and a dresser to put her clothes and stuff in. It's pretty well kept and clean. Dining is done in one big room, where they have everybody that's able to be there. The ones that are not capable of getting there are in their rooms. Upkeep and maintenance are very good. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate. The two years out of pocket pay is extremely hard. I'm not going to be able to make that two years of pay, so I have to figure out what I gotta do when this happens.

HomePlace Burlington Memory Care was very good. They had several little bungalows and each one had at least 1 or 2 caregivers. Looked like they did activities there, too, which I think was just phenomenal because they try to have people work to the best of their capabilities. I was impressed with that. There was a puzzle there and that's what they encouraged their residents to do. The lady was very personable and very informative. She was just very good and she emphasizes how they try to get their residents to be able to do things, not just sit around.

HomePlace Burlington Memory Care was very nice. The layout and the people were what made it, in my opinion. I liked the layout, the way it was maintained, and how it's set up. It's got smaller type units or groupings, which I think makes it very nice. From what I observed, that was probably one of the best places we saw. It was very clean. I just liked the whole layout and the way that they maintained it.

My husband is at HomePlace in Burlington, I feel very lucky he is there . The caregivers go out of their way to make him feel special and important. They do great activities including planting plants, painting pictures, playing games to keep the residents active. Thank you HOMEPLACE!

HomePlace Special Care at Burlington is a very small place and there are only 18 people, so there's a lot of one-on-one interaction. It's pretty much half the price of what a lot of other memory care facilities offer. The staff is approachable, easy to talk to, and they will either call or text you with things that you need to know. The food is better than what my mother was getting at Meals On Wheels. It's like being home schooled, but most of your education is based on what you're interested in.

We weren’t really impressed with Home Place; we just didn’t like it. It just didn’t seem like a place she would be comfortable with. The room looked dark, and it didn’t seem as nice. It seemed more institutional.
