My mom moved into Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. We like the facility. It's very well-kept and clean. My mom has a one-bedroom apartment, so she has a separate bedroom, a living room, and a large bathroom. She even has a small efficiency kitchen as well. It's been wonderful so far. Everyone has been very helpful and friendly. We like the layout of the memory care unit. The dining room is very close to my mom, so she didn't have to go far. My mom seems to like the food. I know they do outings sometimes and some little cooking in their little kitchen area. They'll bake a cake or cookies and try to get the residents involved. They come and encourage my mom to participate and get her involved, so that's been very good.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was very nice. I was impressed with the residents there. They were very social, coming up to start a very positive conversation. The grounds were clean. The room was clean. The staff was very informative, had a bright personality, and was very welcoming. I checked the dining area and it looked very homey and very comfortable. They offered a lot of social activities throughout the month, basically shopping, church outings, and certain restaurants they'd go to on a monthly basis. They even had a brewery tour.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was a very nice place. It was just too big. It was the same kind of community that Dad was coming out of. It had independent living to memory care. It was just very large and didn't have the personal kind of family feel. It just didn't seem like it felt right to me. It was very nice. It's just my own feeling of, I didn't want to put him into a larger setting again. I walked by the staff and said hi, I didn't have much interaction with them. I know they have music programs, bingo, and crafts.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was very nice. The people were friendly, informative, and willing to show me around. They were known by the residents by their first name. The facilities also seemed very nice, well-kept, well-maintained, and well-equipped. They had a swimming pool, a fitness center, very nice common areas, and nice outdoors with nice screened in porches. It was very appealing.

My tour at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg went great. It was probably the best place we toured. The lady that did our tour spent a lot of time with us, like getting to know what our situation was and getting to know the relative that we were looking for. She was very thorough, and she took her time with us. The rooms were great. We looked at one room that had an outside patio, which was very nice, and it looked very comfortable. The living atmosphere was very comfortable. The staff that we met were very friendly and very conscientious.

I was impressed with Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. It was a large building where you live in a room that was like an apartment complex. It was a lot easier to come out of your room and just go down and meet people. They had tons of activities. They had a whole bunch of things, including a movie theater and a decent-sized gym. The staff who assisted us with the tour was wonderful. We had dinner and they served the food instead of having to go through a cafeteria-type line, and we thought the food was good. The 2-bedroom apartment looked really small. The disadvantage of living in a big building is that you hear people going by. It didn't have much of a view because it was all indoors.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was an older facility, but very active. Everybody that I talked with was very pleasant. It was a large facility. They had several different sections. They had a really nice outdoor space. The rooms were very nice. They had 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. They had outside patios, which I liked. It is also still on my list. They had cottages as well. They provided meals, too.

We toured Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. It was a beautiful facility, and it had a beautiful dining room. It was very well-appointed and nice. It was more of a hotel-like community. It was really big, and they had a lot of residents. They had higher staffing than is required by law, and that was something that impressed us. We liked that they had cameras in the hallways so that they could keep track of what was going on. The rooms were big enough to set up a home-like environment. The lady that gave us our tour was wonderful. It was significantly more expensive than the other places that we visited. The activities were all listed for the month, and they were very organized.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was very nice. If I ever go into a senior place, that would probably be the one that I would pick. It's not so confining. It had a front door and a back door that leads to a little patio. It didn't feel like an apartment. It felt more like home. They provide just about everything to their residents. They provide transportation to your doctor's office or if you want to go shopping, they serve two meals a day, and have different activities like arts and crafts, wine tastings, and stuff like that. The staff was great. They wanted to be sure that I understood everything. They have called me and invited me to picnics, to view the functions that they have, to dinners, and lunches. They went above and beyond. It's peaceful and gorgeous out there. They have trees around whereas a lot of the other facilities don't have.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg and worked with Tina. She was lovely and very, very nice. She showed us all around and explained everything very clearly. It was clean, and it had a lot of amenities that my mother would like. They had a little cafe area and nice apartments. The upkeep was good. It's a very nice place.

My family and I had very high hopes for this facility. However, my father who has lived there for 9 weeks has been neglected . He has had approximately 3 or 4 showers the entire time he has been there, he has fallen due to lact of supervision 7 times one of which led to stiches. I came one day and his wet clothes were hanging in a tree in the courtyard. The care plan has not been adhered to and the lack of compassion is disturbing. My father had an accident and there is still a spot on the floor where urine remains. The food is horrendous. This facility has a "blame" culture that is very slow to resolve issues instead they just point the finger ant everyone else. Try any where else first!

I went to Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg, it was nice, but they are awfully expensive, and the building is old. Everything they had to offer was also offered at the other facility. The lady that showed us around was nice. I had a meal there, and the meal was awesome there, but it's just too rich for my blood. The staff did very nicely on the tour. They have a fitness center, they have a swimming pool, they have a lot of activities there.

The Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg looked as if it could be accommodating. The staff was knowledgeable and open to a lot of fresh ideas. From what I saw, the people were very friendly and open for conversation. It looked like they would have a little something for everybody to move into. It depends on what you're looking for.

My mom is in independent living at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. Everything about the place is outstanding. It was great during the first visit, and it was great the second visit. They did everything in their power to make it possible for us to be able to move Mom there, so they are the best place in Williamsburg as far as I'm concerned. The staff is excellent, they're very friendly, and very helpful. It's perfect. All I had to do was call them and tell them what time I was showing up with Mom, and they were waiting for us. In terms of activities, she really hasn't had a chance to get involved with too much yet, but she definitely loves the way the dining facility is set up, and now I think she's going to start getting more into the arts and crafts and things like that, but she hasn't had a chance to do too much yet. The food is great, she loves it. I can't come up with a bad thing to say. It's been nothing but a pleasant experience. They have their calendars full every month as far as the kind of activities that they offer and everything. Plus, they have a council that residents are members of, so they can have buy-in on what kind of activities they would like to see, or if they're not seeing everything they want to see, so it's a nice setup.

My sister has chosen Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. She hasn't moved in yet, but so far, everyone has been very nice. The tour was wonderful. I saw the room that they're going to move my sister to. It's a studio with a nice large bathroom. I like the fact that it has a little kitchenette, a microwave and a small refrigerator, which is all nice. It is just the right size for my sister's furniture that we're going to move in. We did a virtual thing with one of the chefs a month ago. Because of Covid, they weren't doing the meals. We were able to watch a virtual tour of the lunch that they were doing. We haven't actually eaten any of the food, but we have seen it, and it looked good. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We had paperwork to fill out, and they did it very quickly. The staff was very professional. I enjoyed it a lot. Everything was very clean, and everyone was wearing masks. My sister will move in within the month.

I was satisfied with the tour and the staff seemed to bend over backward to show me most of the amenities they also brought some dinner to our house. It was very good! They have also followed up with me several times.

I visited Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg. They offer a good price. With independent living, they have a cafeteria. What's good about it was like a stepping stone to assisted living, cause it's less expensive, it's less care, so that's what we liked about it. My mom is 92 and she's in pretty good shape. So, she can move around pretty good on her own. They had good layout. It had 1-bedroom, a studio, 2-bedrooms, and the layouts are pretty good. They had villas that were off the main building. There's a lot of variety. One is in the main building that was pretty good and modern. They're good people and friendly. They had a pool, an outdoor pool, and walking trails. In the main building, they had cafeteria place, they have a memory care unit and assisted living unit.

I toured Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg and I liked it the best. It's pretty expensive, and during the quarantine you're not even allowed to visit your family members, so I definitely want to wait until that's different. It's perfect, it has swimming pools, it's a big place with a walking trail, and I really liked that. It's kind of like a resort. They have all the different levels of living, and when things are normal they have parties, activities, and swim aerobics. It has a whole bunch of buildings, and grounds to walk around. They didn't have a buffet because of COVID, but I think they're delivering food to people's rooms.

We would not consider the accommodations at Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg for the price that they offered. A lot of reconditioning was done to the facility. The residents could go from independent living to assisted living to memory care. They had a library, and the dining facilities were pleasant. We had lunch there the first time that we visited. They had an activity room, a person who ran the fitness program, and an outdoor pool. They had villas, but I was not pleased with the big trees hanging over the small building. It was pretty good though because they had a one car garage in the villas.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg seems nice, but the assisted living part has lower ceilings than the independent living. I just liked the other place I visited better because it had more light and space. The person who showed me around was very nice and answered a lot of my detailed questions. She was very helpful, but they didn't know about my appointment when I showed up so, it took a little bit of time before someone came and met me. The low ceilings just felt a little bit claustrophobic to me, but the people there seemed happy. They have multiple buildings and the parking was difficult so it felt overwhelming to me.

Brookdale Chambrel Williamsburg was nice. The lady during the tour was very nice, very accommodating, and showed me around. I saw a nice little villa with a garage attached. It's a bigger facility than the others I looked at, with more people, a little more formal, and a little more expensive. The lunch we had was quite good. The apartments were comfortable, and the villa had a little porch on the back. They have normal activities, and they have a bus that takes people downtown to shop, outings to lunch, and sightseeing.

I really liked the apartments at Brookdale Williamsburg. The staff during the tour was very good. The meals depend on whether you're in assisted living or in the apartments. They would wave the regular fee to join, which was good. They are building a new Alzheimer's/dementia care unit, which is what I need for my husband at this point.

Brookdale was outstanding. My husband liked it there, but there was more availability right now at the community we chose. It is familiar to me because an acquaintance was there before. It’s slightly more expensive but not that large.

Brookdale Williamsburg was very nice. In fact, we stayed overnight. We were going to get a hotel room, and they said, "No, stay here with us." So, we stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. We were shown all around, and it was very nice. The food was very good, too.

Chambrel was very similar to the place I am moving into. The only difference is you rent the facility there in Virginia and, of course, we buy it here in Iowa. The rooms were nice. I have eaten the food there, and their chefs went out of their way to take care of my diet requirements. I was able to speak with the managers, the assistant managers, the chefs, and the workers that keep the place clean and maintained.

Brookdale Williamsburg is a quite nice home for Mom. It's like a condo complex that doesn't look like a retirement community. The food is acceptable, the staff is terrific, and the grounds are really nice. It's a park-like community located next to a forest. It has lots of activity areas, roaming around areas, and a pool outside.

Very new and well appointed. 32 residents. Way too big and noisy for what my wife needed. Lots of little things were not as portrayed. Not enough caregiver time spent on any one individual. Food was not really to her liking but we were adapting. Drive was too far from Hampton. Just the wrong place for her but we had to try it.

Chambrel was very nice. It was quite lovely, but it was in Williamsburg, and our daughter is going to move to Newport News, and that is why we want to move there. They have all the activities that you can think of. They have exercises, movies, trips, concerts, lectures or anything you want practically.

My mother is in an assisted living place called Chambrel at Williamsburg. She is at the same place where she was before. She has been there for four years, and she just moved to a different apartment where she is getting more help. She liked it there, and she is doing fine there. The food is fine. It's the same food that she had before. It's prepared for both the independent living people and the assisted living people. They have their own activities director, and they have a lot of activities there. It's been a wonderful experience. The staff is very easy to work with.

I visited Chambrel. The rooms were nice. They had everything that everybody needed. The staff was straightforward. They would tell you right off the bat. I asked them right away if they were affordable, and they were upfront with me. When I was there, some people were doing bingo, and some were doing craftwork or something of the sort. I just wished they had more affordable assisted living for people who couldn't afford them.

My mother’s care is doing very well at Chambrel. There are all sorts of activities available but she hasn’t used any of them yet. She’s on oxygen so she goes up to the dining room and right now that’s the extent of what she’s doing. They post many activities they have planned for them and they have this all the time. They have transportation, physical therapy and all that stuff there; and she’s been to the salon so the salon is also a benefit. It’s an old place but clean. The staff is excellent. They’re so polite and they are so caring. I would recommend it. It’s got all things in house. The chef does an excellent job with the food. I’ve tasted the food and my mother seemed to be very pleased with the food. All the people there are just as nice and personable; and so I don’t think you could ask any much more than that.

I really truly liked Chambrel. All of it was very nice and open. The people were very nice and pleasant. They were very responsive, if you needed something. They had many activities. At that time, they had a choir singing and hand bell choir. They had a library, computers, and card games. Their dining area was very comfortable.

Chambrel is beautiful. Their apartments are a whole lot bigger. It cost a fortune from my point of view. But they're nice. A couple of their apartments were as big as a house. And that would have been just fine. But we couldn't go beyond that. I wandered around but I never got to see the person that was in charge. He went somewhere and it took him 3 weeks to call me back, so I wasn't that much interested. The place was large and most of it was retirement living, and the assisted living was on top of that. It's so expensive. It was high-class. It was a mixture of retired people that wanted to live there and then if you had to have assisted living that was on top of that, that's why it got up to be $7,000 to $9,000 a month. By the time I got to there, I wasn't much interested because it's just too expensive.

I found Chambrel very nice. The girl who helped me was very personable and knowledgeable. I really like the facility, and it was actually one that was on my mom's short list if she moved down here. I looked at the independent living which was like apartments. They were very nice and very spacious. They had bingo, reading groups, movie nights and trips out shopping. I'd like to move there.

Chambrel at Williamsburg was the first one I toured at Williamsburg and this place is very nice. The place was very elegant. Everything was excellent although it was a little too far. The residents were very friendly and nice. It was like home. The people there interacted well with each other and they welcomed me and they said they hope I would come and stay with them. The amenities were good. Some students would come in periodically and would perform for the residents and I really like that one.

Chambrel had really nice apartments. The food seemed very good. The staff I met seemed very nice but I heard some not so great things about them when I talked to people, but I don't know it firsthand. However, they made it sound that they had more than they had and My mom thought it was too fancy for her.

My wife was partially paralyzed from breast down. She stood up and went to sit down in her wheelchair and broke her left hip and right ankle. I was on the road and put her in the assisted living until she was well enough to come home. This facility allowed her to have our 2 dogs there. The staff was very helpful to get my wife in. She loved the place. She got the care she needed to get her legs to straighten out and the right foot that dropped. They had all kinds of recreation to pass the time and to make new friends. The food was very delicious. You got to order off a menu. You were close to many shopping malls, movie taverns, and sights to visit. They have transportation to take you to your doctor's and other places. I would reccomend this place to anyone who needs assisted living.
