My mom will move into Poet's Walk Warrenton once a room becomes available. Poets Walk was a fine facility. It was just a little more than we needed at this time, and we weren't ready for a lockdown facility for Mom. They had a nice common area. They were actually doing a birthday party when we were there. It seemed very nice, and I get to see the dining area and the place where they had games, and they all seemed very nice and very friendly. The whole facility seemed to be in good shape.

My husband is already in the Poet's Walk Warrenton. I thought it was one of the nicest places that I've toured, it looked more like a fancy hotel than an institution. Everybody there was very friendly and it was very clean. All the people who were staying there seemed very happy, I was just very impressed with the whole atmosphere of the place and the care of the people. I have not tried the food but my husband says it's really good, and it looks good. They have things going on every day, I've observed different activities that they've had. They have religious services that go on, they play different games and music.

I have been to Poet's Walk Warrenton but the atmosphere was very dark, and the energy was very low. Though it may not be like that all the time, it may just be the time of day that I was there. The administrative staff was great but the facility itself was not what I would call inviting. I talked with the PT who was not very knowledgeable, so it kind of made me think she wasn't skilled.

We had a really good tour experience here. The people were super nice, very polite, and professional. They took the time to take us on a tour and explain the process of how their memory care facility works. I'm brand new to this, so I was going in not knowing anything, and it was an eye-opener by going there. The apartments, the layout, and everything about it were laid out nice. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were larger than I expected. The courtyard that they had was nice too. They have a schedule of their routine, a salon, a podiatrist that comes in regularly, field trips two or three times a week, and a lot more to keep them busy. What I also liked about them was they have respite care, which was one of my questions if that's available, so I'm glad to hear that they support that one.

It was lovely. I was happy to see that they do handle all levels of memory care so my dad can stay there as his dementia progresses. They were all very nice and it seemed like they were very attentive to me, taking the tour, but also to the residents. As we walked through, they knew everybody's name and said hello. The facility is a little bit bigger than I had originally wanted as far as the number of beds, because there's like 60, and I had originally been looking for something a little smaller, but I felt like the care that they had to offer was worth it to be in a slightly bigger place. They could move with my dad as he progresses with this dementia, so I don't have to worry about moving him or losing him again down the line. I got to see the menu and see some people that were eating. They said it was very good, and they were enjoying their meal. They could have access to food whenever they needed it, and it had a variety. It looked like they had lots of activities too, like gardening and some movie watching.

We had a great tour here. It's one of the places that we're going to consider for my mother. We were impressed with this facility and with the staff, but somebody definitely has to have a memory diagnosis. It's not a regular assisted living facility. They seem to be very caring and very attentive. It's very clean, it hads nice decor, and it's got a positive feeling. We had lunch and it was fine. They had a nice dining room.
