My husband has moved into Mt. Baker Care Center & Summit Place Assisted Living. One of the things that his daughter and I really like about it is that there's a nursery school affiliated with it so my husband can look out his window onto the children's play yard. They do intergenerational things with the different age groups in the facility on a weekly basis, so people are getting a chance to be around little kids and can color with them and read with them and stuff like that. My husband is there for assisted living. He has a large studio place. They have a calendar of events. I know my husband went to the men's coffee hour last week. They have a lot of different activities. We have been working on arranging getting an OT and PT for him to start this coming week. They have stretching classes and different activities, some geared to men, and some geared to women. They seem to have a number of activities. The place seems to be very clean. One of the things that we liked about it was it was smaller, and everything was on one floor. It's a very manageable-sized facility. It's not a terrible long walk from one end of the building to the other. It looks like something my husband can manage easily. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very accommodating.

My mom moved into Mt Baker Care Center & Summit Place Assisted Living yesterday. The staff is fabulous. They are very helpful and friendly. The place is small, but it is homey and very down to earth. The room is very, very large from what I was expecting. It is clean and totally set up. It has a dining room, an activity room, and van services. One thing unusual about this place is that it has an onsite daycare and preschool. When it is not COVID, the senior centered people can go and read stories or do things like that in there. It is built as a sort of a multigenerational assisted living facility; but they have the usual activities, like bingo, trivia, and movie nights. The group votes on field trips that they want to take, so the activity list is sort of member run. It is also a good value for the money. It is a little bit on the cheaper end of the places in Bellingham.

My parent is currently residing in Summit Place. I visit here several times per week. She is pleased with her care and caregivers. The facility is nicely maintained with kind professional workers.

My dad had two visits at the facility in several months. The first was for two months of skilled nursing care that allowed him to go home and spend his last two months with my mom. His last visit was for a few days of hospice care before he died. The staff was very nice, professional, and always tried to do their best. I recommend highly.

When I visited Mt. Baker Care Center, I didn't think that their physical therapy room was well enough. At the time, they only had two or three therapists. However, the rooms were very nice, clean, and very well done. It was an excellent place. I absolutely would recommend them because of the quietness; there wasn't a lot of commotion going on.

I would like to say that the mount baker care center is a excellent facility with some of the best staff around that is highly trained and caring of the residents and each other. They work together to achieve a common goal of helping and caring for the residents to the best of there ability. The building is kept very clean and orderly things are very scheduled and efficient i have had no bad experiences while visiting. The residents seem very happy and content that all there needs are being fulfilled i would like to recommend this facility to anyone in the area who is looking for good care for a loved one. The cost is also very favorable compared with other places in the same area thumbs up all the way.
